Not exactly so, anarchist-rebel, not to be anti Christian, but to awaken and educate Christians. Only bad thing is, most of the Christians are already brainwashed too far for deprogramming techniques. I have a brother who was a Christian minister, before he decided to learn things not in the bible, and he has told me of the brainwashing techniques he was taught in Theology College, not to mention the hand movements and gestures, and the forceful way of speech used.

Don't get me wrong. I've no horse in this race as I am not by any stretch of the imagination a Christian. But if you did not wish to "stir the pot" why exactly did you post a site about the cruelties of the Inquestition under the thread title "Exposing Christianity"? Especially when knowledge of the Inqustition is not a rare thing. I'm sorry but it leads one to believe that was your aim to start yet another "all Christians suck because of monstrous things done along time ago" thread. Because if that was my aim it's exactly what I'd do. Most likely would deny that was my aim too, so those inclined to believe me would rally to defend me.

I thought I'd put this in the Paranormal Studies section since it has to do with demons/spiritual stuff.

So I've been looking at this site called joyofsatan.org and they show how to summon demons. But they don't exactly give a step-by-step guide on how to do it, more like general guidelines. So I was wondering if some of you ATS members could help me find out how to do the ritual properly. Me & a few of my friends tried to summon Beelzebub last night but I'm not sure if it worked, since we're beginners & we're not sure if we preformed the ritual right. If you have no intention of helping me with this, then Please refrain from posting in here!

I am a Christian. A Jesus loving God fearing Christian. The people responsible for the Inquisition are no more a true Christian than say, Constantine was .

Trying to group all so-called Christians with true Christians, is like grouping all Americans with the ones that put Asian Americans in camps during WWII, or saying that someone that is German is just as responsible for the Holocaust as the Germans of the 1930s... they all believe the same thing...right? NO they don't, No we don't.

By your reasoning, all whites are responsible for slavery in America...even the ones born 130 years later. Or all Central American Indian descendants should be held accountable for the sacrifices of the Incas and Mayans.... even a thousand years later.

I really cannot answer that question for you. All I know about it was told me by my brother, a person I trust to be telling the truth, that is, unless Christian ministers are known to lie, is that the case? I too can control a crowd by using these methods, some have said I would make an excellent televangelist, and I could be a millionaire too. I just hate telling people thing even I do not believe it.

Was the ideology of the Inquisition in line with the values that Christ taught?

I don't think so.

My point is that the world was a brutal place back then. It was a way of life. The actions of the Inquisition have nothing to do with the doctrine of peace and forgiveness that was taught by Christ, and much to do with power and politics.

If guys like Tomas Torquemada didn't use religion as their tool to exercise power, it would be something else.

All of mankind lie - Christian or not. And yes, there are quite a few "preachers" on the tv circuit that are serving satan instead of God. A "few", out of millions.

Hmm...normal human behavior, back then and now.
No new tale to tell...so why bother? We kill, shun, hurt, mame, steal from, torture, and just plain old screw over one another. We have done so all along, and I don't think you can change us (humans).
Torture methods have changed, but it's still done in the name of the lord.

You do realize that everything you quoted is in the old testament, right? Do you realize that those of us who are "Christians" are no longer required to follow the Mosaic law, although the basic precepts are necessary to society, do not steal, kill, etc.? We are now under the "New covenant", given to us by Yeshua. It is simply, "Do unto others as you would have done to you" and "Love thy neighbor as thyself". IF, and that's is an enormous if, everyone who claims to belong to Yeshua actually lived by "The Golden Rule", life would be perfect indeed. Unfortunately, we are ALL human, and we screw up pretty much steadily. I could never claim that I treat everyone as I would like to be treated, I am simply too crappy to make that claim. But I do try to remember that love is what is required of me as a follower of Yeshua.
