Totally agree!!!

I find very arrogant for trhose who say life is only here, only Earth can sustain intelligent life and any alien race out there needs to travel here to prove themselves....

ARROGANT!!

I still don't get you at all. And don't quote the odds because they don't mean anything accept adding to the point of our amazing existance. Be proud of yourself you are one of around 7000000000 humans in a universe of maybe the same amount of planets.

[edit on 18-6-2010 by hornum]

I've already told you the maths so why this misinformed speculation?

You're right that was a mix up, I meant galaxy. And they are only estimates anyway.

[edit on 18-6-2010 by hornum]

There are an estimated 10,000,000 habitable planets in our galaxy as we know them, however there are far more than 7,000,000,000 planets in our galaxy in total. The figure of 10,000,000 is based on life evolving as we know it, if there is but 1 other mechanism of evolution in the galaxy besides the model we use then the number jumps from 10,000,000 to staggeringly more.

Food for thought.

thank you but it does not change my opinion.

Bang on OP!!!
some people will tell you it is statistically impossible for there not to be aliens out there...hmmmm..how many billions of billions of variables does it take for the right conditions to actually produce life?? And then for that life to survive and evolve to a stage where it can fly around the universe no bother?
The answer is probably close to the amount of planets out there that could possibly harbour life. possibly, with the right conditions of course.

Unfortunately this debate will go round and round until these aliens actually arrive en masse so there is no denying them. If they do I'll be a happy chappy because I will either learn something profound or I will be zapped and I've always been into learning and being zapped doesn't sound like a bad way to go!!

The real problen with the E.T. debate is the people who deliberately hoax and the ones who berate everyone who do not agree with them, be it for or against.

It's easy to distract the distracted

Seriously ?

LOL, I dont think that would do much good, rather, you proov God, then I give you lightbolbs and planes..

You totally missing the point, Lightblobs thousands of years ago ..duh !
Yet we are fooled into believing they are Just invented.

sorry i thought you were misspelling light bulbs. actually lights can occur in the sky naturally, look it up. I believe its associated with seismic activity.

There are models of planes that old , you know that, you also know there are fully operational models of those planes, and the 'nah, there are Faces on them, so it is 'just Demons with capability of flight'..

Hate to tell you, they may look like planes and helicopters but they are not.

The simplest explanation : They were Planes..... we have faces on planes too, teeth etc....No big secret, really, but God now ? where is the slightest eveidence of that except the Bible and the billion of people using his name ?

I'm not getting into a debate about God. As i said create a thread on God not existing and i will shed some light there when I have the time.

I wasn't attempting to sway your opinion, I was merely demonstrating your lack of understanding regarding the scale of the universe. Job Done I'd say.

Remain Vigilant.

The universe is massive I know. You can keep throwing up estimated numbers, it wont change a thing. Final time: We are the only intelligent life in your Sextillions estimates.

Oh and i will remain vigilant.

Hey good poem by the way, I liked it.

Oh, sorry, I was in a rush to write that because I had to do something, I obviously meant: "...I think it's easier to simply conclude some are man made and some are extraterrestrial in origin..."

Full disclosure is coming, I know that. But they are not aliens from another world. They are from Here and they are designed/engineered by human men and woman.

Really?? Are you being serious?

I cannot explain how massively ignorant you have come across!
Surely if "Statistically" its is possible to be no other life in the universe then "Statistically" it is possible that there is other life in the universe.

You can't just deny something you know next to nothing about.
Do your research and then you will change your mind!

In the mean time please do us all a favour and think before you post complete bull#.

Thanks

I accept the statistics. But I believe there is no intelligent life anywhere else in our universe. Whats so hard to believe about that? And how do you know I haven't done any research, are you kidding me! Read the full thread and knock off the language!

There are things I know that would blow your little head wide open! You will find out in time.

This is not a theory that you have construed and only an opinion...

Frankly it is the size of the universe that confounds us,baffles us and our knowledge of the cosmos is very limited. It would thus be wise to keep an open mind and not discount any possibility.

For any theory to be tenable it must consider all alternatives. This is where your proposition that aliens do not exist is flawed. You claim that the so called TPB have an advanced higher knowledge that is known only to an esoteric few in their inner circle..yet you fail to explain that where all this knowledge could come from..would the government tell you that there is an higher intelligence out there?...I don't think so or people would lose their sense of being sanguine. It would be best perhaps to lead them to believe that we live on placid plain of existence(sorry could help that!)

Also if we consider the origin of species...there are alternative theories. The most accepted theory is of the primordial soup. However there is another theory which states that life originated due to a meteor that crashed which contained some form of bacteria. So it is entirely possible that aliens must be closer home than we could imagine and only need to look in the mirror.

right now its too early to say that aliens don't exist. Not even a century has passed that we have traveled to the moon and mars the closest planet to us is still being explored...conceding that there is no life out there would be foolish.

Read the thread!I have listed answers to this. I believe and I know for a fact aliens from outerspace do not exist and can't disclose at this point how. i am however writing something currently, it's taking a while as you can imagine. All will be revealed to you within a couple of years. All you have to get your opinions is whats known to the mainstream. I however have had access to people directly involved in the deception.

Let us also consider things being relative for the sake of argument...

If there was another alternative universe out there full of #, with a sun made of **** and planets made of ****, then **** life would think that its the most awesome smelling, intelligent form in existence and there would be nothing to show that its wrong:

I undestand your point. And it's a possibility (To most) however I know this isnt the case although you are kind of on track.
