If the Karma Police are going to get involved their are going to be a whole lot of people in these Israel threads having some issues.

This is dissappointing, i had hopes of at least the ship grounding in gaza perhaps, to ENSURE delivery.

If this is how it's being played, perhaps all for the best. But remember, the majority of that delivery will NOT make it to Gaza. Therein lies the tragedy of today.

I do find it curious though, that they go all that way and give up. It's noble yes, but wasteful too. Could the ship owners sue Isreal for losses in the Hague? Or perhaps accuse of kidnapping? It's one thing to shout about it, even in the UN, but this is also a legal issue, and some courts have international jurisdiction.

Ask the passengers of the 5 other ships in the original 'Freedom Flotilla' why did the IDF not murder them?

Ask the passengers onboard the 'Rachel Corrie' how come the IDF boarded their vessel and did not murder them even though there was no 'independant' live footage of the event this time?

Ask yourself if it true that you feel paralysed by political correctness to not say anything that could be misconstrued as criticism of muslims/arabs in general?

Ask yourself if you do not feel able to celebrate your nationality in your country anymore for fear of being accused of inciting racial hatred?

Ask yourself if it was no accident that your voice got louder in the criticism of Israel in the past decade and got toned down to 'mute' on fundementalist Islamic crimes of which dwarf the alleged Israeli 'murders'.

Ask yourself why a decade ago you were appauled at the terrorist suicide bombers but now are maybe 'understanding their side more' and maybe think of them now as freedom fighters with the courage to stand up for their beliefs?

Ask yourself WTF happened between then and now?

You make a ton of sense and you use facts to back up your assertions.

The problem here is that you can not reason with people who are intellectually lazy and closed minded. By my own admission I am by no means a smart or learned man.

What I do to make up for this is try to think through using logic and facts to come to my own conclusion as to what happened. I try not to let my emotions clowd any of my thought processes. That way I can come to a rational conclusion of my own. Even then, I am still able to change my mind when new facts emerge.

As far as this topic is concerned, there has been NO CREDIBLE evidence to make me change my mind that Isreal AND Egypt acted legally in enforcing this blockade. Period.

Not that I have to tell you but... It is far easier to hate. The emotion is raw and can be addicting. It is the ignorant man's mental high. As witnessed on these threads.

Yes in theory this might actually be true, too bad we dont live in theory or Rachel Corrie would still be alive as her ghandi style tactics would have worked. Obviously when dealing with israel you are not jusr dealing with a said democracy but a democracy run by the military complex. Just look into their political history, the military complex controls every aspect of their society. And logic, theory and reasoning doesnt get you very far with the military complex.
