I can't really say for sure, but according to this article, the Qur'an does not mention stoning. The practice, it seems, comes from the Hadith, which is a kind of body of traditional texts considered secondary to the Qur'an. Like the way the Catholic and Othodox Christian churches have sacred writings of saints and holy men that are valued but considered secondary to the Bible.

Now, now, kind sir, deliberate trolling is contrary to the spirit, if not the letter, of ATS.
