I promise Every year, until I die, to burn the Qur'an on the anniversary of 9/11/2001. Unlike many of you I have looked at all the intelligence. All the posts on 9/11, all the conspiracies, and have determined , all of them to be:

1. Absent of any real proof.

2. People who hate their current, or former Government more than the actual enemy.

3. People who don’t understand the idea of Sharia Law, and just how barbaric and out-dated “by thousands of years” This religion and it’s ideology actually are.

4. Defiant of the fact that these people exist in the millions, and would not only love to kill every one of us, but rule the majority afterwards, under the most insane violent religion that has ever existed.

“Wait, you can not condemn the entire religion because of a few radicals!”

You are right, The outpouring of Muslim support for the United States after the fact was unimaginable”. Oh yeah, wait, that didn’t actually happen. There were no large groups of Muslim’s who came out in defiance of this action after the fact.

“We come to America and love America”

Yet not willing to stand up against the radicals in your religion, not because you believe, but out of fear.

I can understand that fear! When Muslim radical’s are willing to kill cartoon artists in Europe, and even threaten “South Park” here, I understand your fear.

I will say right here and now that any Muslim, who is willing to condemn the vicious, violent portion of the Qur'an and treat it as the faith of peace, that they claim, I will personally attempt to defend you against your radical, hateful, violent brethren who will attempt to kill you in any way they can after the fact.

I know you are afraid. If you stay in a Western Country, adopt our freedoms, and condemn the violent in your religion, you will be protected. I know you were taught differently, but peace loving, freedom loving people, will come to your aid if you denounce the violence.

Those here, that continue to blame our own government, versus the radical militant religion that perpetrated this act: Are not only bored, Misinformed, Hateful of America, and western society, but also missing the point that if they lived in a country with Sharia law, would not be able to even post. Internet, TV, Women’s rights, all would cease to exist.

We have gotten to a point in society, where yes we mistrust our own leaders. Though jumping on the Sharia bandwagon is not only crazy, it is suicidal.

So, under my own beliefs: For all those who burned to death. All those who suffocated. All those who were crushed, and all those who flung themselves out of the towers to avoid a worse death. For all the first responders: For the firemen who ran into a death-trap. For the Police who were crushed by falling debris. For the councilors’ of the hundreds of thousands who lost love ones. For the brave ones on flight 93. For every person who wept on 9/11, and will never be the same. And for those that watched the over all Muslim response, world wide. I promise to burn the Qur'an, every year on 9/11 as long as I live.

Corage is yet to come. Courage is making sure to remember. Courage is not backing down, and making sure that people never let this happen again. Courage will come in 5- 10 years when most people have forgotten how horrible this event was. Although I fear that may already be the case for the majority. DON'T EVER FORGET.

I will answer to the three major portions that concern me.

1. Yes they did denounce what terrorists did and still do.www.abovetopsecret.com...

2. See number one.

3. You haven't heard about the south park thing have you.

www.newworldorderreport.com...

Whatever you do to the Qur'an is really your problem you aren't Muslim so I don't care.

But you do seem to be highly misinformed.

Edit to add:

I wouldn't call what you are doing "Courage".

Come on ignorance is frowned upon here people.

So....basically you plan to buy a new qur'an every year(which will support more of them being printed), just to burn it, an action no one will likely notice occurring? What will this actually accomplish, aside from a demonstration of your own violence and the waste of all the trees killed for that book? Also, to state it again, you will be supporting that which you claim to hate. It sounds like angry self gratification in that NOTHING is actually accomplished.

It isn't a protest or even a boycott!
Just a pointless action.

The world is a bad place not because of evil, but because of people seeing bad, and doing nothing.

You, are seeing bad, then hating all on it.

See bad, do good. Fight fire with water, contrary to popular belief.

No, apparently your appathy is what the world needs more of. Don't worry they are definitely on track. Easy to forget this one right? I never will. I have done the research on Sharia Law and where these people actually come from, and what they actually believe. I dare say that if you had any friend or relative, who was a victim in this attack you would be far less flippant. Keep in mind: When you deny this or forget this, you are pissing on the graves of thousands. Has it really been long enough? Will it ever be long enough for you to treat this attack with the sense of "boredom" you represent? Thousands of Americans dead, less than a decade ago. Who cares? Yeah, you're cool.

This thread will have a high-double-digit or triple-digit post count for sure by the time it finishes up. Even if the title and OP aren't delibrately calculated to inflame opinions, they certainly will. "US political madness" indeed.

And the funny/sad thing is that I predict after all the dust settles, nobody will have changed anyone's mind on either side of the fence and no new ground will have been broken.

