Can you post a link to this story of him being detained? It is going to be very interesting seeing a little brat kid thrown into a south american prison with hardened rapists, murderers etc etc. His karma is about to catch up with him...dont drop the soap idiot!

The suspect, Joran van der Sloot, was escorted by three police officers as he was taken from a dark vehicle into a police office in downtown Santiago, Chile. He made no comment as he entered, walking calmly and without handcuffs as journalists shouted his name.

Recently one of my buddies was arrested due to an unpaid parking ticket and they cuffed him !!!!

Van der Sloot was detained while traveling in a taxi, about halfway to the coast on Route 68, said Prefect Alfredo Espinosa, chief national spokesman for Chile's investigative police. The suspect did not resist and has been calm in detention, Espinosa said.

Calm for now but it would be really nice to see the fear in his eyes if he's convicted

Her neck was broken, and she was fully clothed, with no signs of having been sexually abused, Guardia told The Associated Press.

I feel bad at getting mad but this guy was the worst!!

Whatever it was that got Van Der Slut out of being convicted in Aruba, it sure was unlucky for this young Peruvian woman.

Her blood is on the hands of the Arubian criminal system, because Van Der Slut should have been in jail four years ago. I guess Stephanie's parents have the crooks in the judicial system over there to thank.

Since Joran's father died, there's probably a lot of money to go around after the 'ole life insurance check was cashed. I bet he was insured for at least a million. I wonder if Joran's Mommy is going to fork over the cash for the fancy New York lawyer?

There is no jury system in Peru. You meet three hooded judges in a courtroom, your attorney defends you, then your life is in their hands.

Joran will be tried in Peru, but if the Arubian authorities want to re-open and try Natalie's case in Aruba, they can have him extradited. If convicted there, I'm not sure which place he would serve time. I would think Peru because he was tried and convicted there first.

Natalee&peru girl both picked up in casino. Natalee&peru girl both got killed in hotel room. Joran was nervous because Natalee got dumped, Peru girl couldn't for some ape rent reason. then he fled across the border by taxi. The statement of Joran's nervousness comes from the taxi drivers

So, here's a scenario to think about:

We know Joran was involved somehow with sex trafficking, although never arrested or convicted for it. What if he was really trying to kidnap this Stephanie?

Maybe he's always looking for an opportunity to nab a girl when he can. He needs the cash, or he has a quota. He only takes the chance when he feels it's a pretty cut and dry opportunity. The other night at the casino, he meets Stephanie at the poker table. They both like poker, stay up late to play it and he sees an opportunity to kidnap her.
Of course, he's never sure at first, because it's a moment to moment decision. Maybe they talk at the table for a while. He offers to get her a drink.

Stephanie is gay, according to her friends, something that caused problems in her family (South America being an extremely conservative, Catholic continent), so it's not like she's having dreams about Joran. It might just be someone fun to talk to at the table.

Joran sees it as an opportunity to kidnap her. He slips the rape drug into her drink...and after a few minutes, as she's beginning to feel a little fuzzy, he says he'll help her to her car, walk her to the door. (This works well in a casino, where he often targets his victims. It's either crowded or late, and people sometimes drink too much.)

Since the drugs kick in full tilt after ten to fifteen minutes, she's out of it by this time. He can pretty much get her to his hotel room without any trouble, and that's what he does.

Something happens in the room. She gains control of her faculties? She fights back, realizing what's going on?

Or...if you really want to play the conspiracy out...think about this:

After Joran gets her into his room, he calls the "powers that be," that he's got a live one for the sex ring and he's chomping his lips at the money that's going to come his way. They come and pick up this girl in the hotel room, and realize later when she regains consciousness, who she REALLY is. Her father has run for both President and Vice President of Peru and is a famous race car driver. Not only do they decide they've gotten in over their heads, but they know they are now also going to have to kill her. Too risky to let her live.

Now, Joran checked out of the hotel Monday morning, and Stephanie isn't found until Wednesday? We all know that cleaning crews clean rooms daily, espeically when someone has checked out. But the thugs who came and picked up Stephanie bring her back to the room after Joran has left---after she was murdered or before..and make it look like Joran did it. Sometime before Wed. morning, they get that girl's body back into the room.

That would explain why Stephanie (who is gay) ended up with Joran. It would explain why her body wasn't found until Wed. And...it would also explain the controversey over why Joran would kill someone in cold blood in a room that was in his name. Pretty stupid, even for him. When he checked out, he might have not had any idea this girl was going to end up back in his room in a day or two. Dead. It would also explain the rape drugs in the car.

Well, that's just something I am throwing out at you. Pretty far fetched, but you never know.

I think there is something more to this case....because as others have been saying, it just doesn't add up. Something seems a little off to me.

He claims to know how she died, he never said he killed her. Which is a huge difference to claiming he confessed to murder. Wouldn't you agree?

And there is no link between why I keep telling people he never confessed and to why he keeps changing his story. That makes no sense at all! Or do you seem to think this logic is making sense?

But nobody is trying to stick up for the guy if you're under that impression. But when it comes to facts... I don't like these to be twisted, because it makes a discussion a lot harder when people make up their own facts.

For example... why has nobody ever asked the question why he's not in the Netherlands? I can tell you there were numerous sightings of Joran in the past few years where people suddenly formed a mob outside of the building where Joran was suspected to be in hiding. So, I don't think anybody really will stick up for him.

But what is important, in any discussion, is to stick to the facts and let our personal feelings ruin a discussion.

What I want to know personally is why the US hasn't requested Vanderscum be sent to the United States to stand trial as a suspect in a US citizens death ????

I know Peru and part of Chile. Chileans are very civilized and organized. Any jail in Peru will be awsome for this guy. Let me explain it, a young white boy???....they will fight to dead for "him-her", LOL.
