I am always looking over their shoulder... even when they are filming things like the stealth hydrofoil 'Sea Shadow' for declassification

Nice thread, another head scratcher though...\.
.
From my 15 mins looking into this... my opinion would be, an educated man with a crazy way of expressing himself/artwork or beliefs.
.
I hope the story goes deeper than that??
.
Interesting is that his father "Robert F. Heizer" was an archeologist.
and
They (Michael & father) practiced "Double Negative" (a 1970 catchall term)

It is a formal exploration of the relationships between positive and negative forms, and what happens aesthetically when one displaces the other.

This is an extension of Heizer's early painting and ideas, influenced by the Abstract Expressionists of the late 1940s-1950s. Bill Fox, in Mapping the Empty, suggests that the visitor to Double Negative is deliberately displaced physically and psychologically, "a temporal equivalent to the spatial [displacements] of the sculpture itself."

.
But......

according to the NYTM article, "anyone trying to show up uninvited will be arrested for trespassing or shot at."

A DUMB FEMA camp? I don't know much at all about where the FEMA camps are in Nevada. I live here, I should know but I don't. They are going to need someplace to put all those people that won't take the vaccine and those that are rioting when the Fed crashes the economy.

Just throwing things out there and seeing if anything sticks to the wall.

This is a good way to use the tailings from an obviously extensive mining operation to misdirect attention.

Great thread again Zorgon you are on fire latley, my opinion would be that there is a lot more to this than meets the eye. Where elase in the world are large scale installations that cannot be stolen so well protected
I smell an underground base or perhaps a toxic waste dump dressed up as art.

I checked out this artists named Michael Heizer, he has an interesting past and an interesting family background. His father Robert Fleming Heizer, one of the most prominent anthropologists of his time. I did some research on Robert Heizer and he loved researching ancient indigenous people of the americas and also the Pyramids of Egypt. From what little I can gather from his writings and such, he seems to be in the camp where our history of events concerning this continent is vastly different than what he is coming up with along with his students. He believes that the Indians/ancient civilizations of america where more advanced and extended out further in space and in time than what others think.

well, my first thought was it could be michael jackons grave

but i digress

lol

mmmm... only logical explanation i can come up with is its designed to see what these shapes would look like from space, ala the cities on mars ... to see if rough shapes can equal a city when seen from space

the answer would be yes, looking at this from google earth. the bad part would be that both were built by someone

Here's another question that should be asked:

If this guy is so secretive that he doesn't want anyone to see it until it's finished, to the point where people will be shot at or arrested for trespassing, than why is he posting pictures of it half completed.

There are a lot of things that don't add up here.

Michael Heizer is also associated with Daniel Libeskind, both have imput with the new WTC complex,(and the formerly named Freedom Tower)

Good question....... Maybe, his goal of posting pictures of it unfinished is the same reason that there is a trailer/preview before a movie release date? (creating a buzz?) 'just thinking random here'.
.
As for getting arrested or shot, its either paranoia or consealing secrecy?
-If you got caught spying on Edward Leedskalnin as he was building the
Coral Castle, all he would do was stop working untill you left.

This will be a very expensive and exclusive golf course. The so called farmer ranch is growing grass that will be harvested for the course. We should start seeing the course being greened up here shortly in the near future..

Idk if its an instillation...... i mean, y disguise it as art at all???
Y not just make it an instillation with highly restricted access like they do everything else????

To me it looks like a leg for a planned large robot type sculpture. His intentions may be to build a huge magnificent robot that appears to be trekking across the desert from above.

You can clearly see that he has fit the leg down below a huge expanse of clear area will he will most likely be using to place the finer details and rest of the body.

Look up and left of the design in Google Earth. See that big open area for the rest of the sculpture to fit in? Obviously planned well ahead. Final details secret but this is my guess.

Didnt read all before my post but my guess is that as water runs off in the spring it will fill low areas creating designs with water and the farm is growing vegitation which will be used to plant higher elevations of the design with greenery. The farm is just for supplying the plant materialsof the design. Then theres the part that has a type of observatory using the suns position to cast shadows for something. It is definately designed for a particular time of the year.

From the skeptic view, it's such an expensive and weird kind of art, i like it.
Frm the believer point of view, what's more trustful that hiding our base disguising it as an art installation!!! I think is a valid way of thinking.

one way or another, if by any chance our civilization suddenly disappears, it will be a great enigma for those that discover them in the future, as Nazca lines or so..

It's common for artists to not exhibit their work until it's finished.

RE: Trespassing. I guess the artist has the daft idea that some gun-owning wackos might try and use his work as a vehicle to realize their desire to attack a supposed malevolent instillation. If i was him and i saw this thread i'd move my family off the farm and hire security straight away.

ATS provides a useful alternative to mainstream news. However, this thread does not add up at all - it suggests there's not a lot of news out there right now.

Edited to add: No offense kyleplatinum - not singling you out, i think the whole thread is hilarious, if a little disturbing in a 'witch-hunt' kind of way.
