In fact all the evidence suggests they are PARASITES of the worst kind because they can only function in secret >>and seem to never make good decisions.

How do you know who I am or what I own?

Thats your response!!? dude, you just got pwned.

it's obvious you own a computer or at least have access to one, and even enough free time to post on a silly site like ATS, so in the face of some real truth, not your vague definition of truth, your response is you don't know me?

try livin in haiti or afghanistan for a month and then tell me how bad the elite are screwing you...

This depends entirely on what you are basing intelligence on. Humans? Not so much!
There are things living in the oceans that have been there for hundreds of thousands of years, and they are doing fine...so I'd have to think that they are very intelligent. They are surviving without issue...
Humans? Not so much.
Thus far, we have no conclusive proofs that anything is within reach of us here on the globe we inhabit. Our home, the milky way galaxy is a damned big place, filled with Billions and Billions of stars! Each one could have the potential of having an orbiting wet, warm, non lethal atmospheric rock spinning around it, with the possibility of some kind of life living on it. But what sort of life? It could much more intelligent than humans when it comes to survival, but could care less about titles, power, territory, wealth accumulation, appearance, beliefs, and all the stuff humans kill each other over. Why is it that everything else on the planet has to die or give up it's habitat to satisfy human need?
Human Beings are really the morons of the universe. We invest far too much time and energy into things that really are meaningless in the end.
We are told even the gods couldn't get even along, and battled it out for supremacy. Humans aren't gods, and we hate each other. Gods of man, have hissy fits of jealousy and then turn on each other as well? Doesn't spell much of chance in hell that we will fare much better does it?
I don't hold any hope that anything from someplace else will hazard a visit here if they are super intelligent beings of the cosmos.
Some idiot here would want to shoot one, just to see what it's guts looked like! You know, for "scientific advancement", that sort of bright thinking we're famous for...
I absolutely believe that the " Universal Intelligence of the Cosmos" has Highly Evolved Beings tapped into it, that are fully aware of us as a low class, low intelligence tenants living in isolation at the far edge of the Milky Way...where we were quarantined long ago on purpose. We're like a bunch of mangy, rabid dogs staked to the tree out in the back forty away from everything else, so that we don't infect everything else.
I haven't much use for what mankind has shown of himself thus far. I am tired of the egoism and self aggrandizing. All in all, we aren't very evolved at all. We just think we are...to that I say; Not so much!

Finally, if there is anything far superior to us nearby watching, I beseech you, for your own good; Stay the hell away from us, don't even consider us as pets!

Some people DO KNOW the truth, but I am not talking about bush or obama. They are just well groomed puppets and do as told!

this statement doesnt really say anything until you define what truth is....

I don't appreciate a few self-elected "elite" deciding who gets to live and who gets to die. For someone to become elite you must first prove your merit and they have done nothing to prove themselves.

who's done nothing to prove themselves...gimme a name.
who says you have to prove your merits, obviously this is untrue in your eyes.
why shouldn't the elite decide who lives and dies, they have the resources. Youcan hate em all you want but thats just basic cause and effect. I don't understand why you hate elite, they are doin the best they can under difficult circumstances. And you're feeding off their decisions and prosperity...kinda like....you know...a parasite?

I have already explained part of the truth in my first post. Your not interested in an honest discussion and that is fine but I why must I repeat myself again and again

Why do you think "the elite" are doing the best they can? It seems you hold a minority opinion on ATS and can find no evil despite the fact this site was and still is based on conspiracies.

And the feeding part is especially ridiculous! I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth. What little success I have in life, I MADE IT HAPPEN WITH HARD WORK AND SWEAT! I don't depend on my parents, friends or the government to hand me anything.

I am glad I DON"T live in haiti or afghanistan and wish things change for the better but I don't understand how the PTB are planning to change things.

