The BOP is the size of a house. It isn't like someone can just walk up and take it. Although you are right about chain of custody. We don't want anyone messing around with that. We also have no quarantees about what will happen in the hands of the 'authorities'. It's also not like they've done a bang up good job either.

I think Transocean got a judgement on the top $$ amt they can be held accountable for in regard to this disaster. That was one of the under-the-table decisions that got made while we were all watching the ROVs.

Aggravated again. Apparently we are not allowed to see the new BOP or the BOP being put on or whatever. This really just ticks me off like you have no idea.

Here are a few photos I grabbed last night between 9:20pm - 10:40pm EST... As you can see, still major blowing every where...

Q4000 Above was blowing...then a pop up look around
to the right to see equipment on the floor, too fast to
see anything, & they went to pixels!! So bloody annoying!

LOL this is why no ROV feeds: BP twitter status. They are too busy giving interviews and such. They have the audacity to post a tweet like that, and not even have half the feeds running.

I guarantee you that there will be much money being passed under the table. Bribes, payoffs etc......the "authorities" can be bought....and BP has the $$$$$

I think the feeds will be completely gone any day now. The fact that they never showed the new BOP says they consider this over. They are no longer obligated by the order to make it available to the public, since "no oil is flowing into the gulf"....and the new BOP is in. They can't wait to get people's eyes off them.

Already been done. If they were at all concerned with the BOP being evidence, it would have been treated as such, with the authorities there the second it was taken out of the water, and literally bagged the thing. I have so far seen at least 1 BP worker climbing all over that thing. In the court of law, that piece of evidence has already been contaminated.

I took some shots of Super HOS H ROV2 of the part of the well they're showing to see if I can find anything suspicious...LOL!
The only thing they seem to show are good ROV shots of them picking up the equipment off the floor.

I think it's leaking pretty bad & they don't want anyone to see it & maybe they are going to reveal the cap once the cement has been placed in the relief well.

You're right dood. There weren't enough eyes on this mess by TPTB.

I should have said 'we...here @ATS'. If not for this forum most of us wouldn't have access to the info & the whole thing would have faded away long ago. I've seen a lot of solid work here & I do want to thank you who have helped me understand.

Think you may be right Kat, the feeds are dying a slow death.

Then we'll need a new 'up-to-date post-feeds' thread

Ektar: thanks for the screen shots. Yes, that looks like hive to me. What else COULD it be.

Kat: thanks for that link. I did see part of that hearing. And I found the 60 minutes interview on youtube. It's with Mike Williams, chief electrical technician. 5 parts. I searched youtube under "Mike Williams on 60 minutes" and it came up.

As to TO settlement: thanks for those links; I'll read them.

I'ts not a time to let go of vigilance; perhaps a critical time to step it up in any manner we can. It scares me to think they may turn off the rovs.
