Great thread!

A few years ago I rented a DVD put out by VICE magazine. It was an extreme adventure travel kind of DVD where they went to dangerous and or strange places.

In one segment, they travel to South America to investigate these German settlements. I forget all the details but I recall them interviewing the grandchildren of the original germans.

It was really interesting and I wish I could remember more detail.

If you are interested in seeing one of these towns as they look today, I recommend tracking down this DVD.

Here is a link to an article I found online detailing the entire content of the DVD.

www.dvdreview.com...

I have copied the relevant portion here to give you a taste.

"The Last Aryans of Paraguay" are next on the agenda, as writer Derrick Beckles sets out to find Nueva Germania, a proposed Wagnerian utopia where Aryans would be able to run free without the intrusion of hated Jews, developed by Elisabeth Nietzsche and Bernhard Förster that later served as a retreat for Dr. Josef Mengele and other Nazi war criminals after World War II. The only remnants of that colony are a pair of reclusive brothers who, according to the locals, may be cannibals.

Hope this adds a little to the knowledge pool....and yes...this is why I joined ATS.

Great thread with tons of interesting leads, facts and questions. I thoroughly enjoyed Forsythe's books but now have a list of new reading to discover!

Thanks again! * + F

Nicely researched. I have often pondered the south american link to the nazis. They are alive and well and stealthily planning. I was particularly alerted when the Bush's, a family steeped in nazi sympathy and support, purchased a huge piece of land in Paraguay toward the end of GW's presidency.

WOW this is all new stuff to me!

I have always been fascinated by the nazis and their motives/projects. Although they did some horrid things, you cant deny that they were super interesting people.

For anyone in the U.K. there is a program on the National Geographic +1 channel at 6pm tonight called 'Nazi Twin Mystery' concerning this very subject!

wicked post, i love this suject, especially the kecksburg acorn/nazi bell theory.
south america is a logical place for the nazis to head too, as it was a resupply point for their base in antarctica.
and this ties in nicely with admiral byrds operation high jump, his supposed commments about flying vehicles being able to fly from pole to pole in short time, have always made me think about the nazi bell/ufo.
James Vincent Forrestal's murder/suicide is also noteworthy as he was secretary of the navy, and first secretary of defense, he was privy to all info from the timeframe involving op high jump.

there is a lot of mystery concerning the escape of the nazis in ww2, and its well worth looking into.

I totally agree 100% on that the vedas read just like a sci fi novel and Himmler was really into it,and Hitler was obssesed with it as well.i have done tons of research on this and a few of my conrads and i are disscussing the magnetic antigravity propulsion thing on another thread,it is extremely possible and many scientists had succeses with it in the past like, viktor schaubereger who was involved in project paper clip.

A really intruiging thread , its incredible how far a man can go without a board of directors stopping research becuase of morales!

Mengele did certainly do some incredibly horrible things to humans, and karma must have certainly burned him!

One thing mengele did do however which was a benefit to mankind was his research into the effects of cold temperatures on the human body.

Despite killing innocent people to get the data his research helped our understanding of these effects and how to combat them!

Ok... this is the point where I can't be quiet anymore.

First of all: the hypothermia experiments were conducted at Dachau, not Auschwitz, Mengele didn't come within a 100 km radius of those.
Second: They did *nothing* to advance medicine.
Here is one fun article on the subject, you can without doubt find more:
www.nytimes.com...

As for Mengele trying to make twins: Afaik his goal was to find out what is determined by heritage, and what by socialisation. That Village story is too far out there to seriously contemplate. Mengele not only finds a way to split a cygote with tablets and potions, (lets not forget that this must happen before the woman has any chance to know she is pregnant), No these tablets are also magical enough to keep their effect through several generations!
Haven't heard of that village before and will have to look into what other people have to say about it. But I seriously doubt a "Wizard Mengele"

Other than that, great work OP! Some of it, rather well known of course (You should be able to find a chapter on the "Rattenlinie" in most Highschool textbooks. It's the colloquial german term for ODESSA) But well presented, and factual! Definitely worth knowing for those who didn't.

The Mengele claim stems from a popular book by a journalist, not from someone credible.

I personally mailed the University staff that did study the DNA of the village inhabitants and she guaranteed me that the twin anomaly exists since creation of the village in the mid 19th century. There are several articles in spanish on the net from when the story broke that clear that up - I've never seen one in English. Rest assured that I am totally open to any lucid Nazi-tales, as collectiing and researching them is one of my great hobbies as you'll see from my post history. If you can't find the article I'll look for it in my archives.

There's no hard evidence in the book that would prove Mengele's presence their. IMO other people have found better leads, although nothing has been proven satisfactorily up to now.

BTW I woudn't get into argument about the blatant disregard for historical standards, it seems quite some folks on this site really don't care for them.

Nobody ever claimed that this was Hitlers Skull

Wladimir Koslow

Vice-Director of the Russian State Archive (spiegel source)

In the academic discussion, the way of thinking is more along the lines of questioning the researcher, called Bellantoni if I remember correctly. It seems he isn't really telling the truth, especially about what he was shown and how the objects were announced to him. Some doubts also remain about how many probes he took back to the US. As far as I know the existence of the blood-stain probe hasn't been demonstrated by him yet.

