For some reason I took that to mean that you needed Skype to listen. I bet a Brit wrote those instructions. Ring - who the heck says "ring" when they mean "call". Lol, just kidding.

To clarify...

You don't need Skype to listen to the show, but you will need it if you want to try and call in.

If you are ok with Windows Media Player (WMP) then the stream will play as soon as you load the page - there will be no stream running until just before the show tomorrow night so there is no point trying to listen now

If WMP isn't your thing, then there are icons on the page that will launch the stream in Winamp, Quicktime and Realplayer. Other types of media player such as VLC will also play the streams.

Absolutely awesome that you are going ahead with this. When Johnny and Dave mentioned the idea some time ago, I was happily on board in any capacity that they wanted to use me.

Using the web versus traditional terrestrial or satellite radio is actually a very good idea as it has a better viability for getting started and off the ground. By being able to supply real numbers of listenership and a log of shows, it makes commercial broadcasting in other mediums have a stronger chance of reality.

I will, at the very least, listen tonight and maybe try out the Skype deal.

The fact that something like this could ahead without the wider membership being informed suggests a disconnected behind who ever dreamed this up and the wider membership .

I've been a little bit unconcious overnight

I updated the test site page with some world clock info and a countdown timer - hope it helps!

The show will be available afterwards to listen to. I'm in the process of sorting out how thats going to happen and I'll post details in here when I know

I forgot to ask....Is there a limit for who can actually call into the show?

So for example on ATS we have the 20 post limit that people need to follow before making threads.

So would there be or is there already a similar system in place such as a post limit for example that people need to follow for this show as well?

Pretty hip, guys. I'll give credit to you all for pulling this one out.

I like seeing the staff/owners working towards bringing ATS to new levels.

And LIVE radio is a good new level to hit.

If I am here in my bomb shelter and not out fighting the zombie hoards for food and water, I will be here listening.

If I can give advice to you guys, it would be this-

1) Do not try to take it too seriously. Relax. You own the mic and it is your air. Nothing wrong with sounding human and personal.

2) Pace yourselves. 3 hours is no small gig to fill. Have fun with it and let it pass naturally. What may look like "forever to fill" at times, will instantly turn into "not enough time in the world" at another time.

3) Remember your audience adores you. Hell, that is more then half the battle in your favor already.

4) Make sure to have proper air-conditioning in the booth, while being sure it is silent enough not to be on mic. I can NOT tell you how important that is.

With that said, I can't wait to sit in and listen. Should prove to be a "butt kicker"!

If there is anything I can ever do to help (like ruin your show), feel free to ask.

Well I know that may be the persona that we give out as MODS, but hopefully this live show will show that we are real human beings and most of us have a great sense of humour and we believe humour and seriousness has a place depending on situation.

There will be laughs. I can promise you that
