Also, God is just a title. It is the name and identity of one's god that really matters. For many, if not most, of mankind's rulers throughout history, that god's name has been Lucifer.

Freemasons and other members of occult-oriented societies do not consider themselves witches, and very few witches use hermeticism (or even Kabbalah) as part of their practice. Witchcraft (and paganism in general) is a nature-oriented practice. In fact, ceremonial-based orders such as Freemasonry, the OTO, and other hermetic, mysticism-oriented paths call themselves "high magick" while those who practice witchcraft, voodoo, herbalism, etc. are scorned as "low magick" by the ceremonialists. (Meanwhile, New Agers are pretty much laughed at by all of the above.) Ceremonialists like order and ritual, whereas witches and pagans are intense individualists. You are misinterpreting "witchcraft" to cover an EXTREMELY broad spectrum of religious and magical practices. Again.

Further, your statement that Gematria may not be a magical practice is in conflict with your condemnation of Freemasonry, etc. that uses Gematria quite a bit to discover what you have called "forbidden" or "hidden" knowledge.

Ah, I see. Sorry, it looked similar to Gematria and the methods used to change Hebrew Text into Number Value. Oh well, my main point remains the same even if my example or reference was in error. The point being that 'Things are not always as simple as they first appear' and it has been shown many times that the method of passing along 'Secret Knowledge' is to encrypt it in plain view within as many things as possible so it will be preserved yet unseen by those who are in the dark about such things.

I find it very interesting the way Hebrew and Greek is used in such ways. I wish I had more time to learn about it however learning Hebrew or Greek just seems unlikely to happen at the moment. If nothing else, it is one of the methods used for some of the Bible Code stuff, which unless you know the how's and why's behind it all might as well be ancient Chinese or something, otherwise you just have to kind of take their word for it since their un-coding methods get pretty intense.

One thing I'd like to point out is that regardless of Religion or God's that are worshiped and so forth, the use of Magick is for the most part 'Open Source' in nature. In other words, the use of items like Amulets, Candles, Crystals, Wands, etc. is no different than using a Cross, Rosary Beads, Holy Water, etc. You don't even need to be based in any Religion to use Magick either. Also, this goes for things like Spells, or Curses or whatever that are used with Witches, or Voodoo Magick etc. Yet very few see such things as Faith Healing, Talking in Tongues, Crying/Bleeding Statues, Prayer, etc. as being the same, yet they ARE THE SAME.

In fact, it's almost funny sometimes that so many Self-Righteous members of one Religion spend so much time Pointing Fingers and Pinning the EVIL SATAN WORSHIP tag upon others, while they themselves are caring certain Charms or Items for whatever purposes, Using Prayer or Singing as if it's not the same as Spell Casting or Chanting in most cases. Not to mention things like Certain Holidays (Holy Days) being pretty darn close to Solstice Days, and even including VERY SIMILAR meanings too. I could go on and on about this subject actually, as there are no shortage of examples here.

Coming to an understanding of a definition of "witchcraft" would help conclude this un-ending argument.