As for Hitler, I'm all but convinced that his remains were burned and the ashes thrown away in East Germany in the 1970's. And I am as sure as I can get in history that Hitler and Braun in fact were the 2 bodies from the bunker. We have every reason to believe so.

If my conjecture is asked for; I think the skull was simply mistaken; or maybe one of the KGB officers designated to burn the remains in 1970 snuck out Eva's skull as a souvenir and it somehow landed in the russian archives.

Anyway, there's not that much news on the story. Things will clear up eventually, but IMO some kind of mistake is most likely. The Hitler-lives-myth is mostly a Stalinist-KGB canard.

Are you serious?

The bodies were identified by dental records. The "dental records" were actually recreations of dental records. Hand drawn. From memory. By the hygenist/assistant.

In short: no dental record whatsoever.

What makes you so sure it was Hitlers body, and not the body of one of his doubles, or some poor Jew cum stand-in?

Your absolute certainty makes it suspect, considering that to be so certain would require the shrugging off of quite a mound of evidence.

I looked over that particular area of land (from the video) and saw some really interesting stuff. There are numerous craters all of the place. At one location, near one of the dark circular objects, theres a large number of craters surrounding the far side opposite of the ocean. They're all in an arch formation around the circle, almost like a battleship at sea was firing at it. I noticed other craters near what seems to be remains of buildings. Very interesting.

Is there any way of knowing how much wealth the NAZIs amassed in WW II, and where most of it went?

U.S. industrialists financed Hitler, that much is known, and a member Bush family was deeply and perhaps centrally involved. We have now had two Bush Presidents, both of them creating a mass redistribution of wealth, where the rich got richer, and everyone else got poorer. Wide spread white collar crime has nearly destroyed our economy, and we currently in seriously bad economic chaos at the moment. Add in the recent purchase of land in Paraguay, and it is hard not to be suspicious.

Why does Argentina want the Falklands?

How much technology has been bought up and hidden from the public over the last fifty years or more?

Then we have this rise in a very poisonous version of liberalism, which puts the rights of immigrants above the citizens of the first world nations.

Great thread, nice to see some light shined in a direction where it needs to be shined.

What makes me so sure? The testimony of Linge, Günscher, Junge and many more fits perfectly. Of all the people who had possible knowledge of the event and whose testimony we have, nobody gives an account that is far off from the others.

It's years since I've followed this angle of the story but I remember that the Russians only managed to get hold off the dentists assistant, like you said (that was something that made Stalin very, very paranoid as Andropov recalls). But if I remember correctly that's only half of the truth as the Americans picked up the dentist himself (with his records?)... I'll have to look it up again.

Knowing about Hitler and Stalin and their personal quirks helps allot in explaining how the confusion and mystery of his death were produced.

And, to be honest - in all of the post-WW-2 Nazi tales that I see sufficient evidence for Adolf Hitler is not a part of the game. In fact most of those theories take HItler's Death as a premise too, as he really doesn't fit in with the crowd and activities of the "Ex"-Nazis we know of in France, UdssR, Spain, Nort and South America and Egypt and etc... You can construct a reasonable guess about how Kammler or Mengele could have managed to escape to South America, but for Hitler to have done so it just ain't that easy.

But physical evidence in this story won't ever come by. Because Hitler, Stalin and Andropov all were paranoid about the Führers Corpse, there will never be definite evidence. Not even from the supposed skull, since it's not really clear how the notion of that skull being hitlers ever came into being.

Until a credible and consistent account comes from a credible source that was in the bunker (documented) giving me an alternative version I'm not inclined to believe otherwise.
And that's not for lack of searching, I used to be convinced that Hitler lives a royal life somewhere in Antactirca commanding a horde of UFO's and watching Parades of our coming Aryan overlords. It's just that much of those beliefs didn't hold up to the evolution of my critical thinking. I've never read a credible account is what I'm saying, in all these years. If you think you have something that a simple google search won't reveal and that is convincing evidence or even material that would corroborate a he-survived-the-war narrative I'd be more than happy to give it a read.

Good Day to you!

To the best of my knowledge, those parts of the wealth the Nazis amassed and didn't spend, a part went to South America, Spain and Switzerland as a fund for that ominous club of Ex-Nazis.
Some of the rest fell into the Allied hands as private plunder, most of it ended up in American hands though and was used as a strategic slush fund (very much comparable to the "M-Fund" Theodore Shackley set up with the Yama#a Gold treasure recovered in the Phillippines.)... The Japanese plunder is better documented, I think Sterling Seagraves is the name of the guy who wrote extensively about that. The books I have on the german counterpart of the M-Fund are in german, unfortunatly.

Anways, it's still mostly guessing, up to this point, although deathbed-confessions by some GI's have helped in the last 10 years or so.. LOL..

The account matching so nicely is what is so suspicious. Having done many investigations of my own in my career running a large call center, I have never once had stories that closely matching.

The only other analog to it is the way the Apollo astronauts spoke of the moon.

I don't think Hitler did a whole lot after the war...but i believe he survived it.