Personally, I hope to be able to roast a nice big rack of BBQ ribs on the 4th of July every year as long as I live, klck back with the family, and re-read the Bill of Rights. Which guarantees free speech and the right to read (or burn) anything people want. And to argue endlessly on ATS, too.

So, have at it, folks.

I'm sorry. "publically burn" is what I should have said. And I hold by my ideals, and will continue to. Do you have any? Really? I knew I was going to be torn apart writing this, yet still stand by it. I know "weird by modern day standards". Still do not condemn me on enviromentalist issues. Go after the original point. Either you believe "Muslim radicalls were not behind this attack." Or, you simply no longer care regardless of the pain and grief. I'm willing to bet number 2.

So thousands die in the Us.... But thousands are still DYING in the so-called war that was initiated after the event... What about the civilians, the women, the elderly, the children? None of them have to do with that mess but it's okay for them to be slaughtered daily? It's not in your yard so it doesn't matter somehow?

Why can't humans just see other humans rather than differences?

His sad demonstration will serve nothing. The fact that you had to come on here and publicly state that this is what you plan on doing speaks volumes. You sound like someone who hasn't really put much though into this action. The stupidity of your actions is so massive I can't even verbalize them. Why don't you go burn some bibles for all the people killed during the crusades. Or the people and heretics killed during the Salem witch hunts. Your ignorance is like a virus spreading through the world even here on ats. A virus that infects the heart with venom and hate. I feel sorry for you more than anything. Burning books..........unbelievable.

Get help. Seriously.

Well, I don't expect much more from someone who believes 3 builds will collapse in their own footprint when only two were hit ON THE TOP with TWO planes.

Ignorance is bliss...

Good luck supporting the Quran publishers by purchasing their books before you burn them, if you had some real balls you would fly over to the middle east and burn them in public protest in Saudi Arabia. You're protesting to the wrong folks here.

I don't care how many reply, as long as some take the time to think. Wow we really have forgotten at this point. I know that their is a large group here that never likes to hear anything negative against a portion of the population ever. Yet if it is true, what then? If the Nazis had been around during the time of the internet, would it be an ATS member to point out the danger? People are so quick to condemn verses research. It scares me.

I'll say it again, your blind hate and ignorance is what is perpetuating the state where thousands of millions die. Don't you see that it is not some book you are burning, but yourself and those around you?

I served with a few Muslims in the USAF and two of them were first generation Iranians. They were very trustworthy, great friends, and best of all they really contributed to America.

Generalizing an entire people hurts your credibility. How many Muslims have you talked to about the war? I'm assuming none, because I have yet to talk to one that is for a Jihad against the US, even if they don't support the war.

Do not dishonor the US with your ignorant rants of hate and that is coming from a veteran of the war that 9/11 started.
Edit: took out repetative statment.

Damn you people are fun to play with. I knew this post would drag out the people who:

1.Had no sense of reality and needed 9/11, as a conspiracy to exist.

2. Did not care about the thousands who died, and were willing to show their colors in each and every negative response.

3. Tied so hard into "alternative theory" you have happily joined the ranks of "main stream". Congratualations!

4. You are all, true free-minded conspiracy theorists who take every contingent into issue! Yeah right, you are the ex, cool guy, who is willing to side with everything esle that is "cool" regardless of the truth, or other people's pain. Good for you. You have suceeded. You're finally popular!

If I may be so bold as to offer an alternative:

I should preface this by saying that I am a practicing Zen Buddhist, not any of the Western faiths, but I own a copy of the Koran, in English, not Arabic because I wanted to be able to read it. And I have read it. It sits now on a shelf in my living room, next to my copy of the King James Bible, next to that is my Catholic Bible, and next to that is my Torah. I have read all of them, as well as a great many other religious texts over the years.

My suggestion however is instead of burning the Koran every September 11th, that you read it, once a year, every year, and understand how the people whom murdered thousands on that day never lived up to the words of the Prophet Mohamed. How according to their own faith, they went to hell that day, the name of Allah turning to molten brass upon their tongues as they arrived.

Make yourself more informed, learn and love, for that is what all of those horrible killers, whom were worse than infidels for perverting the revelations of their god, would never want you to be.

If you do truly believe that no good came after that day from the Islamic world, then enrich your own live with the wisdom that is in it. Find love, not hate.

The terrorists want you to hate them, they feed upon it because it justifies their own hatred of you. Instead love them, as human beings, as brothers. You can win the greater jihad that they never even understood because they were so blinded by a false lesser one. If you can learn to do that in your time on this earth, then and only then, you truly will have beaten them.