Invading countries and prolonging wars certainly does not help.....

neither do I but thats not my point. My point is you live, i assume, in a country where people have a higher standard of living. You standard of living is residual from how rich and powerful people live. If you really hate the elite that much, and if you don't want to admit that they are responsible for much of our way of life, then try living in some 3rd world country. You won't have to deal with these "evil" elite anymore.

An intelligent species realizes how transitory life in general is and lives one day at a time, makes every day a party and doesn't worry about the continuation of the species.

But for some reason, in out arrogance we think we are special, when realistically, cosmologically speaking we are just dust in the wind.

edit to add topic....Perhaps some intelligent species Quarantined homosapians to this planet, never to leave because of our violent nature.

In my opinion, and heart, I think self sustainability for all individuals, perpetually for all off spring should be goal number one....

That goal pretty much clears up 90% of the other problems, as growing your own food, and having free energy would take care of health etc to large degree.

First we need spirituality, (not religion) to get rid of the greed that holds it all back in the first place I guess??

Society needs to look down on the super rich as immature loosers, instead of looking up to them as some goal to follow....

Keeping up with the Jones's is also quite immature and pointless.

These lifestyles that take away from everyone else should be seen for what they are.

If my aunt, dad, grand parents have millions and billions in a bank, and there are children starving somewhere, then they are disgusting in my eyes and should be ashamed of themselves, NONE of these people can call themseles spiritual!

I can understand not supporting lazy mooches on the one hand, but some people are in dire need of help, and it is NOT their fault, and they are NOT lazy mooches!

That attitude that "everyone should work for it" is BS too, the people who work the hardest have the least, and those with the most are just super greedy scammers.

They are a disgrace.

If everyone had their own plot of land, and worked for themselves, it would be up to each individual how much food etc they have, because they would plant their OWN.

then people could just enjoy each others company and hang out, instead of needing others for anything besides friendship etc...

Ohhhhhhhhhhh I could go on for hours, but I'll cut myself off for a bit.

When people say elite they don't necessarily mean the US Government, they mean every major and most minor foreign governments as well.

Just thought I clear that up for you. I don't want you falsely assuming anything! In fact the USA belongs to britain and the rich european banking families. Did you know that? Imperialism is not an american tradition, its a european tradition. Most of the wars are fought for them but america takes the blame because its easier for everyone to accept.

Now I believe we went off-topic somewhat when we were supposed to discuss space exploration and what an intelligent species should do, so lets go back on topic...

My personal understanding of an intelligent species is one that uses objective and logical thinking while maintaining a careful distance from the subjective. An intelligence striving to educate itself to the full understanding of creation not in religious terms but in terms that has everything to do with the origin of why the material that makes up everything is existent in the first place and also where did it come from, where it is going is the real deal.

A true intelligence in my mind would want to know how it came to be existent and what its purpose for being existent was and would never wish to use its brain power to subdue or exploit its environment but would wish to live with it because only the short term thinkers exploit and short term = lesser thinkers in my view.

We are not there yet because we as a species are happy to squirm around in our own waste. Landfills and pollution are grim testament to this. A high intelligence could not contend with living smeared in its own waste like we do as out of sight is not out of mind to a true intelligence – in my view.

My vision of a true intelligent species would be melded to altruism and would probably have aspirations that put aside what it is that distracts us here and now and would struggle instead with trying to determine where we as a species fitted into this cosmic jigsaw in terms of past present and future, materially and spiritually.

I could go on forever in this vein but I think the spiritual is as real as the physical and just because we cannot touch it with our nerves or see it with our eyes does not mean it is not as real as a thorn or a gecko.

A true intelligence would be as comfortable with the physical as it would be with the ethereal because knowledge is true power, and thus perhaps education in the “real” sense might be the path to true intellectual and spiritual enlightenment. When one can slip between the two realms of spirit and material by willing it then I think that may be a true evolutionary step that involves the mind rather than the body and could therefore be the real star/trans-dimensional gates.

