Moral societies use grand-sounding terms like tolerance, freedom, justice and peace to describe their leadership void in which all behavior except that which appears violent is tolerated. Yet the violence of parasitism cracks them because it causes massive socialized costs as the society rots under the weight of parasitic behaviors, which extract profit at a cost passed on to all others. Many of these costs are not financial, but existential. Driving down a city street clustered with ugly signs, breathing the exhaust of a thousand cars, while endless commercial messages rain down from multiple media and a few wealthy rule over a cultureless mass of stupid people... this is the end-state of a moral society, and one we have now attained.

If American really cared about the homeless, the Gov would make it so that you're not allowed to sue people if they get ill from day old hamburgers.

SIMPLE: Mc D's, Wendy's, Stake and Shake, Hardies ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC (pick on of the hundred fatfood.. ehem fast food locations) Would be "safe" to give away its leftovers at the end of the day to the homeless. Or any resterunt for that matter. If someone gets sick, OH WELL. I mean hell, they are dumpster diving for food now, why not give them a safe location to pick up a happy meal.

BUT NO!!!!!!!! The PTB wants them to die, cuz they do not pay in and cost the system. So the sooner they die the better... Fracking people...

The title was a reflection of the story.

It was implying what the story was eluding too.

Further explanation available if needed.

(I can't believe I had to explain this)

why cant they jsut put the homeless in work camps?
I read all those threads about how we have these camps. those would be perfect places for the homeless. They would get a roof over their head and could go out and clean the streets during the day or work in a mine. I mean at least they would be doing something.

Why don't we set land aside for people that don't want to work and let them live there. Most homeless are homeless because they don't want to be part of our "civilized" world. As civilization erodes you will be seeing more and more homeless. Most people don't want to work unless they have a job that they want. Unfortunately, with the amount of red tape that has been made necessary to go through to be anything in this world I definitely understand why this is taking place.
Humans are no longer evolving, Most are devolving. I'll tell you why and how I know this.
The reason people evolved in teh first place is because of a reaction to the environment. So from a natural state we emerged. there are still some of us that are in this natural state and continue to evolve, because they are in an environment that is evolving. They are working in harmony with that environment, this is called symbiotic. They are still involved with the great cycle of life.
Here is where we come in. We have thrown away the great cycle, and have adopted "I am better than the environment." as an attitude. If you don't live with the bacteria as it evolves it will kill you, period end of story. (antibiotics take that away)
If we aren't evolving with the environment what are we evolving with? We are adapting to walking on concrete, never having a moment to rest, a diminutive brain(most in this civilization don't use it). If you don't use it you lose it. One of the best ways to use it is to keep an open mind and explore a little bit. Most people are so closed off that ridicule is the most likely response. The rulers of this civilization is the most to blame for lack of cooperation between our fellow man. Everything is a contest with fear driving the machine.
Wake up and help your neighbor, go ask them if you can help them if you see them doing something. Start working together to change the world. Stop and gaze in awe at that beautiful sunset. God has given us everything, and then Western civilization stepped in and ruined it across the world. We need to end this wanton destruction.
Every cell in our body works together as a team so that we can survive. The only true way for Man to evolve is for humans to work together with themselves and other species. That's how it was in the beginning, 2 microorganisms said hey rather than you eat me(Mr. Ameoba) Why don't we work this out and I(Mr. Algae) will be part of you and we will be stronger than any other because there are 2 in one now.
An ameoba like devoured a microorganism similar to an algae. The algae became the mitochondria of our cells(Our mitochondria have their own distinct DNA, don't believe me use that brain learn something look it up and read). This team work, an act of evolution helped create all life on this planet.
TEAM WORK=EVOLUTION
Through cooperation we will evolve not living in fear. We all need to quit fearing everything and walk out and shake our neighbors hands.

I hope this helps free your mind!

