I don't know how the school system works in Colorado, but they may be on a Fall Break. Some school districts do such a thing.

its already been mentioned and confirmed by the police spokesperson that his school was closed today

BNO just reported that police are investigating whether he fell out prior to landing...

there is no kid. There was no one in the balloon. The story is now that the 6 year released the balloon, but was never in it.

read above they said he might have never been in it to begin with

This is quite possibly the most surreal thing i have ever witnessed!

Current report states the rescue crews found the compartment door sealed, which means it is highly likely he never got in it.
