Thats funny i saw something floating over my city flashing the other day and just didnt think really anything of it other than something was flashing irregularly at me it did like flash flash and than off and than another quick one. Almost like someone was holding a mirror and shining the sun into my eyes or something. I just thought it was beautiful sent it some love and kept moving

What gets me about the vid i posted is the ufo moving left to right very amazingly fast. Its about 38 sec into the video. Hard to miss actually

I did see the object in your post, but not without expanding the youtube poster's explanation, he should have mentioned the blimp at the beginning of the text, as it is not obvious as to what it is first off, but then, you look for something else and you find. If you go by the video and accept it as a UFO, then it is accelerating from a given point at where it is seen to a given point where it is not seen, then decelerates to a point where it is seen again, then repeats the cycle. So it is not just passing by.

So where was the military while all this was going on? Isn't there a base nearby on Long Island?

Did their radar pick them up? We're they out checking them out? We're they chasing them?

Has anybody seen any military/police reports?

What does your photo have to do with UFOs in New York? Aren't those lights in your pic a reflection from an electric light in the room behind you?

Seeing as you took this through a window, could that not be a light or chandelier, etc reflecting in the window. Looks more inside than outside. Also that picture in the link is in fact fake. If you read the description it says something to the effect sightings "LIKE" this.

The original photo in this thread looks like a light fixture reflecting on the glass of the window. However, if the poster actually saw these outside of the window, then they were likely the balloons that were released yesterday for the event with the mayor, etc.
That's the million dollar question, isn't it?

The photographer would have seen the same thing the camera sees, if he never moved his head. In that case you might not know if it's an inside reflection or something outside. However I find this scenario implausible, as it's almost instinctive to shift your head a little bit, even if it's just leaning forward and leaning back to pick your beer up and put it back down, and at that time you would notice it's an inside reflection, I think, because an inside reflection would shift differently than something outside.

Kudos to the people who say this looks like a reflection, that observation was largely absent in the first three pages of this thread. That was my very first impression and DepthOfField's explanation for why it looks like a reflection is compelling.

It could very well be balloons as you say, but all of the pics I have seen from this day are objects in formation or some sort of pattern. I remember releasing a whole mess of balloons at once as a kid and well they kind of went all over the place. They soon disappeared within 5-10 mins... Weren't the objects in question hanging around for an hour or so? Great theory tho.

They were bundled balloons, tied together. Look closer.

Reflection of interior lighting on window glass becomes increasingly more noticeable as darkness approaches. The redness on the horizon shows that the sun is going down and this indicates the conditions were very good for capturing such a reflection off that window. This, combined with the likelihood that the windows would be double glazed, would seem to account for the dual-image aspects of the shining objects. So, I'd agree with posters who suggest that this is just a reflection of interior lighting.

I'm waiting patiently for the OP's punchline...

It seems that he was much more successful here on this thread, than he was when he suggested this....

And yes, of course they are reflections in a window.

according to the daily news, these were balloons from westchester.

www.nydailynews.com...

scroll down to the video section.

a stretch that the balloons could travel from westchester to the city and remain at that level
