I think this is like what the fiftieth time I'm having to repeat myself to you-why is that? BEFORE reading or knowing any scripture, I heard an audible invisible voice as if sitting to my left one night that said He was Jesus, died for my sins and if I believed in Him I would never perish. NOW where else do we see all things related to that Name and that circumstance?

Did Jesus tell you to turn a book in to your God?

Did he that night tell you to never speak your own words as you hear them from God?

If believing in him is enough, why silence your heart to let a book be the only word of God you know?

Do you not see him all around you?

If Jesus promised you salvation before you read scripture, do you call him a liar and turn to scripture now?

With Love,

Your Brother

the son of man?

numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Jesus is the living testament of God. He lived his life according to Gods will. What was that will? To love each other.

What have we done with this lesson?

We have allowed it to be usurped and controlled by Men for power, not love.

Open your eyes, the Bible is a Book. Jesus lives outside a book. He lives in our hearts if you let him. You let him by following his example and loving each other. It was all he asked us to do.

Love God with all your hearts, and your neighbor as yourself.

Where in that does it say keep the Bible as the word of God?
Where in that does it say lift yourself up over others because you have this book?
Where in that does it say kill in his name?
Where in that does it say judge others?
Where in that does it say silence your heart?
Where in that does it say there is no other ideas of God?
Where in that does it say build empires up and control each other??

Open your eyes, the bible is a book. Jesus, his lesson is in and comes from the heart.

Have we not shed enough blood?
Have we not let enough starve?
Have we not let enough suffer?

With Love,

Your Brother

My friend,

I was loving my neighbor before I read the Bible.
I was helping others before I read the Bible.
I was doing everything I could to help mankind in my own little way before I read the Bible.

The Bible gave me life because I found the answer was not in a book, it was already in my heart.
It gave me life because I spent a lifetime searching for answers and found that I already had the answers that prophets and martyrs died for. My search was over.

You just never bothered to ask me why.

With Love,

Your Brother

Because the word of God is never meant to be in writing. It causes idolotry. When you have idolotry men will fight over the idol. The only reason to write down the word of God, is to push it on someone else or to declare others word of God as false. What is the word of God? Jesus demonstrated it with his life. It is LOVE.

Your Brother

He sure did did'nt He-

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations

He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters

men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts

He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence

Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village.

While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts

all written in the bible

Exactly my friend. Jesus went to teach. He did not write his words down and send others to teach. He went and did it himself. How did he teach? By demonstration. This is what his disciples were supposed to do as well. They did for a time. However, they were growing quickly and became a threat to Rome. So Rome made them put the teachings to writing, wrapped them in Judaic and Pagan teachings and traditions, then took control of the teaching.

How many priests do you know who will wash your feet?

Go to the Vatican and see for yourself. I have.

How many teach by example to care for the poor by giving up ALL for them?

My friend, I am trying to teach the way Jesus taught. He did not use a bible. He did not recite scripture. He did.

With Love,

Your Brother

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone.' "

see our iron sharpening session did work for the good and is a new memory to the experience for me, that I had never even thought about or recalled-I had just remembered it was when I had begun to open it up, then heard the voice-then awestruck I quickly stood to my feet, turned to the voice and said yes Lord! and now I do think I was still holding that small green Gideon NT that an American woman had left on the bar a few days earlier, thanks every detail is important to me

I love it when you speak my friend. I get to know YOU that way. You have a beautiful story to share. I would never want to see the Bible destroyed as it brings you and many others inspiration. I have a Bible, I will put it some where safe. If you ever lose yours, ask, and I will send you mine. Just never let any harm come to anyone over it, and never beat someone over the head with it.

The important thing with the Bible is to learn the lessons contained within, most especially the lessons of Christ. His life story was a true testament to love. He set the bar by which we should all measure our lives.

We may not be able to be Jesus, but we can emulate his love with our lives.

Thank you for sharing my friend. If you remember more of your experience, I'd love to hear it in its entirety.

With Love,

Your Brother

1 Corinthians 13 (NIV)

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Consider that there was perhaps not another man that walked the earth who had more revelation than Paul, yet even he believed his knowledge and understanding was incomplete or has he describes like looking at a dirty mirror.

Paul said in his Epistle that all Scripture was "God-breathed" and useful for teaching, correcting and encouraging.

Paul said in Ephesians that the word of God was like a sword, able to cut into the very spirit of a person.

The Bible alone is not enough according to Paul, but it is powerful and able to reach into your soul for better or worse like no other literature, perhaps. But Paul taught in the beautiful passage of 1 Cor. 13 that words alone are not enough. Even with the word of God we are incomplete, Paul was incomplete.

Many a tyrant throughout human history has built his life on the words of the Bible and commited great portions of it memory, but that didn't stop them from abusing humanity like a dog's chew-toy. Without the heart of Christ and the Spirit of God the words of the Bible are just that, words.

If one truly believes the Bible is the word of God, then everytime they speak Scriptures they are speaking on God's behalf. Think about it. Are you qualified to speak on behalf of the Creator of the Universe? In either case, He chose and bequeathed us with that responsibility as His followers, most of whom have taken that task far too lightly throughout history to the present.

If you do choose to speak on behalf of anyone, you better make sure you have a clear understanding of who that person is? What his perspectives are? How he feels about whatever you are addressing?

Too long has the words of God been spoken from the heart of a man, a combination that has caused massive destruction throughout the world. Those who so easily and often times wrecklessly throw around what they believe to be the voice of God should let the responsibility of such weigh on them deeply.

Be reminded that those given the responsibility of being God's avatars to this world are held in stricter judgement. The followers of God are all too eager to throw around proclamations of judgement upon the "wicked heathen." Remember it was the heel of the pagan, idol-worshipping Babylonians and Romans that crushed and anhilated the one nation on the earth that actually believed in God. Why? Because the began to grossly misrepresent his heart and truth to mankind placing burdens on them rather than giving them freedom as God wanted.

Do not be surprised when the boot of an athiest soldier crushes the last brick of every church in this country. When those given the charge to be God's representatives on earth begin to embody the opposite of who He is, there will only be one outcome. God does judge the wicked, but He always starts in His own backyard lest those who enjoy the blessings of being God's ambassadors on the earth forget the great burdens that also come with being so.

the one thing that it says, as someone put it once was that it was a scenario of pure unconditional love of God through His Son Jesus, of which I agree-there is no doubt about the condition I was in and facing whatsoever nor was I brought up religious or churched (there is an interesting scripture about having at least one believing parent though), matter of fact within days I had walked down to the local and I think those guys thought I was crazy or they were just out of water, now this should have been a very frustrating thing except I had the scriptures (Authority of Jesus words and the Apostles his friends)-

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness-2Timothy

rightly dividing the word of truth.

the words of my testimony and the angel are true exactly as I say it happened, other than that what are you suggesting- don't paste scriptures publically in a public debate of the scriptures?

to add I think knowledge is the key and with holding information is not loving in my opinion especially in light of the current circumstances- Son/truth sets free right?

my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.-Hosea

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.-Habbakuk

No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.-Hebrews

do not need anyone to teach you.-1John

think those @2000 year old now translated words are yours or mine?
