...ok, you are right. I did in fact contradict myself. I guess that is from having been flipping back and forth between the message/video and my commenting that I lost my train of thought.

Well, the question is this then. If this was a guy flying an RC, why was he arrested? I have lived in "ruralsville" all of my life and we pretty much can do anything at anytime without being arrested

*sigh* Lights in the sky. I've got a fair amount of experience with RC aircraft and at 1st glance my thought was RC Heli's. Led's are bright. Turning the lights on and off can give it the appearance of dipping behind a house then appearing somewhere else. I don't think the stoner crew knew anything about the RC's. They reacted like most people would who'd never seen something like that.

But being as it's debunked already I guess it doesn't matter.

A daytime shot from the identical position would have given a better concept of depth. I think the proximity of the streetlight creates an illusion of greater distance.

But anytime someone sees lights in the sky that appear to be far away and have super bright lights but no substance to them your thoughts should immediately be RC or Lasers on glass.

If it's over your head and longer than your house then take me to your leader. Otherwise take me to the RC club when they are dogfighting...

seemed pretty realistic to me. Could be CGI or RC airplanes with lights though.

One thing I thought was "off" was that toward the end, one of the UFOs meandered way over to the right of the screen area toward the car that had just passed - not certain they'd have noticed but I would have been freaking out at that point. "Dude, it's going right toward that car!! OMG!!"

Definitely looks authentic to me. Could very well be R/C something. They frequently mention them being right above houses in a neighborhood and at one point one appears to drop behind a house, which could be a landing in a yard or field of some sort if it was an R/C. A cluster of these: www.frozencpu.com... would produce that light, I use them on my pc. However, at the speeds they were traveling they would have had to been reasonably powerful motors. Have any of you ever heard a gas powered R/C? They are LOUD, something would have come up on the audio.

However, I guess we'll find out more with the other videos.

I've never seen an RC copter in action, or an LED kite. Having not, if I saw either in the sky at night, I would think I was surely seeing a ufo, so it was at least an honest mistake.


Unless of course, there is an active kite club in College Station, and those filming are members, or somehow knew what they were seeing. Let us hope it was just an honest case of ufo mistaken identity.

Just occurred to me, and I'm thinking outside the box here, do you think these videos could all be cleverly faked as an extremely clever viral marketing ploy for this...

Aha! Excellent point. Landing them to replace batteries or something? Make adjustments and such.

Can you describe what laws of physics that were being defied?

I haven't seen any videos showing something an aerobatic RC helicopter couldn't do.

The guy who uploaded these videos was there, he said they were RC aircraft, and the people flying them got busted.

So all we have left is one sighting in Texas (the OP) filmed by drunk stoners who probably couldn't tell it was RC aircraft even if they were sober.

Not very believable if you ask me. The object is behind the street light and causing a glare on the vid. This keeps you from picking it apart to see what is behind there. The commentary is almost like they are making sure we are aware of all the things it is or isn't.

Wouldn't you at least have a touch of fear in your voice or at the very least show some concern.

Based on the trajectory of both objects, the fact that they keep coming together around the same area, and aren't making any sounds, my best guess would be 2 kites with lights. Its easy to do and they really do seem to have a flight path similar to that of a kite. That's what it looks like to me anyway.

You've gotta be kidd'n me! With people out there that "think" (or should I say, dont think) along this line, it's no wonder we cant get to the bottom of this subject. You would likely ridicule an actual alien being if it landed in your living room stating that it's a hoax because it looks too real to be true... Are they supposed to be screaming bloody murder while running down the street yelling "The Aliens Are Coming!!!"? They're just a few folks hanging out drinking beer and chillin. This is a legit as it gets for me.

No offense dude but this post just shows how out of touch you are with the world today and so how you're not any sort of authority to discuss how kids talk nowadays.

The "cropped video" is called an iPhone. Google it. That is how the iPhone records video. I mean, where have you been? And if you dont know that, then no wonder you cant tell that this is actually how people talk nowadays.

I dont know what the lights are, but the video is legit.

Sorry guys, no ufos here. My friend who lives in College Station sees those lights all the time when he takes out the trash at night. He too thought they were ufos at first but he found out from his dad that they were just RC kites from a grade school.

That's exactly the place in Singapore I wrote about in my first post!. That where they fly those motorised LED kites.

At the beginning of the video, you can even see the restaurant I was sitting in!
