Why exactly do you think Jesus came or what the New Covenant means, is about and for?
Jesus speaking in John5.45-
But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread
from heaven.
Galatians3.17-
The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise.
1Corinthians15.45-
So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being" ; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.
Galatinas5.4-
You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
2Corinthians-
Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the
face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
Galatians3.19-
What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions UNTIL(how long ago was that?) the Seed to whom the promise referred had
come. The law was put into effect through angels
Hebrews-
to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son
which of the angels did God ever say, "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet" ?
But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on
better promises.
By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.
Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent
priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
Romans-
However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.
Philipians-
be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that
comes from God and is by faith.
Galatians-
The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them."
Hebrews-
And without faith it is impossible to please God
