I posted this already, but I don't think anyone saw it.....on BPs site, they have a statement up that says they have cut back on the cams because there is NO NEED for them anymore! If you go to thier site, and click on the cam page, it's right at the top. I expect any day for them all to be gone. Myself and others are bombarding Senators and anyone else we can think of to report this.....BP is supposed to (by order of the government) KEEP THOSE CAMS ON.....until ALL operations are complete. They think they are above the law!

Just sickening....did you hear about the hundreds of dead fish they found lying on the BOTTOM of the sea floor? Dead fish usually FLOAT! I guess the Corexit sunk them too? There is a photo of them just lying at the bottom...I think I posted it a couple of pages back.

I just wanted to drop me and say hi, and also to give you my thanks. You have been all over this issue, and have been watching this thread since the start. The summer is hard for me, as I am an avid Hurricane watcher, besides being very passionate about volcanoes, earthquakes, and solar activity, so I am sorry that I have not been around here at all. So many threads, so little time, lol.

Thank you for keeping up on everything and good luck with everything in your area. Even though I was only stationed at Polk for about a year, I fell deeply in love with LA. Stay safe, and again, your rock lady!

BP doesn't think they are above the law. They know they are above the law. Look at their entire history through out this siege. How long did it take them to make the feeds available to begin with? Our EPA tells them to stop spraying carcinogenics ...they said no. BP has controlled the coast, denied access to the area, forced people to be silent about the work they were hired to do on threat of being fired. The first amendment took a hell of a hit over this. Our Coast Guard, Nat'l Guard, local police depts....all working on the behalf of BP not us. Some of those folks aren't happy about it, but they are doing it anyway. The entire nation has been held hostage while those who live & work in the area are losing everything they've got. BP execs have received little more then a slap on the wrist for all the destruction their greed and neglegence has caused. That $20 billon BP had to put up for "legitimate" claims is only a drop in a very big bucket. And who gets to determine if a claim is legit or not? BP.

Now we are supposed to have an independent party, the same person given the task of getting some of the bail out bucks back. Instead he decided the shame of it was punishment enough...Ken Stein? ( I kept the newspaper article with the guys name & comment for a long time meaning to post it here. Now I can't locate it. Hopefully someone here will have a better memory then mine.) BP has no more shame then the big banks who paid huge benefits to execs after taking our money.

BP will find a way to get that $20b back & will continue to screw everyone in their way.

I just heard on TV that the drill have reached the well and they are about to inject the cement, if they haven't started already....this is something to keep an eye on. I have to leave for work soon, so I hope someone here will be able to monitor it and maybe grab some pics if anything should develop.....Ektar is usually great at getting pics for us.I'll try to check from time to time at work if I'm able to.

Well, when that happens, there is still PLENTY of evidence to get everyone involved. The feeds have been useful, to be sure. But much of the crime and evidence is what they did leading UP to the event on 4-20.

BP's documented knowledge of problems with the well.

Halliburton's possible responsibility, and the members of the former MMS responsibility in allowing these sorts of things to go un-noticed or ignored.

the main problem will be getting a Congressional hearing to mean anything if much culpability goes back to members of Congress.


Congressional hearings will be impotent if you dont go out and get your neighbors and family riled up about this. If this gets swept under the rug, we are all at least partly to blame.

The relief well is connected, next step is cement....probably by Sunday (I predict the feeds will be cut off as soon as they finish, and they will declare everything is over) It's not over by a long shot! We have had oil washing up on louisiana's coast within the last few days! I wrote my senators and congressmen, and so have many people on reality check to stay on this and keep info available to the public....because if not, BP will just move on, and leave us to deal with it.

I urge everyone to stay on this, and don't let it fade away....Write letters to goverment officials and tell them you want those responsible prosecuted, you want information, and you want live feeds until this is really finished. If you see oil anywhere, document it, make copies, and send it to yout congressmen and senators. We cannot let them skate on this!

I got some shots of the well.....I watched the holes in the seabed you see in front of it get larger....and more cracks are forming since yesterday. There is something leaking from 3 different spots....and every once in a while, there is a little burst of what looks like oil from the crevice that opened up. They should be pumping in the cement soon.

I posted 2 shots of the same thing so you can see how the crack is getting longer....look at the pic above, then this one....it got slightly bigger just in the time it took me to take them.....the crevice in the seafloor in front of it happened a few days ago. I think I posted about it, but myself and a few others were on Reality Check watching the cams when there was an eruption of some kind, and when the debris cleared, there was a hole there....and then it just started to open up and started spreading to create the crevice you see now. They could be pumping cement in there now, and perhaps the pressure is doing this, I don't know.....but this happened a few days ago and they SAY they just now connected the relief well to it sooooo.....they don't seem to be giving info on what they are doing now....just AFTER the fact, so no one can be sure what's going on.

At the same time www.marinetraffic.com does not show any ships in the Deepwater vicinity or surrounding areas. Is marine traffic blacked out as well? If so then why? If John Wright ( lead the team on drilling relief well) can light up his cigar in victory then why not show the successful results? At the present time we have not been shown the intercept. We are being told a bigger lie than before. I don't buy any of this relief well crap until I can see it with my own eyes.

Subsea operational update:

The MC252 well has been shut-in since July 15; there is no oil flowing into the Gulf. .......LMAO!!!!

The MC252 annulus was intercepted by the DDIII relief well. Total measured depth on the DDIII for the annulus intercept point is 17,977 feet.

Annulus cementing will proceed Friday as planned. It is expected that the MC252 well will be completely sealed on Saturday.

REALLY! They are showing 2 feeds only on BP's site....just found out they are doing the cement right now and "the well will be completely dead by tomorrow afternoon" I really think they will stop all feeds at that time or very shortly afterword.....I am so pissed off about it! I didn't know that about the ships! You mean the ships with the ROVs aren't there? Could you post a link to the site you saw it on? That is very strange....what reason could they have for that unless they think there is the potential for it to blow?

Yeah I hear them knocking but they can't come in. Not one feed or still picture of the relief well. Mr. Allen show proof of this "success". Am I asking to much? Does the American citizen not have a right to see something that drastically affects our future?

(Sorry to get a bit off topic, but i feel this fits into the issue of the feeds)

ABSOLUTELY. But also, we don't need any of that to get them for their obvious neglect in the issues leading UP to the explosion.

As far as that case goes, it doesn't matter if they destroyed the evidence and lied about what was going on with the ROV ops. So even if the cameras go down, we should still have more than enough to clean house. IF (which i doubt entirely) the American Public demands it.