This isn't anything too new really. I have friends in ministry that would go to Columbus and serve free drinks and hotdogs to people (specifically targeting the homeless) but they were told they couldn't anymore due to new regulations that force them to have a vendors license and charge for the food. They cant just give it away. I might not have that exactly right but I know that it bothered them a great deal that they couldnt do this ministry anymore.

Sad thing is, many (not saying all) homeless are in their situation because they choose to be. Fathers leaving their families and sleeping in the streets, kids that run away from home, etc. My heart goes out to those who are trying to improve their condition but are met with obstacle after obstacle, but some just don't want to improve their life, or at least dont want to work to do it. Government handouts please, seem to be plenty of them going around.

Just let them rot? Is this what the authorities want? How bloody heartless!
I work with street homeless people. I don't think the Obamas would like to hear this story. It is an absolute disgrace! I hope it does not happen to you?!!!

What the hell kind of communist stuff is this? Making up laws saying we can't do this and that. Totally unconstitutional IMO.
Any police officer who would enforce this is as sick as the people making these laws up.

wow... I didn't know the hungry were so picky..

anyway this is not about soup kitchens.. this is about regular joe's and jane's not being able to help out someone in need because, apparently, when people are preparing food for the homeless they aren't as careful and tend to confuse salt with rat poison.

but hey, if the government thinks that the hungry aren't hungry enough and can wait to have someone inspect every spoon of food they ingest, who are we to say ney..

So what ever happened to the phrase "Beggers can't be choosers"???

I guess now, by law, beggers can in fact be choosers.

Oh well...I'll still give them an extra apple if I have one.

this is disturbing. so miami and i'm sure many other cities to follow are about to kill homeless people right in front our eyes. unfortunetly in today's society most will not feed homeless because they know they will get fined for it. sure many spare their change but how many of us actually feed them? 1 out of 10 maybe? if that. its another sad story in the united states.

You definitely can see the best and worst of humanity in statements from threads like this.

If human beings cannot look out for one another when times are hard, it's the law of the jungle. All the "kingpins" with the "it can't happen to me because I've got work ethics and I'm educated and powerful and blah blah blah..." could wind up just like the lion who gets kicked in the jaw by a zebra and dies of starvation. Very sad, but not for the jackals.

this is programming/ conditioning/ brainwashing at its finest. wow.

this is a perfect example of how "they" do not want us as a people.. as a society to help each other. to support each other. they want us to kick each other when we are down. turn all of us against each other. they want us to seriously think that we need to take a class in order to help a brother in need. the comments on here about sending these people, who are our brothers and sisters, away to a camp, are a perfect example of what they are trying to get us to do to each other. you know the movie 1984 i think is what it is called? it starts with the homeless... and then turns into them getting your kids to turn against you until there is nothing but absolute chaos.

"they" know what happens when all of the people who are a part of a society are supporting each other, loving each other and compassionate with each other. they know the power behind that energetically. and do not want us to tap into it.

i encourage everybody to ignore this completely.. and go out and help a brother or a sister in need today - in any way. even with just a smile or holding a door. that is what is going to change this world. not taking classes on how to help the homeless.

So it's alright for the homeless to eat out of the garbage cans -
- but not ok for their fellow human beings to feed them without taking classes?
The food is safer from the garbage cans? Come on!

I sure hope we understand how every little thing we do instinctively as a species is being striped away from us. Thus causing our survival to be in the hands of the "law".

We are in serious trouble when we have to get "permission" from an outside source
to feed one another. Serious serious trouble.

"Any society, any nation, is judged on the basis of how it treats its weakest members -- the last, the least, the littlest."
~Cardinal Roger Mahony, In a 1998 letter, Creating a Culture of Life

In other words, follow the Golden Rule. The world will be a better place because of it.

There are SO many ways around this law it's ridiculous. Just make a meal put it in a green trash bag or brown paper bag next to the dumpster and tell a homeless guy there's food in the bag.

Technically you are not feeding the homeless, you are throwing away food, and once it's in the trash it's fair game.

