Actually. Most of your responses have been buttsore whining about a beef generated from another thread. And the continuation of said boresoreness.

The only one of us that has any problem with the other is you. And it shows.

I do appreciate that you bumped a thread I particularly liked to do it.

The topic as lifted from the OP:

Seriously, you believe you "know" something. But none of us truly "know" anything. And it is when we delude ourselves into believing and stop questioning something that we believe we know anything. Think of everything that mankind has convinced himself that he "knew" through out history. How much of that has been proven incorrect? How can you justify believing yourself somehow better than they? Are you somhow less failable and beyond them? Our senses can be tricked. And we can trick ourselves and if we let them others can trick us.

Please direct your comments to it rather than staff actions and allegations related to them.

Further derailments will be removed.

Thank you.

It disturbs my belief in humanity that you don't understand that I am trying to discuss that 'true scepticism' cannot exist - and it seems that you considering my opinions to be whining rather than philosophical musings. Funny, that's how I see yours too

No love lost though, I think you're an alright member with plenty to share it just seems on this particular topic of 'not-knowing' that we disagree, seemingly equally, on the subject.

[snip]

To those who wonder I say apply a sceptical mind.

I read this article once that shed much light on how much people who are paid to know actually know.

I remember reading about this general in the US army who said that the army itself is so big that it is impossible for one man to know everything. A briefing for let us say 1% of the information flow would take about 1 day to complete.

So that is why you get organization within each other. They each hold some sort of information. IE. Intel about the terrorists within the US, assassination attempts, and etc.

So when people say the elite know everything, they are wrong. Their people have people who know people who know very little.

If you have awakened, you know that you know everything. You know that you are everything. It is then that science and philosophy become the comedy channel. Namaste

How do you know you have not just awoken into another dream? :p Seriously though I find it funny that people thinks confidence trumps all and if they are confident about something it MUST be true. Doesn't occur to them that those who disagree maybe equally confident?

The confidence that you suggest is merely intention which will turn to manifestation in one's reality.

No. The confidence I mention is the under current of your statements. To refer to one's self as "awake" while others are "asleep" denotes any number of uncongratulatory things about the speaker, psychologically speaking. In using such self congratulatory terms one shows just how much of that confidence is hot air. Otherwise such terms would not be needed or even avoided.

I did not refer to myself as awake, you did now. So it must be so. Thank You! Namaste

Nice dodge. Ah, so you do not feeling that you have "awakened"?

"You just stood there screaming
Fearing no one was listening to you
They say the empty can rattles the most
The sound of your own voice must soothe you
Hearing only what you want to hear
And knowing only what you've heard
You, you're smothered in tragedy
And you're out to save the world"

Awakening is acheived by a sincere desire to be so, anyone can do it. My desire for it burns like the Sun. The longing for the eternal beloved spans eternity., this has been my lifelong goal. Humility has been a great teacher throughout this incarnation. And yet I am still here.

Yes but you have already decided at least a little as to what "awakening" entails. Thus my comments.

EXACTLY. Each one of us creates our own reality. How can anyone discredit anothers perception? You cannot. Doing so indicates the ego's refusal to be subdued. The latter party will wallow in delusion. Awakening will happen at the proper time. Namaste

Um. The first part of that is contradicted by the last part of it my friend.

First you say this:

Each one of us creates our own reality. How can anyone discredit anothers perception?

Then you turn around use a subjective statment that discounts something as delusion:

The latter party will wallow in delusion.
