Yes, I did see that. These, "comets" were there again last night. I recorded another 30 frames. This time there were 5 of them but further away. To
fast for stars, wrong shape for planes. Plasma balls? One dropped into the ash cloud and vanished in a puff. Very strange. I have heard of earthquake
lights, I wonder if this is the same kind of thing.
What I will do is tidy it up a bit and add last nights footage and add some writing, then see if I can upload tomorrow. Wish we could see these in
better light to see if they are solid or gas.
I love Etna, She just keeps going with Her supprises.
I'd prefer to believe the core is at a warming stage and when magma gets hotter
it expands, therefore needing a place to release the pressure,, like Etna.
I did think that but they move to slow for them. I filmed some over me the other day, whoosh, gone.
It is Perseids and should peek tonight, so might be intersting to watch the cameras to see if we can see anything.

because: added a line
I watched it for ten minutes as it moved off the view. Some times it stayed still others in the 30 seconds camera refresh had moved a fair distance.
It vanished as it had arrived, in a puff.
I think what you're seeing is a cloud catching some rays maybe? Sometimes the clouds here - especially around Etna are so bright they seem to be on
fire.
I'd like to check that out but every time I click on RSOE I get a notice my modem isn't online - very strange (as I'm here, obviously).
I'll check later. I was outside too much to notice much of anything - it's usually when I'm sitting at the computer I feel the 'ground shakes' -
it will be interesting to see what towns/areas these 2.5's took place. Thank you for keeping us up to date.
There are some absolutely amazing photo's on this thread, truely beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
If this thread wasnt here I wouldnt get to see half of what is going on as there is rarely anthing in the news, so Im really grateful to be able to
come here and keep up to date
