Are you a citizen of Hawaii?

I am not a "birther" per se, I was just curious about the hubbub.

This is curious that the topic of Barack Obama's birth certificate did not become an issue until after he got into office.

Any one of the following is going on here :

A) No on bothered to do a sufficient background check on the soon to be head honcho.

or

B) This is partisan flaming based upon partisan rhetoric to defame someone who they oppose with nonsense to bring up issues of his legitimacy.

or

C) He started the damn rumor himself (or set his staff to do his bidding), to let everyone keep running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to prove or disprove his legitimacy.

Any of the three is a possibility. I bet he's up there in the White House just saying...

Basically by your reasoning, no matter what a president does just being elected means they deserve to be there. So no matter what Bush & Co. did, he was elected so none of it matters. Don't read too much into what I said. It just means that by going through the process of becoming the president, he deserves to have the job. He has been vetted by the powers that be and was found to be a valid choice for President of the United States. Whether he deserves to STAY president will be up to the electoral college in 2012.

I didn't read anything into it. You said:

Bush was made president, so apparently he deserved to be there regardless of the recounts that were never completed or the lies he told during his first term. None of that matters, he deserved the presidency since he was elected the second time. The New Jersey officials who were arrested for corruption deserve their offices too. Yes, there is paperwork filled out declaring someone's intention to run for the presidency but no one actually verifies that the information on it is correct. There are currently no laws that require any presidential candidate to prove their eligibility. The FBI, you know that agency we have that's tasked with investigating domestic affairs, does not routinely run background checks on elected officials. Don't believe me? Have a gander over here.

Before you go and say the image could have been doctored or w.e do some research and there are multiple papers that have obamas birth in it. instead of trying to disprove it we should focus on proving it and then once we find out we cant prove it call it false.

It's amazing that Obama paid his lawyers $960,000 to block a release of his birth certificate that would verify his eligibility to be president. Meanwhile newspapers post images of an Obama birth certificate.

Personally, I still don't trust the man. He's done more damage to the U.S. in a shorter amount of time than any other president in terms of a bad vision for the country, economic damage, Nationalization and centralized power, an attack on our wallets, and he's started a third war inside Pakistan.

Can you prove right here on ATS that Obama did indeed show his ORIGINAL LONG FORM VAULT COPY OR A COPY OF HIS LONG FORM ORIGINAL ( CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH ) to the proper authorities? And if you can prove this, which proper authorities did he show it to and if he did, they should have a copy of the original included with his paper work package when he decided to run for the POTUS.

There is no copy of his original long form certificate of live birth anywhere that has been seen by anyone that can or will provide 100% proof that it is real and that he was indeed born on US Soil!!!

Prove it! He has brought this upon himself by not providing it. If you wnat to blame anyone blame BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA/BARRY SOETORO/BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA! If that is his real name? You can't even find proof that he legally changed his damn name back to BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.

Can you give a single political reason why he should stay in office? The only change we've seen in the white house is the color of the presidents skin. Y'know, we'd all probably be satisfied with the easily reproduced COLB put online months ago, if it weren't for the myriad of other inconsistencies surrounding the past of Barack Obama. The foreign exchange student that is a natural born citizen with 183 social security numbers and 478 places of simultaneous residence, who's home village in Kenya is erecting a monument at his other place of birth.

Without all that rust, the COLB would be more than satisfactory. Add all the other discrepancies though, and people want what he has sealed, to be unsealed, and they want to know why he'd seal it, then show us a

reproduction. Any free-thinking individual would want the same.

Did I hit a nerve? For starters, the fake certification of live birth that was posted was proven to be a fake and the person who forged it has admitted to it.
He signed an Excutive Order sealing all of his personal records, even his college transcripts. There is a possibilty he received financial aid as a foreign exchange student at OX college. Finacial records on his Harvard years has yet to be disclosed.

His SELECTIVE SERVICE REGISTRATION card is said to be a fake and there is possible proof of that. The case is getting ready to go to court.
Now, if this gets to court and it is proven to be fake, One of two things may happen, Obama admits to forging a federal document and is charged with felony, or 2. Someone in Obama's staff filled it out for him, forged his name and Obama is still charged with a felony for not registering for SELECTIVE SERVICE when he turned 18 years of age.

If you do not know this by now then why are you even talking about this issue. Fukino in Hawaii will soon be asked to testify under oath, this issue is not going away and it is going to court. It will be heard and Fukino will have to put hand on BIBLE and swear oath to it and then we will see.


You simply cannot mess with the AMERICAN PEOPLE and THE CONSTITUTION and get away with it.

Here we are, 13 pages along in this thread and so far I haven't seen any evidence that the source article's claim is true.

Leaving aside the obvious question of how so much dialog could be generated on the basis of so little fact, I'm kind of hoping us ATSers can get to the bottom of all this.

If so, where is it? What foundation is this claim based on?

I tried googling it and haven't found anything credible. Did I miss something? Can someone point out where the evidence is?

I found myself asking the exact same question. It appears the same individuals going on about how there isnt sufficient evidence of the presidents eligibility are very much open to the hollow claims of a blog. The idea that Maya Soetoro had an hawaiian birth certificate in the first place was pulled out of thin air by some individual on a blog. At the end of the day this isnt about whether Maya soetoro even has one, its just about bringing more attention to an already dead birther movement.

On another note statute 338 which grants foreign born children Hawaiian short form birth certificates was only introduced in 1982 and applied to all children under the age 18 years. So even if somehow they came up with Maya Soetoros "supposed" hawaiian birth certificate there still wouldnt be a case as Maya was 12 years old at the time the law came out, which made her qualify, and Obama being 21 years old could not (hypothetically had he been born off Hawaii soil).

Another dead end claim courtesy of the birthers.

I wouldn't come onto a 'birth certificate' thread and expect any evidence. Unsubstantiated claims seem to be the basis of this entire ordeal.

Sad, really, that this is what ATS has turned into. I remember a time (not very long ago), when unfounded blog posts without sources or evidence weren't taken seriously. It would seem those times are lost.

I said I wanted it settled, as in I want the whole mess to just go away once and for all. Not once did I say he was born in Kenya, not once did I say anything that even closely resembles a claim as to where he was born. So yes, I'd say there's a reading comprehension problem here when you take a sentence that says "I want the whole thing settled already" and somehow try to twist that into "OMG!!! He, like, totally wasn't born in the US!!1!1"