Walk by a homeless guy and drop a bag in front of him. Your not feeding the homeless, your littering.

Wrap the food in a blanket. Give the blanket to the homeless. If caught act dumb.

Order two hamburgers. Sit on the corner and eat one, and leave the other.

Bring a home less guy into McD's or any other food place. Have him order and then you pay and walk out.

Seems to me like its an attempt on the city to cash in on a growing trend, the homeless. As for work camps tigpoppa you have the social world view of a hamster, you should be careful least you end up homeless, with that statement alone I can tell you have been living in a bubble. There are different types of homeless that I have seen. The most common are those who thought, the government is a be all and know all entity, or thought that there current job would last most of there lives. The second is the hopelessly lost, on the wrong end of the spectrum of human society. The third are scammers, the most interesting one I have seen is an investor, I seen this guy in the streets and was using pity, he befriended one of my friends and eventually got my friend to give him a little bit of money, and in time a lot of money. Naturally I told my friend the guy is scamming you he picked you because you believe in the crap he's peddling god and and religion and pity, well he didn't believe me at the time but now he does. I seen the guy in a business suit downtown heading in to a financial trade building when I was at a food joint in the area, guess he put his money on the wrong stocks and ended up broke. Point being it rains on the moral and the immoral, the good and the bad, the poor and those who thought they were going to be rich alike. It only matters who is helping you when it does rain.

Of course they'll make it illegal; we can't have a bunch of anarchists freely feeding the homeless while schooling them a bit about anarchist issues...

US man arrested for feeding the homeless

Police in the US state of Florida have arrested an activist for feeding the homeless in downtown Orlando. According to police, Food Not Bombs charity group spokesman Eric Montanez was charged with violating a controversial law against feeding large groups of destitute people in the city centre. Mr Montanez was filmed by undercover officers on Wednesday as he served "30 unidentified persons food from a large pot utilising a ladle," an arrest affidavit said.

About Food Not Bombs:

The first group was formed in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1980 by anti-nuclear activists. Food Not Bombs is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to nonviolent social change. Food Not Bombs has no formal leaders and strives to include everyone in its decision making process. Each group recovers food that would otherwise be thrown out and makes fresh hot vegan and vegetarian meals that are served in outside in public spaces to anyone without restriction. Each independent group also serves free meals at protests and other events. The San Francisco chapter has been arrested over 1,000 times in government's effort to silence its protest against the city's anti- homeless policies. Amnesty International states it will adopt those Food Not Bombs volunteers that are convicted as "Prisoners of Conscience" and will work for their unconditional release. Even though we are dedicated to nonviolence Food Not Bombs activists in the United States have been under investigation by the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, Pentagon and other intelligence agencies. A number of Food Not Bombs volunteers have been arrested on terrorism charges.

...And then there is this:

Food Not Bombs is often the first to provide food and supplies to the survivors of disasters. During the first three days after the 1989 Earthquake, Food Not Bombs was the only organization in San Francisco providing hot meals to the survivors. Food Not Bombs was also the first to provide hot meals to the rescue workers responding to September 11th World Trade Center attacks. Food Not Bombs volunteers were among the first to provide food and help to the survivors of the Asian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. Our volunteers organized a national collection program and delivered bus and truckloads of food and supplies to the gulf region. We were one of the only organizations sharing daily meals in New Orleans after Katrina. Food Not Bombs is now preparing for the economic crash organizing Food Not Lawns community gardens, housing the homeless with Homes Not Jails, organizing additional meals each week and starting new Food Not Bombs chapters.

So yeah, this is what it is all about folks. Reall grassroots CHANGE that you can actually believe in given it's track record. This idea is non-violent and yet highly effective in garnering more awareness, respect and solidarityamongst the people.

Considering the doom and gloom scenarios seemingly on the horizon, these free food gatherings are undoubtedly considered to be training camps for homegrown terrorists.

Politicians have the ability to make me sick on a daily basis... quite a feat.
