Hm. Yeah. Because Psychiatrists go all hell bent and commit mass murder all the time. It must be that he's a mental health worker, and the Islam thing is just a red herring.

That's an irrational argument. Just because you're a psychiatrist doesn't make you a master of the Vulcan mind-meld, so to speak. Psychiatrists are still human. For all we know the guy is supposed to be on medication and hasn't taken it in a while which could have led to his psychotic episode. Also, read the statement from the Islamic Council in this story - they have openly criticized this act.

They aren't all Muslims. They can lie even. I doubt they are in this case, but they sure don't speak for everyone.

There are various groups, and the local ones that will love this won't be putting out immediate press releases. That doesn't mean they aren't around and don't have sway in their community.

I'm shocked that the shooter was a Major. When they at first said that the main shooter was an Officer, I figured maybe an Lt., but a Major? That's an Upper Mid-Level Officer.

Its just a guess, but given that he was a medical professional, my guess is that he received an advanced rank due to his specialty. We'll have to wait for more background, but I would not be surprised if he were not a long-time military member but had entered fairly recently.

For whatever reason or reasons people have died due to this tragedy, my thoughts are with their families and the families of those who were wounded.

There are so many aspects of the news being reported that set off my alarm bells and BS meter, but at this moment in time, that is not important.

Spiritual support, prayers for the injured and a wish for the end of hate and murder in the world is what is important.

Respects

You see no use in profiling?

Really?

Hey, if folks who wear silver-thread short pants, black wife-beater T-shirt, wrap turpentine rags around their ankles, shave their heads, and wear purple hats are conducting the bulk of these attacks, then I'm damned certain going to be looking for those wearing silver-thread short pants, black wife-beater T-shirt, turpentine rags around their ankles, shave their heads, and wear purple hats.

To do otherwise is just outright stupid.

To NOT profile just flies in the face of common sense.

Wow

If there are four shooters then this most certainly was planned in advance and doesn't seem to be something we can just chalk up to someone "snapping".

Must be the conspiracy theorist in me that is screaming something big has just occurred. By that I mean, as horrible as this act was, there SEEMS to be more to it than just some guys getting all kooky and murdering innocent people.

I was under the same impression but never having served I could well be wrong. I thought that if you entered the Army with a professional degree and used that degree in your Army profession that you entered as an officer.

did anyone else just see wolf blitzer call out the website they found that had his name on it, it was a medical school, and he lives in the town or something and he said he has never heard of it. so did whoever was on screen with him.

i wonder why/how they have a website of a school, that two people said on tv they dont exist...did MSM fact checkers not think this threw...and Wolf slipped?

that is wildly speculative, and if i find the clip i'll show it asap. but maybe? who knows.

I see the media is doing a fine job of whipping everyone up into a hateful, frothing frenzy.

Started with a sniper and a high-powered sniper rifle. To 2 gunmen, then to 3 gunmen.. to 1 dead and the other 2 in custody, to 1 dead and the other 2 "escaped".

Nevermind the facts, just make sure to run the Muslim extremist flag as high as you can, get the most ratings and advance the agendas.

I read on Stratfor recently, that a senior AQ member posted on discussion boards a call to action by all jihadists, calling for small attacks by all available means (guns and even clubs were mentioned).

It might have just worked

It's not the first time such attack happened in the Army, though.

If this name is correct of the shooter, Malik Nadal Hasan. He possibly didn't want to be deployed because of how the people of Iraq and Afghanistan would treat him. I could only imagine how afraid he could have been. To know that he had to go, and there was no way out of it.

I'm getting this sick feeling in my stomach...you know where the intuition is LOL....but I get this feeling that there aren't just 3 shooters...not four...I get the sadly nauseous feeling that there are many...and not just at Ft. Hood...we just don't know it yet

It would not surprise me at all if this was an inside job done by the criminal organization we call the U.S. military.....

KARMA anyone??

OMFG!

IMHO, some of you folks ought to at least let the gun barrels cool down before you start trashing soldiers in general. Or muslims in general for that matter.

Yeah, KARMA'S a bitch. Keep that firmly in mind, and drive on.
