Phage is probably just taking a much needed break from the mayhem and abuse that he gets from ATS members. You should be able to relate to that Z! Actually a few weeks ago, I noticed that Phage had a red warning on his avatar. Freaked me out as you won't find a more polite and savvy guy. Something probably p*ssed him off.

Because of the distance I couldn’t tell if it was a few feet over the water or if they were actually touching the water. The first object stayed about an hour but the second one lasted at least four hours.
People came out of their houses to see the view and people came in cars, parked on the side of the street and went to the beach to see what was happening. I stayed until midnight, mostly keeping an eye on the group so there wouldn’t be any problems.
It was pretty high, like an orange-yellow light. I don't know exactly the size. As it came down it got larger. It was pretty good sized.
The police got many, many phone calls, all night. We called the Coast Guard but they didn’t come. They said it wasn't an emergency.
I think they were mystery objects. I was impressed by what I saw.There were many other officers who saw this."

It appeared to be from 200 to 300 feet in diameter, translucent or metallic, shaped like a saucer, a purple-red fiery ring around the perimeter and a frosted white glow around the entire object. The purple-red glow around the perimeter was the same type of glow you get around the commutator of an auto generator when you observe it at night.

I saw three bright glowing objects flying in a triangular formation. Our mission aircraft at the time was doing approximately four hundred fifty or five hundred knots, and these appeared to be closing extremely rapidly on a parallel course to the aircraft.
They appeared as round, glowing red fireballs. The nearest thing I can describe to it is an old fashioned cook stove lid that's been overheated and is just glowing red, or like something you'd see on an anvil in a blacksmith's shop, the glowing red of metal.
The one thing that astounded me was the colossal speed. Even after compensating for our forward direction and they were moving in the opposite direction paralleling the aircraft, they would appear on the horizon and had swept across my complete range of vision from the front of the aircraft to the rear and going over the horizon towards the Arctic regions, it was just a matter of two or three seconds.
And just as I was sitting there open-mouthed astonished watching this phenomenon flash by, there on the horizon appeared three more identical objects, and I watched no less than five or six groups of these things appear suddenly on the horizon at great speed, pass the aircraft and disappear in the Arctic regions to the rear of the aircraft.

I definitely think that threads like this are important for UFOlogy and ATS in general; separating the wheat from the chaff as it were.

I'm very new to UFOlogy as far as it goes and I really enjoy threads where respected members of the ATS community give their input. I'll admit that in the past i've felt somewhat... "frustrated"by the "skeptics" but i understand that it is VERY important to get to the bottom of it and back up claims with REAL information which is what these posters do.

This is probably the main reason I trust ATS; if someone makes a claim, they sure as hell better back it up or it's not worth the bytes of information . It's what separates ATS from alot of other sources; the people here are serious about finding out the truth. Alot of other sites are a bunch of people saying, "I saw a UFO, OMG" and everyone else believing it at face value.

The other important reason is that there are so many "UFO sightings" out there that its getting harder and harder to find out what is genuinely believed to be a sighting and what is a deliberate hoax. I for one look forward to those cases that the site "experts" cannot "debunk" and threads like this help me to find what "i'm looking for".

I strongly believe that it's better to be debunked than to falsely believe that something is proof of truth that REALLY ISN'T.

Thanks for giving your time and input guys, everyday people like me, who just want the facts really appreciate this type of investigation.

Been reading for pages and am compelled to chime in with my all-time favorite case; not as exciting as there aren't pictures or vids, but most here are familiar with the Tehran UFO incident.

The reason that I find this one so remarkable is because it is the first case I stumbled upon, by accident, via looking through the FOIA website when my focus wasn't really even UFOs. I was floored during and after that reading. In fact, I crawled back into my hole for a few years before diving back into more serious perusing (wouldn't call it research).

So thank you, everyone here at ATS: owners, mods, and contributors, and a special nod to those mentioned in the OP. I get too excited about these cases that sometimes don't warrant as much excitement.

If you are refering to me, I was trying to encourage Phage to enter this discussion. I would be very interested to hear what he has to say & I imagine many other members would also be very interested in that.
I simply couldn't think of anything else to say. Hence the single line.
