So... Where's God, Allah, etc? Why doesn't Satan get a wild hair and perform a few miracles- make God look bad? *listens to crickets*
Also, by your line of thinking, me asking God for a million dollars, a house on the beach, women, fame, power, etc...... All these things should be granted to me, because I believe unquestionably so.
.
But you know what? I have never asked for any of those things. Not because I don't want them, but because I know it's wrong and selfish
If I did ask for them, I don't think they would be granted,
nor would I be praying for the right reasons.
Instead I pray for forgivness for my wrongdoings,
be with, the hurting, toh me in all things, for Him to comfort the suffering, to help the starving
and also the strength to soldier on in my faith while I am beset by doubt and trouble on all sides, and last but not least, I pray that He knows I don't expect Him to bend to my will, but to know that I will gladly bend to His. Basically, I pray that He will be my God and I will be His people.

A lifetime is what on average...50 to 70 years? How long is infinity?

As to the poster above this is where I will hang my hat on this topic. I'm sick of arguing it.

There is no winning. Either those will believe or not.

I live with a severe disability caused by a traumatic injury.
For the first three years I could see no purpose for it...
...it seemed like everything I worked years toward was futile.
Then my partner was diagnosed with a medically incurable disease...
...and was given four months...
...and because I was unable to work I focused all my attention on understanding the condition and the range of medical protocols and alternative modalities that could manage or cure it.
Six years later my partner is in remission by all objective criteria...
...without resorting to solutions from Pharma.
We have a saying...nothing every happens to us only ever for us.
I love my disability.
That is simply your crutch. A faith that you are disabled for a reason larger than life. It's how you cope, a coping method and nothing more. Nice that you believe 27,000 children starve to death everyday is a gift from god to them. amazing.
Where did I mention God, religion or faith?
Call it Cognitive Dissonance if you must...
...but I still have a healthy partner who is alive...
...and did not become a victim of western medicine.
And I think I just refuted your OP.

Yet if we do not believe in him and follow his teachings we burn in hell for all eternity? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I'm aware of the deep meaning of it, however, it still baffles me. Say an African tribe member dies, does he go to hell? He's completely unaware of Christianity as a whole, and has not had any formal teaching or even the opportunity to learn about Jesus.

Because, like I said many many times, religious beliefs are preventing this world from advancing, ESPECIALLY when its comes to things like amputee regrowth,

I'll answer that one: God's entire reputation and existence is hanging on how these "Christians" act,
