Ok, Im pretty sure that this was not a rocket... and I will explain my position.

The main reason that I do not believe that it was a rocket, was because of how the "Exhaust" is illuminated.

Check this video...



This is a night launch of the NASA sts-126 mission.

As you can see... the "Vapor Trail" was not luminescent... as it shouln't be... rocket exhaust is chemically spent, and practically inert for the purposes of illumnation.

So, we must presume that the "Vapor Trail" in the "Spiral Video" is being illuminated by the Rocket Flame (Or ice crystals being mixed with the vapor, and illuminated by the engine.)

As you can see... halfway through the video, the "Engine" light suddenly cuts out, and it takes the luminescence a few seconds to disperse...

Where if the illumination was being provided by the Rocket Flame, then it would go dark the moment that the engine cut out.

Secondly, Combustion Contrails do not "Move" significantly, and they would not "Spiral" in this pattern (I mean the spiral itself appears to be rotating clockwise)

In the case of a spiraling Rocket, the Contrail would remain relatively stationary, while the rocket itself moved in a spiral pattern.


My estimation, is that this is a POWERFUL projector (Like at the cinema, only MUCH more powerful) and it is projecting an image on the clouds.

The "Blue Beam" would be the actual projector beam, and it "Spirals" because it is displaying a spiral image.

While I believe firmly that it was a rocket, it is kind of a funny coincidence that I was researching wormholes and faster-than-light travel for a physics paper, and came across this story completely by accident on another website I frequent (that has nothing to do with paranormal stuff.)

I think some people are confused as to how it can be a rocket, so I thought of a good analogy. Don't think of the propulsion "end" of the rocket.

Think of something like a can of spray paint .... pretend the cap is the nose of the rocket and the base is the engines. As the can moves through space, it rotates on it's long axis (from cap to base). Now turn on the spray. If the can's cap was coming directly at you, or at a close enough angle, you would see exactly what is happening in these pictures as it rotates.

The problem I am having with this explanation is how did it stay so perfect for so long? Was in the type of chemicals released (that in the cold air stayed aloft longer like contrails can depending on weather conditions)? It's plausible that the gray color and even it's visibility was only due to the remaining fuel being burned by the rocket (also would explain why it suddenly goes dark - fuel/light source runs out).

I'd like to believe some of the more fringe theories that are on this thread, but at least in my head, the above makes the most sense.

All of you that think it is a rocket should check out the videos . It is to perfect of a spiral and last way to long . The funny thing is i say the video on FOX news and immediately thought to check on here to see what every one is saying. To think that people on ATS are agreeing that it is a rocket . Where is the conspiracy?????????

We don't really know how long the effect held but being outside of the atmosphere it could last a while.

So many people saying its a rocket. Can you really tell it is? NO!
So many people talking about russia, they havent confirmed or declined anything.

The only source that is more or less relaible at this very moment is the swedish and norwegian papers.

No source in russia is belivable. Or in any other part of the world.

Not a single rocket, or similar has ever been launched in my country, sweden, or in norway that looks like this.

Exactly and Ill say it again, its a freaking mini spiral galaxy that was created by the LHD, this thing will pop up and dissipate as it grows indefinitely.

I registered on here long ago. I think during the initial swine flu outbreak. I haven't had much cause to post since, but this really has my attention. I've looked into projects like HAARP of which I was previously uninformed, and I can see the reason for not only so many theories, but the general disinterest in accepting such a simple explanation.

As a friend stated to me, the pictures are high quality and nearly high definition. If this were sinister or unexplainable, they would be fuzzy and out of focus. I thought this was funny.

The biggest question that I have, and in the last 30+ pages I have barely seen it touched on, is as follows:

If it wasn't simply explainable, would President Obama have left without delay or any indication of concern by him, NORAD, or any other PTB, as he did last evening?

Moreover, If this was just a test, isn't there any concern that there is definitive knowledge (evidenced by such a test) that a Typhoon Class (as mentioned was the only class sub capable of firing a Bulova Missile) Ballistic Missile Sub taking part in missile tests in what I would imagine would be close proximity to a potential flight path taken by AF1?

I'm new to a lot of this, but letting an insane couple into the white house is an accident. Flying the president's plane across a nuclear missile test range is insane.

Finally, we have no electromagnetic interference to suggest any nuclear detonation correct? And would a test of a missile include detonation of a warhead, or just the missile launch?

Ok, what I see is a clockwise blue spiral leading up to the larger spiral that is going in the opposite direction, counter clockwise.

What I also see is a continuation of the spiral to the right side, but it doesn't continue on, say the left side. So, it's like the whole thing isn't illuminated. I don't know if it is a projected image, but we aren't seeing the whole thing, apparently.

Again, look at the blue spiral, it looks to be clockwise, while the large spiral is counter-clockwise. That is quite odd.

My husband said he has seen this type of phenomenon before, and that it's an atmospheric thing with the moon, clouds and bariatric pressure having to be in just the right alignment for this to happen.

Good thing they (Norwgian military) had the radio tuned in to 518 on the ol' dial. Dont want any ballistic missile blasting out of the water near any Norwegian fishing trawler without getting the warning about it on NAVTEX! I'll have to keep it tuned to 518Khz running Miltipsk into my soundcard so I can hear the next one..

They really have to get this new missile problem figured out pretty soon.
