6 Year Old Floating Over Colorado In Experimental Craft (balloon like flying saucer)*FOUND*

I am wondering if they had this balloon set up as a Halloween display?

Where in God's name is the kid??????

WifeSwap is a TV Reality show where two families trade the Female Parental Units for a week or so and it's all filmed.

That's kinda the first thing that came to mind for me too. Gods, i hope that is the case. It's wierd the poster above said the door was sealed, CNN's website was reporting it was open...

Margie Martinez of the Weld County Sheriff's Office said a sibling saw Falcon Heene climb into the basket before the balloon took off from his parents' home.

Because the door on the balloon was unlocked, it's possible the boy had fallen out, Martinez said.

The new reports are the craft landed... But the boy was no where to be found. I sure hope he is ok. I pray he is hiding under his bed or atleast stuck in a tree somewhere. This could be very bad...

That could be (and makes sense), since the door the the balloon was supposedly sealed.

Its a cover up story there were real Aliens on board.

They think the boy might have fallen off. They are checking the 911 calls somebody might have saw something and reported it.

I don’t think the kid made it! We won’t know until the family is notified, but after the cops had deflated the balloon and did not remove anyone, the guy who was filming said to the copter pilot “let’s go and look for it", the camera man said "OH!", after some response he got! The just kept filming after that.

I can hear the conspiracy theories now.

OMG! OMG! Alien 8 year old in flying saucer escapes from family. When the craft was finally on ground, the 8 year old was missing from saucer. According to the authorities, the parents contacted the mother ship to make a rescue attempt. While the saucer was in flight, the 8 year old was beamed off of the saucer. OMG! OMG! Watch news at eleven for full details.

I hope the kid didn't fall out. That would be a very-very sad tragedy.

We may need to pause & reflect for a moment or two. If it wasn't a hoax the parents are facing an unimaginable nightmare & this whole fiasco suddenly becomes an appalling tragic accident.

Why am I not surprised that the media industry is on the periphery of this story....

I wonder how the show ratings will fare after this??

I would rather this be a hoax and the kid be OK, but the whole ordeal speaks volumes about the media (such as it is.)

We were fixed on second-by-second reports, knowing no details, and riding on media speculation the whole way through....

Somethings just seem peculiar about this whole 'Wifeswap' show angle.

I don't think the kid was ever in the balloon. Its way too small to carry anyone, even a 6 year old.

You would need approximately 3,235 helium filled party sized balloons if you were 100 lbs to make yourself airborn. So say the kid was 50 lbs. You would need over 1600 helium filled party sized balloons to lift the kid off the ground even a little bit.

It looks like based on the size of this thing it was at most maybe equal to 800 to 1000 party balloons. Not enough lift to carry a child.

My take on this is the kid accidently released the balloon in his back yard and got scared that he was going to get in trouble with his father so he hid somewhere. I guess we will find out soon enough.

Dear God, I hope he is alright! I can imagine what they must be going through. It was just my perception while watching the live feed. It doesn’t mean anything.

The kid is most likely hiding. He figures he's in for some trouble.

Interesting that all of this starts while CNN, MSNBC and FOX had been covering Obama's New Orleans visit.

Apparently even a Nobel Peace Prize winner can be interrupted by a ballon, eventually revealed to be derelict.
