Here's the thing. I totally believe that there are things in this world that we can't explain. I believe that yes, other race(s) have stopped by and checked out the earth for whatever reason.

I do not however believe that another race stops by, hangs out on a random residential street and proceeds to fly around in circles and figure 8 patterns close to the ground.

Why don't I believe this? For the same reason that some of the same people that are quick to argue that advanced races that can travel through the Galaxy either faster than light or through some other method, haven't just decided to wipe us out because they've grown passed that. So let me get this straight. Another race, possibly millions of years more advanced then us, allows its members to fly around random residential streets at night for no other reason then for the fun of it? Really?

I do however think that a couple of people would get together with some RC equipment, or Kites with LEDS and fly them around at night because they think it looks awesome. Unless of course there is some kind of military advantage to equiping test aircraft with super brite color changing lights and proceeding to fly them around in a manner and at heights which they will be spotted. I mean, they did that with the U2 right? Millions of dollars of development to mess around some college campus? Come on guys. Give yourselves some credit here.

One of you guys who are so positive that this video is legit while being filmed on an Iphone go run outside with one if you have one. Ideally with a friend. Have your friend stand say... 3 blocks away... or 4. He should then make a whirrrrrring sound and see how well that comes across on your Iphones Mic.

Seeing the helecopter flying around the blue light for awhile is way strange though...

It is so illegal to fly any r/c aircraft in vicinity of any aircraft, whether it is lighted, or daytime..

In the 3rd vid the object looks like it is pretty high for r/c

Yes it still could easily be remote control hobby aircraft, but I am not 100% convinced of that

I fly r/c aircraft a lot and am familiar with the rules regarding them... If you did what was in this video and other aircraft reported it, you would be getting a visit very quickly by the FAA and the Sherriff, and they would arrive quick... Seen it before, for a lot less that is in these vids..

No one actually knows 100% what it was yet. the likely thing is mundane though.

Just wondering does anyone of out resident RC experts, know of groups going on night missions flying their RCs in sync, illegally. I have noticed the guy being arrested for flying illegally, and I tend to agree with the RC theory after reading this thread but it does seem odd. Ne ways this mystery has got me through a tough work day.

Yeah...it's most likely these RC helicopters. They happen to be all around my city and people always mistake them for UFOs.

I seen it with my own eyes... Area Lifes 1 Block long...6 Police and 5 semi trucks with out loud sirens with police saying, right there in that parking lot, moving at a speed faster than man.. along with heavy machinery on the back of trucks, taking up 1 block with Sirens and trucks and fire departments, special police cars and several black trucks chasing something on feet that is moving super fast... Same UFO on ABC news in China.. Officially a UFO spotted, on the news, live.... Stay tuned for more...

Lot's of people are saying that these movies are fake because of the way the filmers are commenting or using their words, now that is total BS!
I don't know what is in those movies, but those comments are real

last year ago I filmed my own ufo's (turned out later to be 5 Thai party baloons) but my comments where exactly the same... it's how you react when your surprised and exited and maybe a bit freaked out.

it seems there is a leading edge and that its v shaped, like the leading edge on an ultra light, plus the lights seem to be only on the leading edge and not all around the craft. because the whent he craft seems to be going away from any of the people who have filmed it the lights changes from a solid line to 2 dots as if you are seeing the back of the leading edge that not lit and therefor you the camera person sees only the edges of the back of the wing.

its strange though the chopper doesnt once in any of the many many many many vids on youtube put a spot light on the craft, that is suspect to me, something is defintely in the sky and is up in the air for quite some time, plus it seems to be up at about around 1000ft. It would be nice if its range could be estimated as well.

Additionally the chase vid is interesting something is going on there and Im interested hearing more from the guy that filmed that,

and why hasnt any of this been on the news yet. it seems hundreds of people saw and were very effected by this craft. I bet a lot of people called the cops about it that night.

I also think that its more human to co-ordinate and event like this to a date ie 10-10-10 that seems like a very human thing to do to add drama etc. why would aliens use the same calender as us if they've been around for far longer like millions of years,

if it is aliens the fact they showed up on this date I would think is purely coincidence ,

I have been following the threads regarding the 10-10-10 blue light and car "chase" footage and I have also looked into the suggested mass UFO sightings that will take place on 13th of Oct 2010 according to NORAD Officer Mr Stan Fulham.

I have heard both sides of the current speculation and I am still on the fence with this one.

It could well be some form of RC Craft or easily also it could be something else.

What strikes me as odd is that no official statement has been released to close the case and cease the speculation.
Surely if this was a Kite or RC Club event someone would have already stepped forward and just come out and said "it was me/us...sorry for the commotion". The fact no one has come forward is strange given all the speculation.

Also the chopper in the air following this thing... strange.

The fact it was on 10-10-10 was... strange.

And the fact it is days before 13-10-10 is well.... strange.

Some say coincidence is more than mere coincidence... i guess we will see.

Still its all very strange.

Yes you did miss something, the fact that a real live helicopter was circling the "toy", do you think the police was chasing a toy in the air? or what ever that heli was

there are some places where the FAA restricts the height you can fly a kite.

2. BACKGROUND. Modelers, generally, are concerned about safety and do exercise
good judgement when flying model aircraft. However, model aircraft can
at times pose a hazard to full-scale aircraft in flight and to personsand
property on the surface. Compliance with the following standards will help
reduce the potential for that hazard and create a good neighbor environment
with affected communities and airspace users.

3 OPERATING STANDARDS.
a. Select an operating site that is of sufficient distance from populated
areas. The selected site should be away from noise sensitive areas such as
parks, schools, hospitals, churches, etc.
b. Do not operate model aircraft in the presence of spectators until the
aircraft is successfully flight tested and proven airworthy.
c. Do not fly model aircraft higher than 400 feet above the surface.
When flying aircraft within 3 miles of an airport, notify the airport operator,
or when an air traffic facility is located at the airport, notify the control
tower, or flight service station.
d. Give right of way to, and avoid flying in the proximity of, full-scale
aircraft. Use observers to help if possible.
