You do realise just how illogical your actions are??

If, what you claim about Islam and Muslims is true, YOU are actually funding terror... Every year you go and buy a book that puts money back into the hands of those you condemn

Perfect example of how hatred can prevent sensible logical thinking!

What are you achieving apart from some warped self gratification?

Hmmm... some confirmation would be good... is this thread a hoax or joke??

I have decided after reading this thread that I am going to take my own advice. I've set a reminder for myself, and on 9-11 I will read the Koran and, as it will be a Saturday this year, spend the day in meditative thought, assuming I am not on-assignment I'll have the day off to do it.

I have also decided that I will in fact follow one of the pillars of Sunni Islam this year, Zakat, and donate 2.5% of my income to help the less fortunate Muslims in the world by finding a reputable Islamic charity, probably the International Red Crescent, who is currently helping land mine victims in Afghanistan. However I am going to look into that more fully in order to make sure that my contribution goes to only peaceful purposes. In my own way I think that this is a bit of penance of sorts for still harboring seeds of resentment and anger over the attacks done by the terrorists for their false jihad.

I will think of you on that day OP, and though it's not in my religion to pray, I will hope for you that you find some peace or understanding. I want to thank you as well, for making me think about such things and re-commit myself to my own path of love.

You can burn the book all you want. You can hate on any group you care too. You can spout any ill-born story you read on the all knowing internet until your veins pop out of your head.

I work with several Muslims everyday. We talk shop and we joke around. We complain about the same things and we shop in the same stores. They are no more different in their humanity than I am.
I should also say that they are devout Muslims. They follow all of the family and religious traditions. They are not hateful and they are not zealots. They mourned 9/11 and have their own doubts about its truths, no different than you and I.
I guess I should say I also work with Christians, Jews, Athiests, Agnostics...all under the same roof, all doing the same thing, which is working at a career to keep the lights and water on and food on their tables.

So, when there is an attack attributed to Muslim extremists, you can see the despair in their face. The Muslim followers that I know do not like these radical groups anymore than anyone else.

So, take your hate for a religion at large, ball it up and push vertically upward until no light shines on it ever again.

Your original post made me sick. Acting in that way is exactly the thing you are condemning. Who are you to offer protection like some sort of god? Your one person in the world and you speak down to an entire region like your some sort of ambassador. Telling them you know how they have been taught differently like their wrong and your right.

Of course I don't condone any act of terrorism but I also don't try to condescend people who are Muslim. I happen to know a few and they are peaceful, happy people who are as outraged at acts of terror in their name as much as you. Your attitude is exactly why the Americans get so much flak. People like you promote the stereotype that Americans are all the same, trying to police the world and force their opinion on others with violence. Sound familiar?

Look at what YOU are doing first, do some research, talk to Muslims and you will realise your are fool.

1. Absent of any real proof.

2. People who hate their current, or former Government more than the actual enemy.

3. People who don’t understand the idea of Sharia Law, and just how barbaric and out-dated “by thousands of years” This religion and it’s ideology actually are.

4. Defiant of the fact that these people exist in the millions, and would not only love to kill every one of us, but rule the majority afterwards, under the most insane violent religion that has ever existed.

Please, please, please - add me to the long list of people who:

1. don't believe you when you say you've looked at ALL the intelligence!

2. know that any research you did was with a CLOSED-MIND.

3. are completely ignoring the history of the jewish and christian religions and all of the atrocities committed by them over the last 10,000 years (-sarcasm on - since the earth was created by God - sarcasm off -
)

4. are hopelessly lost in the government's propaganda (C'mon and admit that you think George W is the savior of the free world!)

I won't waste any time suggesting that you get back to your research until you actually have seen all the intelligence!

Damn you people are fun to play with. I knew this post would drag out the people who:

1.Had no sense of reality and needed 9/11, as a conspiracy to exist.

2. Did not care about the thousands who died, and were willing to show their colors in each and every negative response.

3. Tied so hard into "alternative theory" you have happily joined the ranks of "main stream". Congratualations!

4. You are all, true free-minded conspiracy theorists who take every contingent into issue! Yeah right, you are the ex, cool guy, who is willing to side with everything esle that is "cool" regardless of the truth, or other people's pain. Good for you. You have suceeded. You're finally popular!

what has any of this got to do with the fact that you think burning a book will do anything? your trying to derail your own thread?????

Smart move there sparky. if i had to guess i would assume this was some troll who was bored and knew he would get this very result and as such concocted this ridiculous post. im betting he wouldnt set fire to a roll of toilet paper let alone a book in public. this is just a scam to gather ats points. and with that i bid this post farewell.

Terrorists for the same lost cause hit my city too, the London Subway Bombings weren't as big but they were a lot closer to home for me despite the fact that I was in the United States when they happened.

I'll admit I'm not there yet, I still get angry, so I know I still have far to go. I won't let them win though, I won't let hatred rule my heart. It is not a thing out of spite either, because that would be counterproductive, but because I know it to be the right thing to do.

Is this another windup or are you actually still under the illusion that Islamic terrorists had anything to do with 9/11? I won't profess to know everything there is to know about 9/11 but I know enough concrete (no pun intended) evidence to be convinced that it was an inside "false flag" job. I would invite you to explore the wonders of the many 9/11 conspiracy sites with an open mind but at the same time take a look at the events leading up to it by reading Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine.

7/7 is not so obviously a "false flag" attack but once you start looking at it with "false flag" glasses, you'll see that it too doesn't add up to an Islamic Fundamentalist attack. It bears many of the same hallmarks as 9/11 i.e. military precision attack, government unwilling to conduct proper investigation, immediate blame on Islamic Fundamentalist, coincidental operational exercise and subsequent loss of civil liberties. For an overview of the issues surrounding the 7/7 bombings, visit:
7/7 Bombings Final Word: Her Majesty's Terrorist Network

Happy hunting and spread the word.

Corage is yet to come. Courage is making sure to remember. Courage is not backing down, and making sure that people never let this happen again. Courage will come in 5- 10 years when most people have forgotten how horrible this event was. Although I fear that may already be the case for the majority. DON'T EVER FORGET.

To be honest, I didn't read your OP entirely, because I didn't want to get lost in there... but courage, as you claim here, is meaningless?!

Why?

Because what is the point of burning a book? I can sit here and burn a hundred Qur'ans or Bibles, or burmese books of spirituality, but it only means something if *I* personally have a reason to care for these books.

If you are doing it in public (And as I say, I didn't read it all, if you mentioned this, then please ignore my post) and in view of people who hold the book in high regard, then for you to do it in the terms you claim, may be considered courage, or alternatively considered insanity.

Either way, I don't think it's the best way to make a point. But we all have differences to that end..

Cheers!

Your attitude sucks dreamwalker, and you are on track to be a loser for the rest of your life. No joke. You complained about the modern American salary being insufficient for an actual life. I agreed and offered to make it one of my personal objectives to save you a bunch of money. You rejected my offer, and I figure now that it is because you just are not serious. You actually want to be miserable and bitter for the rest of your life.

I can't imagine why you call yourself dreamwalker when you're only dreams seem to be of burning books and living in misery. I thought you were better than that. Good luck.

Sometimes fighting fire with fire, is the only way to prevent it spreading.

Burn off the debris before it engulfs everything around you.
