Because we HAVE HAD disclosure. In 1994 we had disclosure about the fact the government lied to us about the weather balloon cover story for what crashed at Roswell, and they told us what really crashed. But nobody wants to believe the disclosure so they think another imaginary disclosure about Roswell is coming ...

This is exactly right. Unfortunately, we'll never know the truth of truths, because chances are, we already know, and refuse to acknowledge it.

As for secrets, I had a Top Secret SCI clearance in the military, and the one thing I kept from the "how to keep secrets" handbook (no, there's not really a handbook) was this: When you have a secret, be sure you accomplish whatever task involved with that secret as quickly as possible, because it will not stay a secret for long.

Secrets don't last forever, they don't even last as long as they should most of the time. Why do we know about the stealth bomber and other black ops projects, if secrets are so easy for hundreds or thousands of people to keep? Because they're not that easy to keep. And the stealth bomber wasn't as world-changing as the possibility of visiting alien life is.

I think Converge is right on the money. I think the government lied about its own interest in the phenomenon, but I have serious doubts that the government knows much more than we do nowadays, or is even interested at all anymore.

What about all the evidence backing the existance of extraterrestrials in our history, specifically talking about past civilizations; i.e. the Mayans, egyptians, etc... I mean all the evidence out there, the great pyramids in egypt, all the great architecural work in Mexico that is very simliar... All the drawings and artifcats, like the plane sculpture found around Egypt that depicts a machine that looks like a plane/ jet from todays standards..?

I've read "Chariots of the Gods" etc and even Von Daniken admits it's not proof, and his ideas are just possibilities, and he's right, it's NOT proof, and even the evidence is thin. I saw that plane you're talking about, and the helicopter next to it, the only problem is those weren't the objects carved, they are the result of multiple inscriptions and some plaster repair falling out of old inscriptions. So that's pretty well debunked. Nazca lines... see below.

I also would like to express that their is probabley more evidence towards the existance of an outer civilization/ ET's than there is towards the existance of jesus and the all mighty creater GOD...

But, then again couldn't both of these things be the same? Aliens/ god being exactly the same just refrenced differentlyCouldn't aliens be our gods, just as others have expressed..? Would that be so far fetched?

Yes and no to the latter question. Look at Nazca lines, they were communications to Gods most likely. And those gods are beings who live in the heavens which is why the lines were made to be seen at altitude.

So does this mean they were aliens? Unless there's some evidence to throw the aliens into the mix and I've never seen any, I'm assuming they were communicating to their gods and just like Greek gods which were also never seen. There doesn't seem to be a prerequisite for a god to exist in order to worship it, just look at the Greek gods. Now if you find a statue of the roman Sun God Apollo, are you going to accept that as proof the Greek myth was true about Apollo pulling the sun across the sky?

NO! Of course not, that statue of Apollo proves noting except that they had a belief in a god and the same can be said for all the other religious evidence including the Nazca lines.

I am a stargate SG-1 fan and like the plot about ancients worshiping false gods who were really Gou'auld aliens etc but that's just science fiction. Unless you've got more evidence than the stargate SG-1 TV show, then yes I'd say it's pretty far-fetched, but it's a fun idea and makes for great TV entertainment, I like that show.

But there are some secrets that are kept secret.

Like the JFK assassination, and it is kept secret for the exact same reason as the true nature of the UFOs. They are intimately related.

Allen Dulles could tell you why. And I can only imagine the look on Earl Warren's face when he was told on the Warren Commission.

I am new here and don't know how to link yet, but I would suggest you read about Operation High Jump and consider the name of that project and know that it was not what even the conspiracy theory said it was.

I would also suggest you view the UFOs over DC in 1952 on You Tube and ask why they appeared.

One night while watching the stars, we saw something, "it" was about the size of a period, maybe a tiny bit bigger, it was really high up and maneuvered across the sky from one end to the other, back again and then up and down.

This thing whatever it was, went from one end of our vision, literally from one end of the night sky to the other within a split second. My BIL sat up and said, "what the hell!". We watched this "thing" maneuver all over the place, almost like it was showing off and or just having fun.

We watched this craft for a few minutes and then it poof it quickly disappeared.

Uncanny - first time I've seen someone on here describe exactly what I saw one night when I was also about 12 years old. Back then our family lived on a dead end street in the suburbs, you could play out there without fear of getting killed by a 18-wheeler or whatnot. One night a friend and I were walking down the street, I have no idea what we were doing or where we were going, etc. It was summer time about 8:30-9 p.m. and both of us saw a light as described above. I was so freaked out I ran back to my house and asked my dad to come out and see it but by the time we met up with my friend (who was almost hyperventilating with excitement) it was gone.

I think it would be cool if UFOs were actually alien craft. But I don't believe that. No clue what any of this stuff is.
