The people are so bogged down by materialism that they can't even see a step in front of them.

The reason all of the problems in the world come down to the blaming of America is because the leaders of America are Ponzi Schemers.

It's really that simple, and if you don't see that, then you are in denial.

America has been in EVERY conflict the world has EVER had in the past 50 years. This should tell you something.

We voted Obama in.

Politically, Obama's not a big influence. He said what he wanted and what he thought Americans wanted. And he's pushing for it. The divisive politics of emotional influences are a big issue.

The GOP is pushing fear of external control instead of pushing for reasoned solutions; and they have Dem supporters, so they should be able to get some of those solutions in to the bills. The Dems are alternating between dictatorial threats ("We'll pass this without GOP input.") and calls for bi-partisan actions. Both sides are tending toward exclusivity - the Dems demanding limits on insurance providers, the GOP against same, for example.

The net result is a near deadlock as far as final passage goes. The vocal minorities and lobbyists aren't helping.

i had mine 4 weeks ago, so did my wife and our 2 kids. we also had the seasonal flu shot. let me check our pulses...nope we arent dead.

Yes, America is responsible for peddling influence, especially when it gets caught. But America is not responsible for dictators oppressing their own people; not responsible for Zionism; and not responsible for the hatred due to many "first causes".

Yes, America is home to weapons producers, but so are European and Asiatic countries. Yes, America has attempted to meddle in wars; but so have other countries unaffected directly by those conflicts. America is just the most obvious (and sometimes the most blatant).

Yes, I am so sure that the majority of people who pay attention to that stuff thinks about it 100% of the time. Sure there are a small handful that become OCD about those things, but not many. For most its just a reprieve from whats going on the world. Something to take your mind off whats going on for just an hour or so, so we don't get over whelmed. I'll give you credit when it comes to the people how think nothing more than when they'll get their next fix. I don't watch T.V. or get involved in sports but I use video games as an escape but that doesn't mean I'm consumed with it and think of nothing else. I know plenty of american idol fans who are awake. It just gives them something to do.

I fear ATS is becoming a haven for the unemployable, angry loners, miscreants and malcontents. Threads like these are becoming more the norm and less the exception. If you have the time to spend all day on the internet you may want to find something a little more productive to do. Spewing impotent rage at the system is all well and good. Questions stopped being asked, even when the laws of physics were broken blatantly on worldwide television,
the majority of the masses, may have cocked their heads and knew what they were seeing was impossible to be physically happening, the sensational coverage and following lies were so well placed and repeated,
the info was sucked up like water into the sponge heads and accepted as fact,
but then its hard to access the control centers, the media broadcast stages and the air waves to launch a truth campaign, its hard to access the schools and the text books and the new crop of childrens minds, its hard to access the government whether local or state ,
its hard because people gave up, they gave up to distraction, to greed, to entitlement, to the couch, to the escape,
I kind of agree with this post, I dont like that I feel this way, but the truth is, we as a people as a nation, did this to ourselves as a whole.
We've HAD and STILL HAVE access to eachother, our families, friends, co workers everyday and we need to talk, open up, share, educate,
sure some people wont ever GET IT, but my experience has been more HAVE been GETTING IT.

I think the main mental enemies that are stopping the masses from realizing and accepting the truth and creating a revolution against the govt,politicians,elite, is ignorance, apathy, fear, and overpride of ones country. People are unaware of what the real world is because of all the programming and brainwashing given to us unintentionally by our parents and the fact that most americans are too trusting of the government and schools and etc. The over pridness of americans where some people go to the point of degrading and insulting other countries and think that america is perfect or can do no wrong also helps this. Apathy is a part of our downfall cause most americans are too busy doing things that in true reality are not important, one example is takig the kids to school to learn a bunch of useless things, not that they are truely useless such as how to build houses and stuff, but that there are things that kids should really be learning that are more important than that. Fear keeps people quiet and submissive and such, examples of fear applied to us daily is that of prison, persecution and humiliation of being put down by the ignorant ones and etc. Fear of death is also a factor. Its not that you should want death, but you shouldnt fear it.

The false teachings of the church and education system is also a large factor in most of the population not waking up if I havent mentioned that already. Many people in america, if not all around the world, are submitting to become human robots, which is a very foolish thing to do. But hey, there ignorant and no no better, you can compare the masses to children who know no better than to follow those around them. Just because the majority is doing something doesnt make it right. People are are also too obsessed with their ego that their blindness is amplified. People are so busy fitting in and such and having senseless conflicts with each other that they dont bother to take the time to see what they are doing, what the real world around them is, and what is right and what is wrong, which is in itself a form of apathy to reality. A part of me hates humanity for not being able to detect the obvious corruption and backwards society in america and stuff that are just right under there noses and staring them in the face. Another part of me actually feels sorry and pitiful for the masses in that my own people who if they wanted to can be very smart and informed and such and return to our true nature which is being loving and caring sentient beings of this beautiful planet that we call earth, but instead are brainwashed and programed and contaminated by a bunch of barbaric ignorant animals that is comparable to negativity in human form into themselves being nasty ignorant apathetic barbaric animals who cant remember who they are and what they are capable of.

Most people in america, no, the world are basically slaves who think there free. But I still have hope for humanity, the only problem is that the time when humanity wakes up if its not motivated enough to wake up now or soon, is that they will wake up when it is near too late or already too late. I yearn for the day when we will be free of this negative, manipulative, and barbaric control where we will all be free and realize that we are fellow brothers and sisters in the great race that is called humanity, and that our pontential to do great things is unlimited and such where we can all shout out the once proud saying of MLK that is "free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, we are free at last." Love, peace, and wisdom to all.

Such a simple solution. Leave and go live in another country. Perhaps you could choose a neutral country like New Zealand, South Africa or Singapore? You have lost faith in your native country, so maybe it is time to consider a move? Nothing wrong with it. And hey, you will have greater freedom of speech to demonise your native country without fear of a visit form the Secret Service.

It's very easy to bitch and complain, but it's actually harder and takes more self-determination to try and change things. I still find it amazing how people can make threads with the theme "America Sucks" and automatically receive 50+ stars and flags.
