Why we listen...Rush quotes 4/14/09

"I love dreams; dreams led to inventions, led to this country. But hope is a different thing. Hope, in many cases, is simply an excuse for not doing anything."

Hope is also an excuse for stuffing money down a rat hole.

Hope is what people that are really not sure go for. Like a half ass mechanic says "I hope it works".

Why we listen...Rush quotes 4/12/09

"The simple reality is that Obama and his people cannot deal with the previous administration's success in stopping terror in America."

"Vice President Cheney is right: the people who intend to do us harm see a sap. They see a weakling in Obama; they see someone who can be exploited."

"The stark truth is that despite what the political left and the Hollywood elites say, extreme measures -- enhanced measures, so-called torture, whatever you want to call it -- work."

"You know, Hugo Chavez does not even get press like Obama gets, and Hugo Chavez owns the media!"

Success? 9-11 occurred 8 months into the Bush's first term. It happened on HIS watch. DUH.

Bush taking credit for no further attacks is like a crowing rooster thinking he made the sun rise.

After years of the Clinton administration virtually ignoring terrorism a 9/11 type event was bound to happen. Bush could have blamed the Clinton administration for the attack, but he didn't, he just took care of business like a real leader. Not like the blame America first and blame Bush first President we have now.

Perhaps you should spend more time in the 911 boards.

I suggest you brush up on the Presidential Daily Briefs in the weeks prior to 911. He was clearly warned if he could have "connected" the dots rather than just "color" them in. Eight months seems like a reasonable amount of time to implement new stratergy. (sic)

Face it, your argument contains fatal flaws. You are better at merely quoting.

I was just reading what mush loosebowels was spewing forth about Earth Day a little while ago and I had an epiphany...

... for the longest time I couldn't understand why they kept carting out cheney the dick and after reading mush in print it makes sense...

...he is the only one on the right who sounds like he knows what he's talking about...

... even though he has zero crediblity... now where are those WMD?

Why we listen...... Rush quotes 4/23/09

"This administration has been one part joke, one part unbelievable and many parts scary."

"I'm hearing a lot of people say today, 'Obama must be buckling to pressure from his left wing base on these potential CIA prosecutions.' He's not buckling to anything but his own desires."

"What incredible arrogance to believe that we limited human beings can destroy that which we cannot even begin to understand -- much less create on our own -- and that is earth and all of its glories."

"When you interact with average, ordinary, everyday liberals or Democrats, it's hard not to think, 'My God, the country is finished.'"

"Barack Obama should be the last person to lecture anybody about standing atop a rock of morality. His foundation is leftist. He identifies with anti-American politics. He yucks it up with people who hate our country. He supports infanticide. He attended a racist, bigoted church for 20 years."

"How oil gets to us from deep inside the womb of Mother Earth is a testament to man's ingenuity."

".....from deep inside the womb of Mother Earth...." LOL!

Oh, my (wiping tears from eyes)....that one is deliciously rich in its stupidity! Never thought the man could be more of a self-promoting caricature of himself, but he's now proved me wrong!!!

Oh, some synonyms of "caricature": 'cartoon'; 'burlesque'; 'travesty'

...womb of Mother Earth... Seriously, I can't get enough of that touchy-feely Gaia-loving sentiment....ah, he's just a big puppy dog who wears Birkenstocks and is a secret hippie!!! Now, I understand everything!

You must be really bored Grover?

Who cares? It's a free country and people listen to whoever they wish. He has the largest audience of anyone and is the highest paid.

There was a thread about this not to long ago in fact.

Radio is a business. Rush is a walking money generator.

The vast majority of Americans would ask, why do people come to ATS? Far more than would worry about Limbaugh. Both Democrats and Republicans think we are nuts.
Far more than think Limbaugh is nuts.

What I find more odd than Limbaugh having so many in his audience is the fact people complain. Out of one side of their mouth they claim to be for free speech and then out of the other they complain. Me, I know how to use a radio and can change the station. I did not even have to read the instruction manual it is so simple. People do it all the time and I guess they don't realize they are doing it. Otherwise they would just change the station.

I have not listened to Rush in years, but I'd say his credibility index is much higher than say Pelosi or Reid?

Free speech is just OK with me and he is not an elected official so what I said above is sad. The most powerful people on earth have less credibility than a talk show host.

You really don't understand Rush do you? The statement about the womb of "Mother Earth" is an intended jab at liberals.

Hopefully he used his liberal castrati voice when he said it....only a true Rush listener would understand that!

It truly is classic Rush and was funny as all get out when you heard him say it!!!

There are not many political commentators that can mix humor and intellect at the level Rush does.. If any...

I had almost stopped listening to him, my day is pretty frantic in the spring and summer, but after reading this thread for this long, he has regained a loyal listener..

IF they still listen to him and IF they actually think he still has any credibilty
then they must be addicted to oxycontin too.

If the aliens showed up and wanted to see our leader he's it.

Its the best we can do folks. Its all fairly black and white!

Interesting reading if you ask this question on google or yahoo!

I listen to Rush for much the same reason I listen to NPR and read this website, Infowars, Foxnews' website, CNN, MSNBC, Digg, Fark and a multitude of others, to learn. You can't make informed decisions without gathering all the information. You gather info, that way you can make an informed decision about topics. If you get all your info from one source or multiple sources with the same bent or leaning then you are letting someone else make your decisions for you. Not using a source because you "don't like it" means you are allowing personal feelings to interfere with knowledge gathering. Even Rush is right every now and then.

I listen and read a lot of of sources myself but I do not consider mush loosebowels or any of the commentators left or right as valid or legitimate sources... I can read the news myself and come to my own conclusions.

Nor do I consider him funny and I have a healthy sense of humor.

Wow, a whole eight months? And how many years did Clinton have?

Saying eight months is plenty of time to get some sort of plan together is about as smart as saying that Obama should have a great economic plan together in four months.

If my memory serves me correctly.....8. His responsibility ended when he left office.

Are you saying that Clinton was responsible for 9-11?

Factoid:

Clinton left office with an approval rating at 66%, the highest end of office rating of any president since World War II.
