So on one hand you personally know one Republican, disagree with her policies, but like and respect her.. Because you personally know her..

On the other.. You DON'T personally know a Republican, disagree with his policies, but hate and revile him.....Because you what???

And you really can't see the hypocrisy here?

I know and like quite a few Republicans even though we disagree... I know and like you.

My issue with Limbaugh has to do with his hate filled rhetoric which he spews publicly, which is his right but that I find hard to believe is doing this nation any good... What is so hard to understand about that?

Given some of the things he and savage, beck and coulter etc, have said about liberals and Democrats over the years... we don't have the right to return the love?

THAT is what you seem to be saying... its alright for conservatives to visciously attack liberals but its hate speech and hypocricy for us to return the favor.

What a crock of manure that is... give me more I need to put some on my garden.

Rush Limbaugh is a fake conservative, as they say a "gatekeeper," and right now he is serving a very important function, which is to help mobilize the Obaminoids.

Alex was explaining this on his show yesterday. Nancy Pelosi's daughter is making a new film which will show some toothless redneck Republicans wanting to go nuke Iran, also show Limbaugh stumbling around in a drugged stupor (which oxycontin is like heroin and the guy is totally hooked on the stuff, also viagra), and making some of his more outlandish remarks.

This will be used to mobilize the Obaminoids and especially many former Obaminoids to support the draconian fascist takeover of America underway now, the compulsory servitude that just passed, where we will have armed young people going around and arresting people who don't support Obama, sending us off to the camps.

Yep, good old Rushie, always can be counted on to do his part. They say the best way to control the opposition is to lead it and Rush Limbaugh is the perfect example of that. Same with Michael Weiner (aka Savage).

Both Zionists working for the New World Order tyranny, both paid liars, both sold their souls to Satan, literally. Both very wicked men. Same with Glen Beck, Sean Hannity and Ann the Man Coulter.

I listened to Rush for some time (about 9 months, fairly good sample time) while trying to get a handle on what others were so upset about and to get a general feel for what his positions were and how they were presented to his large listening audience.

Now, since then I admit that I'm mostly exposed to sound bites from some of his more outrageous statements but learned from my previous experience that these bits don't always cover his whole "show" are not necessarily representative of his overall point.

My problem lays in the fact that his regular listeners take every thought and opinion that he puts forth as complete truth without question (generally, given the response in his defense from many here on ATS).

His bloviating (for those who don't own a dictionary, your word of the day..."To speak or discourse at length in a pompous or boastful manner") and self righteous delivery, beating a given talking point to death, sometimes over several days, and outright attacks on those who don't agree with him, sometimes just crosses the line into simple fear mongering and character assassination.

A few points:
The playing over and over of the "Barak the magic Negro" bit and joyfully laughing about it was outright racist.

Insisting that John McCain was the worst thing that ever happened to the Republican party, until he was nominated.

Insisting throughout GWB's presidency that you were un-American, un-patriotic, radical, a communist, a socialist, a terrorist sympathizer, against our troops, and subversive if you didn't follow your Commander in Chief to the letter. Well, that is is until the administration changed, then you were all of the above IF you supported the President.

One question I've always wanted ask to him, and Hannity, and O'Reilly, and Coulter, given their overwhelming support in the Christian right and the importance of their values in our way of life, is where exactly do they all go to church? I would love to sit with them in the pew and share with them in the message of love and compassion for all.

I don't know, I guess I'm just confused. Carry on.

Except for one other thing, since when do MODs get into pissing matches with OPs?

All of the above are purely my own opinions and should not be held against my dog who knows all about compassion and unselfish love for his fellow "man".

edit to add: No I didn't forget about Beck and the church thing, he belongs to a cult.

Ah, then all is well in the world. Good for you and semperfortis. Carry on.
And I guess I am a liberal if being a free thinker willing to listen to others opinions without casting judgment is what that entails. Well. without casting too much judgment. Gotta be honest too and recognize your own shortcomings and admit that you don't know everything and never will. Makes life more interesting that way (and kinda scary sometimes).

Oh, and my humblest apologies for my presumptive judgment on your relationship with semperfortis.

See what happens when you state an opinion without knowing all the facts? Makes me look foolish and ignorant.

I have to share that once during the last campaign I caught myself switching back and forth between Olbermann and O'Reilly to try and get a grip on how the two sides were spinning things.

I eventually found myself curled up in the fetal position on the floor, drooling and mumbling over and over, "Please make it stop, please make it stop".

Needless to say, my dog was completely distressed until he put his furry little paw on the remote and somehow turned the TV off.

God, how I love that dog. Truly a life saver in the most Rin Tin Tin and Lassie class.

I don't watch TV at all, but I do know Keith Olbermahn actually reported a lot of truthful stuff on the phony war on terror. I suppose he's a partisan Democrat, which is unfortunate. Chris Matthews I have no opinion on other than he's a partisan Democrat. Lou Dobbs has reported fairly on CNN.

These are the only two I know who report fairly, Olberhmanh sometimes and Dobbs usually always.

Unfortunately a lot of Democrats who were right on the mark in their criticisms of the criminal Bush regime now seem to accept it if Obama is doing the same or worse stuff, carrying the tyranny over the cliff.

