Gorilla seen in Nasa snap from Mars

Question.. how long did it take for Nasa to land that rover onto Mars?

Gorilla On Mars?

Classify this one under the same nonsense as the "Bigfoot on Mars" the wooden plank on Mars, or perhaps even the "Face on Mars." Just an optical illusions, folks from a very, very zoomed in image from the Mars rovers. The Sun newspaper seemingly started this foolishness on what must have been a slow news day.

The original image has been around awhile. It was taken by the Opportunity rover back on sol 87 in 2004. Click here to see the original image marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov... Can you see any gorillas? I'm sure if you look really close and zoom in and distort any of the rocks you can see whatever you fancy.

I never heard of this... However I know that there was a rock photographed by the rover Sojourner that looked like an animal head, maybe a chimpanzee, so it was called "Chimp."

Seriously? It's not like this was a thread showing a UFO and ppl made jokes. It showed a rock and someone likened it to a gorilla! On Mars! Lighten up mods, please.

Here is a picture taken the next day (25 hours later, actually) that shows the same "gorilla" standing at the same spot:

A gorilla on mars!?! That is great. It's a rock, with no mouth, no arms, no food, it doesn't move...how funny is that?

It may be nothing more than a rock, but to answer the question of why there would be an ape on Mars...

Is it at all possible that there was once life on mars and this anamoly and maybe some others are remnants of statues that are there?

Would justify the rock built structure and the shape that is carries. We make statues of many things, especially in art deco and who knows what would stand the test of time if civilization were to dissappear for one reason or another.

Logic does say that it is a rock, but intrigue says it could be more - my opinion is if it is more it is no more than a statue.

Nah! The shadows on the face depict a much more refined face than a gorilla. I think its a rock formation. If it were gorillas or other types of large beasts, I believe that rover would have been toast a long time ago.

It has a mouth,if you look carefully,pursed up in an expression of dire shock because the rover's just driven over it's kids' foot.
Obviously,it moves veeeeeery slowly because there's no oxygen,food or water,so it has to conserve its energy.

There can be little doubt (as seen from the official source photo) that this is assuredly a Mars anomoly. Somebody is monkeying around on Mars and with its imagery.

But then again, when has that been new news?

It's a real picture of a real rock that could look a little like a gorilla when viewed a certain way...there is no "monkeying around with the imagery" required (no pun intended).

The photo from Mars I talk about with the Chimp in front of a rock was

presented by a former NASA employee and in color. The former employee

did not present it as such but to me the Chimp was obvious. This was from a

photo that I have never seen posted.


The Gorilla Mama in this photo is not what we would call a Gorilla on Earth

even though it has similar body structure but the head is somewhat similar to

a larger version of a Ferret with a fuller face and smaller nose. ^Y^

ok i've read some very crazy things on this site but you cannot be serious about this. do you really expect anyone to believe that there are gorrillas on mars?? there isn't even an atmosphere on the red planet!!!!!!!