To use these unseen realms one would need to be as familiar with the concept as a mechanic is familiar with an engine or an artist is familiar with his brush and the body would need to be as willing as the mind I would surmise because one may go without the other but could it exist permanently without the other?

That would take not only intelligence but education to this end. At least many of us are on the right path even if this path stretches thousands of years into the future – at least we are on it.

I rambled I know - sorry but my thoughts are often clearer than what can be transcribed via my laptop

Supposedly that was the reason for SDI? The chinnese/russian threat was either made up or exaggerated so that the USA could install a shield for various space threats.

So what makes you think that TPTB have not already done that? Perhaps they have spread to other planets and not bothered to tell us about it.

- This sounds like something I've thought about, trying to get a grasp on things as a 19-year-old. Sure we have way more problems but, an interesting thought nonetheless. It's going to be a brutal battle trying to get another form of energy out on the streets instead of the same old oil, so we can go in vast space.

I've also thought how slow we're going, and our population is getting pretty immense for Earth, I think. There are people I think who really don't trust in the next generation to carry on and some people think a mechanized system will be in charge of everything in the future.

But as a species, our main goal should be making ourselves a better species, an intelligent species that is. If we weren't so focused on bashing each other on the head we would be light years ahead in overall technology instead of money being spent mostly on military weapons and such to exterminate our own people. What's ironic, as time goes on, and there are more people in the world, more people get killed as well, kind of like cancelling out some kind of population overload unintentionally (maybe).

I'm just trying to grasp on to many concepts that I've been reading lately and thought of myself, and realize people really lost the sense of real "human potential" is, especially in a world full of materialism, drug chaining, even corrupt, gambling, mistress-having leaders, in a nation that was warned by wise presidents about the powers that be. In this case...such brain boggling, psychological impacts have really hit people, where they don't focus about the big picture and big things in life, including human potential, and become selfish, while also letting whatever number of the 7 deadly sins cloud their reality (not judgment, reality is more concrete, judgment is a guess, and judgment can cloud reality). It's okay to be selfish at times, but what's the point when you don't know your role in society and your self-actualization goes into obscurity, since in the end, you may notice you didn't even live up to your full potential.

Enough rambling now. Nice post.

To discover the truth. Everything else would just fall in line and make sense, if we new what the truth was. That is why organized religion and authority exist in their form as we know them, to keep us from seeking the truth. No need to think about these types of questions when someone thousands of years ago was given all of the answers by god. Don't question your preachers, doctors, judges, etc because you already know that they are so much smarter than you are!

The main goal of an intelligent species is simple: the preservation of the eco-sphere. Everything that comes after this fact could be considered trivial when stood up against this point.

SURVIVAL!!!!!!

We need to kill the whales and the save the whales mindset. It is only by the destruction of the natural checks and balances that mankind will gain the technology to truly master their environment.

It is not by the principals of humanity that man lives but solely by means of our most brutal struggles.

All of the Earth should be put to use for the single purpose of supporting human life. A population exceeding one trillion should be sought. Envision a planet wide city and all the technology needed to sustain a working environment. A place where every natural system crucial to survival has been mastered and is completely managed. A place that would demand resources even beyond those found in all of our solar system, thereby pushing mankind to the stars and in turn making us masters of space and time.

The human species has only one shot at survival and, it is all about technology. The technology to completely manage the natural systems that we depend on (Weather, Atmosphere, Oceans etc etc etc).

That said we will be lucky to survive another 5,000 years. The save the whales mindset has likely already doomed us. To argue that the natural environment will see us through millennium is to argue that by placing a gun in your mouth and pulling the trigger one might survive so long as the primer did not ignite. Of course we need our current ecosystems, but they will let us down without question. The only real option is one of complete control. And hey, what if by humankinds survival the species of today found a vector for long term survival? Albeit in zoos or species collections.

The human species could be masters of the universe if we played our cards right. The documentary The Privileged Planet veehd.com... goes a long way to explain why we are uniquely setup to achieve this goal.
