So my ears suddenly began ringing so bad about 15 min ago that it feels like I have a glass bowl over my head.

Anyone else?

Yes on the ringing!

So I took my son to a movie which started at 1:50pm and shortly into the movie, I had a really strong ringing in my right ear. So loud and intense I heard it OVER the movie in a theater. It's like the sound cut out in my right ear while the ringing happened. That's a new one for me.

And now the pressure (like gravity pressing down on me even harder) has started up again in the last half hour on the whole center of my body.

Then take a look at the deeper 2.4 just south of it in Oregon. Both of them probably coming from the subduction zone.

THEN....you have to take a look at THIS VANCOUVER ISLAND CANADIAN SEISMIC MAP to get the complete picture.

Be sure you scroll down below the picture to take a look at that LOOOOONG list of quakes for the past 30 days. I am stll kicking myself for not catching on to this missing piece of the puzzle sooner. Here I have been somewhat comfortable thinking that if it goes...it'll be SW of me, come to find out all the action is a bit closer than I thought. It go one of two ways: Either all those quakes are relieving the pressure so if it goes, it WILL be further south....OR....these are all mounting foreshocks, with the last 4.5 being the real pre-curser to something ugly.

This makes my stomach hurt.

Aw Westcoast... my heart is going out to you!!!

Remember, you are one of the MOST prepared folks I've ever come across. Not to mention, you are stronger (emotionally & mentally) than most! Do not doubt yourself and your instincts, ever!!! Staying strong, alert and calm are the keys here. I realize the "calm" part comes and goes, but hang onto that as much as you can.

If I could give you a hug, I would. I am sending prayers and positive energy your way. Stay safe and strong, my friend!

Thank you!! I am actually feeling better now than I have since about a week before the japan quake. I think that the physical affects of it are finally wearing off and my dogs seem to be calming down too. Only thing left at the moment are the ringing ears. They aren't as bad as yesterday, but still there.

Having lived here for over 20 yrs, I know that I can't let myself stress over the possibilities all the time. It is just with everything going on, it seems to be culminating and it is harder and harder to supress the thoughts.

Actually, after my severe premonition to the Japan quake, I am at least a little bit reassured that I may have an even stronger sense to something major so close to me. I think at this point I just need to be very aware while not obsessed (sometimes a hard thing to balance). It makes it easier that I am busy working this week so I am at least distracted for part of the day.

Trace radiation from Japan reaches Washington, but no health risk

The Washington Department of Health announced Monday trace levels of radiation from the nuclear crisis in Japan were recently detected in the state, but do not present a health risk.

According to Tim Church with the Department of Health, "the minuscule amounts of radioactive iodine are millions of times lower than levels that would be a health concern."

Well...it's here.

I have friends leaving Australia for California tomorrow morning. I spoke to them about obtaining iodine before they leave and do you believe they can't get it here? The reason the shop owner said was that all our stocks are being sent to America! Our shelves are empty too.
I wonder if any of it is being sent to Japan.

I think it is just panic purchasing here in the states. I have to admit that I ordered two bottles first-thing after the nuclear issue came to light. I do not expect to need them for this event, but it made me realize that I was missing something in my emergency bag.

The levels of radioactive iodine are not even high enough to register on the background monitors, which is why they still look normal. They don't expect it to increase.....standing by on that one. I do not anticipate needing the iodine and I want to remind everyone NOT to take any unless directed to do so....the benefit needs to outweigh the risk and we are nowhere NEAR that right now.

Yep the ears continue to ring and the pressure changes on my head are getting old. The last three days went by in a blur, I have not slept in 48 hours and am full of energy, I feel strange, real strange, and no I am not on anything. Dreamtime anyone?

I have heard a few people this week now say that they have really bad virtigo...me included and my son.

Hope it all goes away soon. There is a bug going around, and I have been sick with it so I am hoping it is just that.

I found a website the state has set up for monitoring the air. Thought those of us living in the state might appreciate it. I trust it more than I do the EPA:

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been weeding through this thread as I just moved to Washington a few months back from across the country, so I am trying to learn as much as I can about this stuff. Fascinating and freaky all at the same time.

There is an update on the house in Everett. It has sunk/moved 5 more feet since last measured. New picture in the article. www.king5.com...

I'm not sure about the rest of you but usually when I feel this pressure, headaches, sinuses etc.. it's usually due to a weather change, like a day before it rains my head will start to ache. Same thing happens with my wife, I think it has something to do with the barometric pressure..
And about the ear's ringing, mine haven't stopped ringing for the past few years. (due to I'm getting old and the work I do)

Edit to add
Look's like the Olympic Peninsula is getting active.. USGS

Yes...it is. Here is the list of quakes from the map you linked:

MAP 2.0 2011/03/24 03:21:57 47.492 -122.670 25.3 5 km ( 3 mi) SW of East Port Orchard, WA
MAP 2.1 2011/03/23 12:24:51 47.944 -123.124 44.8 13 km ( 8 mi) SW of Blyn, WA
MAP 1.2 2011/03/23 08:08:25 47.976 -122.542 51.5 4 km ( 3 mi) S of Freeland, WA
MAP 1.6 2011/03/23 05:32:14 47.900 -122.897 24.8 8 km ( 5 mi) N of Quilcene, WA
MAP 1.6 2011/03/22 00:58:22 48.822 -123.028 18.7 24 km ( 15 mi) WSW of Birch Bay, WA
MAP 1.4 2011/03/19 14:38:27 47.286 -122.689 27.9 5 km ( 3 mi) WSW of Artondale, WA
MAP 1.5 2011/03/19 05:58:16 47.285 -122.688 27.0 5 km ( 3 mi) WSW of Artondale, WA
MAP 1.4 2011/03/19 02:23:47 47.296 -122.671 29.2 3 km ( 2 mi) W of Artondale, WA
MAP 2.9 2011/03/18 04:34:50 47.288 -122.691 31.9 5 km ( 3 mi) WSW of Artondale, WA

Note the depth. This is what I was talking about earlier this week. I don't like to see this increase of quakes in this area (over the subduction zone) at those depths.

As to the ears/sinuses...sometimes with severe weather it may affect me, but not normally. I noticed a correlation with the large quakes last year, and now after the experience with the Japan quake, I am at least convinced for myself, I am affected physically by them. It makes perfectly logical, scientific sense to me too.

In the past week there haven't been many tremors, but those that have been recorded are all at the Southern end of things (Northern California). This causes me to expect a larger quake up north, in the sound soon if it isn't 'answered'. Now when I say 'larger', I mean a 3.0 or more.

Okay my NW friends...I saw something really wierd yesterday. It was still bothering me this morning so I started a thread to try and get some help identifying it.

You all know what an avid photographer I am and its driving me crazy I couldn't get a picture of it. I am now carrying my good camera around with me in my car just in case I see it again.

Anyways...wondering if any of you may have seen it? I drew a pic and put it in the thread..

Fritzthecat...it was headed your way, so maybe you saw it? (I know...a long shot for sure)

THREAD

ETA: Oh...and there was a 4.4 quake ofshore Oregon...Southern. I expect to see some more soon.

So I am getting a strong sense again that something may be brewing. Let's hope I am wrong!

ETA: Last time I felt this way was about two hours before the Japan quake.
