The Ice-Age UFO in Estonia

I'll weigh in on this that the object may be one of those
buried old Radioisotope thermoelectric generators
from the 1970's and 80's era Soviet Union:

They were built like tanks, heavily armoured in some cases
and many times BURIED underground where the local villagers
had NO CLUE as to where or what they were. The could in some
instances look very much like UFO's because they were heavy
and solid, being made from very hard stainless steels and lead
lined radiation-containment materials.

They also contained Plutonium-238, Curium-244 or Strontium-90
which are so very, very dangerous being highly radioactive !!!

My guess that the house sits on or near an old military
airfield, an old weapons storage centre or is near an
air navigation system where a crew buried a device as
a radio beacon for the Soviet bomber fleets. Many of these
devices were just left everywhere in the wild and in some
villages where the locals had NO CLUE what they were!

They were originally to run for 10 to 20 years without servicing
BUT the fuel can still be dangerous for DECADES or even hundreds
of years and there are more than a few still out there uncharted
and utterly forgotten and EXTREMELY DANGEROUS if they are
opened up! The radiation coming from these devices (if breached)
could EASILY KILL with hours or days.

So WATCH OUT as these devices were dumped all over the
Ukraine, Estona, Latvia, Siberia, Finland, Western and South Russia,
the Russia/China border regions and the Kamchatka penninsula,
so if you see one of these call the local Nuclear regulatory
ministry and detail it's GPS location so they can map it
and clean it up!

And as an addition, I should note there were the radioisotope
generators that designed on a more public scale and the ones
that were much more secretive in nature that had more power
output and much heavier & better armoured for military use
in strategic nuclear war scenarios as radio beacons to guiding
bombers, mobiles forces and as Samson-option/Dead-Hand-Switch
radio-retransmitters for use in autonomous 2nd & 3rd wave
nuclear launch scenarios.

If scientists/government officials were already at the site,
then it is highly likely they already KNOW what it is and thus left
it to Estonia to clean up the mess because of the financial cost
and political damage it may cause to Russian/Estonian relations
if someone took too-close of a look and publically announced
a possible ex-Soviet nuclear-waste dumpsite underneath
some villager's backyard.

Can someone please answer this question I have...

Is it possible to build something, for example a building, or moving vehicle, that is radioactive on the outside, but not on the inside? Or at least it is shielded on the inside so it's safe to be within the vessel?

I'm just wondering if this could be advanced tech where the outside is radioactive, and the inside is not. It would be a great advantage I can tell you that.

Well Im Estonian. I heard this story first hand not in the news like I mentioned by my uncle and we drove by the sight. The Japanese TV had just recently been there then also.

Like mentioned it was claimed that the object sank deeper into the ground when they tried to dig it out. That is not in the article.

Why did the Russians not remove it? I would guess that if it killed the men who touched it and also sunk below ground further somehow ie almost think like liquid metal would sink farther perhaps, then it would be not possible with known means. If it was possible perhaps the cost was beyond reach OR lastly it was deemed interesting but not enough to spend the monies necessary.

with the fall of the Soviet Union things got busy. Was time to rebuild the country to a level like the rest of Europe and obtain backing from friendly states. There would have been no Estonian money to do such an undertaking if the ship was in fact at the depth it was and with the supposed deaths it caused. On top of that, it could easily be forgotten except for some fringe scientists with no budgets. I mean Estonia regained her independence and much work had to be done. This would take a back seat. Sorry for all you UFO buffs but it would just basically die down. I mean no ship flying was seen crashing , no one knew what this thing was and how it got there so it was more just the mystery , the probably UFO that caused bad things. Leave it alone and get on with life.

Yes the post that it could be some soviet Era "generator" could be plausible however remember it was found 1966 or so or was it 1969 so it would be earlier than 1970. But this is very possible. They left everything there when they left and I could imagine they would bury some radioactive nuclear powered generator or such thing. They left tanks, trucks, trains, everything behind, even a few planes with the fall, burying something during the occupation would be conceivable.

That would explain the deaths of people working on it and who handled material. That would explain the man saying you did a good thing. That would explain a lot of things. That would also explain why no soviet interest to dig it up and take it back. It would be scandal after the independence of Estonia. Russian radioactive garbage left undergound.

Where there bases in the area for aircraft, probably yes helicopter. There are 100s of tank "garages" covered by growing grass in some area around there from soviet time left behind. Military was everywhere as Estonia port city looking to West Europe.

IT would be left behind as mystery. To note many cancer cases in area also, lymph node cancer and such. Sometimes in one family. Strange. Guess if unlucky and property above garbage burial site you dont know its possible yes.

Oh my god my heart stopped when i read the title! Im from Estonia! I have been to that place. Strange energies there. Also Kaiu raba is a place not taken lightly... people have gone missing and reported strange things like military people telling then not to go further to the swamp. Here they call it the ET swamp... the port for aliens.Estonia is full of these kinds of places.Im amazed that someone would post something like that here... we are a small country!

Amazing friend. It still surprises me that in the western world we laugh at the topic of ancient astronauts, when all of this # seems to happen on a daily basis for people around the world. You might not be able to answer this, but fringe thinkers around where you live might have labeled what extraterrestrial race is operating in the swamp. Have you heard any names being thrown around? I read earlier in this thread from someone else that he possibly experienced a visitation by the "Grays".

site,i dont think 25 feet of earth would block out radiation tho
if this "craft" was giving off any harmful rays they would be
able to detect them from the surface.

its not an old nuclear battery if the measurements given are
correct,far to big for one of those they were only the size
of a small barrel.

This sounds VERY similar to the Siberian domes, that native reindeer herders have spoken about for generations. They are said to be made of an extremely hard alloy of some kind, that has a razor sharp edge, and is impossible to scratch let alone dent, if you stood there hitting it with a hammer and chisel.

They are in very remote and virtually inaccessible wilderness, and can only be found by the local tribesmen, who run their herds through areas where these things are said to be.

No one, even the tribesmen, know what they are, and how long they had been there, but they tell of thousands of years, at least.

Another connection to the Siberian domes, is that it was reported that people who sought shelter under or inside (there was a kind of hatch/port in the top), would become very ill if they spent too long near them, some had reportedly died of a strange sickness, after spending the night inside one.

Expeditions in the 70's went looking for them.

This object in Estonia, is in the right part of the world, and linked by the hardness and strange alloy, the size and shape, the illness that befalls those who get too close for too long.

Could be connected.

A few posts back it was suggested that it might be a power generator buried by the russians.

Edit to add: It struck me that the title of this thread is wrong. It's not a UFO, it's buried under ground. Also, just because it's so many feet under ground doesn't mean it got there during the last ice-age.

im thinking this is some sort of relic left over from either ww2 or the soviet era, if it was an object from et's, i somehow dont think the authorities would have left it buried for so long...
