Don't run away, stay and fight.

Sooner or later we won't have anywhere left to flee to, and that's what it will come down to. I wish more Americans would take a stand and petition the government to do something but I tried that approach and they pretty much ignore you or give you a stock response that barely addresses your complaints.

I have been involved against illegal immigration and pushing for tougher border security since 2003 and I have yet to see any sign that we are winning.

What kind of border security are you looking for?

Who are you trying to keep out?

You were raised in Los Angeles, correct? So you must have seen a lot of drug trades and violence. A lot of this violence derived from Mexico. Which is why a lot of people left, to try and make a better life here.

But a big part of those people do not lead a better life here, but instead they live like they used to in Mexico, bringing its problems with them. That is unacceptable.

I have a question?

Why are posts like this even on ATS?

I don't see the importance of a topic like this being on here. This post is expressing a single individuals political point of view on a single topic.

This site was created and meant for much more than this.

I don't really think there is a shortage of ATS worthy stories - to allow a post and many of them like this one to fill the spaces in between.

I think this site needs to increase moderation and lay out some kind of guideline of posts to maintain the integrity, purpose and validity of this website.

whatever the original intentions were - I for one am grateful for threads like this

sorta :-)

have you read through this thing? criminetlies...

this is real - and these people are angry

angry, self congratulatory - definitely not racist

(but bigoted...?)

that's what posts like yours do - bring about some balance

it's a little intimidating - I know - this boat does seem to be listing mostly to one side

I'm waiting to see how far it can lean and still remain upright

:-)

See, that's the funny part. Because if everyone was serious about keeping illegals out, they would be calling for the US to protect the borders(plural) and not just the Southern border.

Yes, I know more illegals come in through S border. But is this about stopping just the Hispanic illegals or all illegals from coming into the US?

Furthermore, we would be advocating more security in our ports and waterways.

Finally, the US visa system. 40-50 percent of all illegals come in legally and overstay their visas(9-11 hijackers).

Now look at your quote above and tell me which border(singular) you are talking about.

This is the "I'm disgruntled because I suck at life and I want to blame the Mexicans for it" thread. If the borders were closed today and all the illegals were sent home , guess what?... your life would still suck. Go find another dog to kick.

It's funny how I never hear anyone making six figures and up complaining about illegals.... Stop for a second and think about that.

Sincerely , EWS

No... people who are making six figures are complaining that they don't have seven.

Of course I meant all the ways illegals are using. I am sure that with a little will it could be done, many developed countries can protect their "access points" and dont have this problem.

But the political will is not there, and I believe that is exactly what TPTB want...

Here are just some of many examples of how illegal immigration affects Americans. If you see this video, you will clearly see just some of the reasons why some of us are against illegal immigration.

I don't know if the numbers are correct or not. The point is that many are dying because our laws were not enforced.

The ones making six figures and above are the ones harboring them in their homes... yea that's right consuelo is raising those kids. The parents are too busy for them so they hire cheap cheap labor. Mexicans are the well to do's modern day oompaloompas. If all the illegals left there would be plenty of work for college students, the unemployed, and everyone desiring to earn their stripes in the working world. You see, these jobs that people like you refer to as too taboo for Americans should be reserved for our youth and any other citizen who maybe just had a rough year and needs to make some quick HONEST money. Unions could be formed requiring citizenship to hold even the humblest of jobs. Immigration laws were instilled to subvert the sorry conditions of any metropolis against ANY ILLEGAL RACE. Mexicans and the rest of those countries down there just happen to be F-IN UP too much for our comfort. So who really are the ignorant ones? If you subscribe to the notion that any legal citizen or dare I say AMERICAN is immune from the very same compulsions that drive the mexican people to work "those jobs", then you are sadly mistaken! You are implying that Americans do not feel hunger, injustice, abuse, or the will to better themselves. You're obtuse thinking is dangerous to a nation. It's just that we as LEGAL AMERICANS have at least 1 person in our family who have served and/or died in wars to ensure the safety and liberty of our crumbling nation.

S&F for post. I live near MacArthur Park in Los Angeles. I was shook up earlier this month when I learned that Medi-Cal (medicaid) will no longer cover eligible prescription co-pays, which they always had. It's not the co-pays which disturb me...it is the fact that Medi-Cal can't take care of senior and disabled legal Californians because each and every immigrant child is fully covered by Medi-Cal.

And the gripes about rubber bullets...jeez, we shot our own with live ammo at Kent State. If they would stop attacking and running at LAPD officers, then they wouldn't have to deal with batons, shields and rubber bullets. My opinion only...

I know this is going to get ignored as my last post but here it goes:

They run to the US because they think they'll have it better. But they don't. Why? Because the same people that control the US control Mexico. People with money.
They try to find jobs here in Mexico and they get low wages. They go to the US they get the same crap. People with money and power abuse the people they rule to get more money and more power.

So here's what I've heard when I lived in the US and met people that jump the border.

"I THOUGHT IT WAS LIKE THE MOVIES."

Gimme a break... how brainwashed can you get?

So, here's the real mind trip: How do you control people?

A) Create a problem and promise a solution?
B) Create a necessity and promise deliverance.
C) Cripple the people and take what you think is yours?
D) All of the above.

I can't believe I always hear the same rant over and over.

"I can't stand these Mexicans here."
"Why don't they go back to Mexico?"

I laugh my butt off every time I hear this. For the few US citizens like myself that have seen both sides of the coin, you start seeing a pattern.

Middle class pissed off at the low class and the high class taking advantage of that.

Here in Mexico, where I currently live, people with money use the middle class' urge to get to the top to manipulate and use them for their own benefit. And the low class as grunt work.

We got smarts and we got muscle, we'll be the brain thank you...

So, it's a matter of social class not race or nationality. Look outside the problem you THINK it is.

And another thing... I've traveled to the US with my Mexican friends and they get confused with US citizens. Funny, it's only the brown indian looking Mexicans that get the crap.

Just food for thought

That is a point I have been trying to make in similar threads where people would rather call me names than to see the truth. Of course there are cut-backs. How else could we afford to cater to so many illegals? Same reason we are losing hospitals. We are called racist because our citizens are treated as less than the illegals. We have many lost lives due to illegals and that's ok. They think we don't realize that there are some good people who come here illegally. The thing is: By allowing illegals in, we are also letting in the gang members and rapist and whatever other bad people there are that are coming through. This may be acceptable to some people, but it isn't for me. Citizens first!

If they come here legally, we do background checks and don't let in just anyone. You are the one who is lame for not understanding common sense. Obviously no murders are ok !

Doesn't take an illegal to become a gang member or rapist etc. Bad people come from all walks of life.

Just for example, 19 hijackers took out about 3,000 Americans in one day and they were here legally.

Personally, I won't call you names. I understand your frustration. IMO, politicians should address the issue. But the truth is that our government want illegals here.

lame

what do you really mean for us to take away from that video?

try and refrain from resorting to the smarty-pants emoticon - and use real words
