Kindred spirits is all I have to say to you Gracie (if I may call you by your name), especially the bit about "big heart", "but wouldn't have it any other way", ditto!
I am concerned that you say the ground is hot. For somebody as attuned to your surroundings as you are, and given Etna's last rather volatile tantrum....need I say more?
here for you always,

Thanks Louise.I was wondering. There is quite a flurry today...no more than usual around the Med. But I had a 'funny feeling' (can get away with saying that on this thread!
) about Etna, and then these two EQ's you have pointed out occured, but I wasn't sure how close to Etna they were.
Thanks again...hope it wont be a long night!

Yes, we are nice and relaxed here
Have to work tomorrow so can't do much of a long night. Etna looks ok at the moment, just picking up movement from other quakes although I can't match them. One at around 17.00 UTC? Can you see anything that would tie in?

No nothing. But then I am not as good as you at reading charts

Did have a scout around, especially the latest in North Chile......but that's too deep anyhow....its antipode (Chile) is just off Maccau in China Sea!

This is Etna's charts, maybe showing the Peru quake. Non of the other charts are rising. She has done this before and then gone back to sleep. Will watch for another hour.

ALERT!

Please! If you do not hear from me for Etna updates over the next few days DO NOT FLOOD THIS THREAD with concerns for my welfare. I'm having severe connection difficulties and I do not know when these problems will be repaired. If I'm not online DO NOT think the worst!

Friends, I am so thankful for you all, and I know you wish me well, but, what I don't want is to start a panic and for this thread to go askew. So please, I do thank you in advance for your all being concerned, I really do, and it's your strength that gives me strength - but please let's keep this thread for UPDATES FOR ETNA!

Now, the reason I'm posting this is not only am I not available at the moment for 'instant updates' as I was in the past - BUT-

THERE WAS AN ALERT BROADCAST FOR ETNA AND EQ's FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS!

I just finished listening to the vulcanoligists in Catania. They're reporting Stromboli is active and there are signs of Etna's imminent erupting - along with 'probable’ ‘earthquake action’.

Friends - please report what you can, post pics here that are available. I'll do all I can to get here with 'live' updates but as I stated I'm severely diminished in that capability due to my internet.

Keep the info coming, let's show some AWESOME COVERAGE of these events - IF they happen - and without driving the thread off course.

The world will be watching folks. Let's show them what we can do.

And, if nothing happens? At least we were ready!

Tzavros If there’s ‘action’ and I’m not around would you please ‘alert’ a mod (using the alert system) to update the thread title to reflect the correct date and page for update information.
Thank you in advance for all you’ve done here.

Peace to you all...

UNTIL NEXT TIME!

Gracie!
OK, message recieved and understood. As I asked a few days ago if you were seeing any out of the ordinary signs from Etna...are you? Would they sort of coroborate what they have announced?
Will go and see if Dr Boris has posted anything.
I know you will stay safe.

Monitoring here as much as I can. Picked up several small earthquakes throughout the week. Charts are even but something is brewing. You know Enta, She never gives much warning.

Hi All - I've got really sketchy service (still) but getting better.

Etna is quiet - Almost too quiet.

And it's HOT!

Between those factors and the EQ's recently I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't act up - BUT - ya never know with her!

NO worries all! Hugs around! Gotta make this quick... I hope to be back later to answer questions!

Until Next Time!

peace