People need to take a look at Alex Jones' film The Obama Deception and realize the left/right paradigm is an illusion, that it's like professional wrestling, and these people all work for the same owners, and they are all in on the scam to destroy America and kill most of us off.

Congress is a bunch of paid whores, some with more or less enthusiasm for their assignment. They are all occultics, Freemasons, right or left path makes no difference. They all answer to the Rothschilds and Wall Street, and are helping them steal the Treasury blind, to enslave us, and work out the plans for our extermination. When it starts to get really hot in the kitchen, they will retire to the DUMBs, as they were told last year in their secret meeting that they expect riots and martial law and will need to get out of Dodge lest the citizens get really nasty.

Kill us all off in the slowest, most costly manners possible. Instead of just taking our money or weilding power, they are giving us cancer that they then have to treat, sometimes for years, with very expensive treatments. Alex is an idiot and a liar.

IGNORANT QUOTES FROM MUSH LOOSEBOWELS

I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.

You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed.

Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?

Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.

The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.

They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?

Take that bone out of your nose and call me back(to an African American female caller).

Feminism was established to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream.

And don't forget, Sherrod Brown is black. There's a racial component here, too. And now, the newspaper that I'm reading all this from is The New York Times, and they, of course, don't mention that." --[Rep. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), is white]

"This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation...I'm talking about people having a good time, these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You ever heard of the need to blow some steam off?" --on the Abu Ghraib

"Too many whites are getting away with drug use...Too many whites are getting away with drug sales...The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them, and send them up the river, too."

"I am addicted to prescription pain medication."

"We're not sexists, we're chauvinists -- we're male chauvinist pigs, and we're happy to be because we think that's what men were destined to be. We think that's what women want."

"The only way to reduce the number of nuclear weapons is to use them."

There are more acres of forestland in America today than when Columbus discovered the continent in 1492."

"I know these people like I know every square inch of my glorious naked body." --on Democrats (glorious?)

No, he also attacks anyone else that demonstrates one shread of common sense. Of all the righties to defend, you pick that nutjob? His show is just as funny as the Daily Show. The problem is that it is not supposed to be so funny is it?

I think something deep within the subconcious is comforted by the bombastic elocution of a polished speaker, should the listener agree with most of the statements which are re-arranged and re-stated a remarkable number of times within one broadcast.
I have not listened to Mr. Limbaugh for about a decade now. Sometimes I'll hear him pontificating on some trivia or the other, his metered and polished delivery are admirable, but talent and skill notwithstanding, Mr. Limbaugh is but a shill. He's the carnival barker who can tell you to "come see the gypsy queen perform on trampoline in a sheen of vaseline". What a scene, what a scene.
I think it far better to listen to those with whom one finds disagreement.
Exposing one's self to opposing views is quite usefull when checking one's own belief set for counterfeit values.
One will soon decide that all who speak from a pre-position are simply shading the truth so as to better sell airtime by making as many listeners as possible listen to the soothing tones of agreement with one's own ideas, and though all involved hear the hypocricy of shaded truths, it is easy to throw off our own revulsion at less than the whole truth, in favor of more ego strokes.
Listen to all, believe none the powers that be tolerate or encourage?
Remember, these talking heads are INFO-TAINMENT.
Me? I'd rather listen to.......

I couldn't agree with you more.... what amazes me are the number of people who take him seriously...

... when he came out of the closet as a pill junkie and going into rehab a local TV station interviewed a man on the street about it and he said...

I listen to him all the time now I don't know what to think

Now I don't know about you but I wouldn't have admitted that publicly.

A star for you by the way.

Funny one, grover!

Was it Mush Loosebowels who started this latest 'trojan horse' attempt to diminish President Obama because he uses a tele-promptr????

What President in the last two or three decades didn't???

Of course, intelligent people see through this bit of dishonesty.

EDIT....Oh, I know why the Right is bringing this up. They're mad because unlike Bush, Pres. Obama can actually read it!

Rush would be funny, just another over-paid Belicose Bloviating Buffoon if his ardent 'followers' (AKA 'dittoheads') weren't comprised of a certain element of people who actually BELIEVE what he says.

My point is that it seems that his comments might prove to foment more Domestic Terrorism than we have yet seen. Think of what the Imams in the extremist Mosques in the Middle East say to whip up the 'troops'....
(shudder).....

Why do peeps listen to Rush Limbaugh?

Thats friggin' easy dude!
Because their egos need massaged.
Another disgusting distraction that further divides the country
and protects the real truth from being found out.
Money does that. Everyone has a price.

Ah, land of the greed, home of the fraid.

On his show Friday

Rush noted that a CNN journalist and several people were arrested for standing on "dikes" in Fargo, North Dakota. This became an excuse for Rush to say "dike" over and over, to greater hilarity with each repetition.

mediamatters.org...

And there are people who take this buffoon seriously... These people are busting their asses trying to save their homes and this jackass is sitting on his making fun of the situition.

FOOL.

OH and for the dittoheads who will insist that he didn't because of my source there is enough converge of it on the web to prove he did.

Sorta reminds me of Olympia Snowe and her attempts to hold up relief for Katrina victims until she got her pet project approved... she failed.

FOOL sounds quite appropriate for this old dowdy.
