Thank you for participating. To be honest though, to me, it's just more "sweeping under the rug". I'm no longer questioning the zero tolerance policy, but continue, as I have from the beginning, to question the justification of said policy.

"Threatened the very existence of ATS...". I have an extremely difficult time assigning any merit to that statement. Furthermore, it fails to be corroborated by Bill's expanded justifications for the policy. This whole thing should be a non-issue, and the solution (and there is one), is much simpler than anyone may imagine.

Look, you guys didn't ask the members if we thought the policy should be instituted. If you were sincerely interested in trying to make everyone happy, then this should have been done unilaterally as well. Are you really saying that you didn't see the whole 'divide & conquer' scenario resulting from the path we were put on?

My original objection to this policy still stands: How are we to discuss the topic, within the confines of the T & C, if every thread started on the topic is preemptively closed before it even gets started. Prove to me that you can run a mile in one lap on a half mile track.

The "stoner-infusion" so frequently cited, is a myth. The few such posts we do get, should be deleted, and the member banned. Instead you've chosen to throw the baby out with the bath water, and I'm sorry, but you can't claim ignorance in regard to the evolution of this thread, and the sentiments expressed herein.

No mob either, i am glad no noe is hardcore against this, but we will se, it has only been five minutes ROFL.

I think it's fine, too, but the administration does have the final say. I think it will not change.

But their company makes money off of your ideas. You're giving them FREE ideas, and they turn around and sell them. There is nothing evil about that... it's called freedom. I am free to leave ATS whenever I want, and I am also free to share whatever I want. If I post it, it belongs to ATS. If they want to delete it, they can. If they want to wrap the idea up in a book and sell it, they can do that too.

Ultimately there is nothing forcing you or I to be here, other than our own curiosity and enjoyment. The owners of ATS owe us NOTHING.

It's incredibly difficult to really discuss the real matter at hand with this off-topic vote that the mods have allowed to cruise off topic for 100 pages...you can't gauge the true member reaction with all this personal discussion. You and I agree on and clearly see through these back and forth reasons for the ban. I hate being outright lied to. Just be honest with us and tell us it's about the money.

And the minority rule continues, just on the other side.

And the original point becomes obsolete because now there will be a compromise between 6 people who are not speaking on behalf of the majority and the people who run the site.

I'm not against the committee, but am against how it was chosen and it just screams hypocrisy when most of us are complaining about others in life pulling the exact same crap. A community of hypocrites. Peace.

Edit: That's not a shot at the admins, either...they were more than fair. It's the self-proclaimed organizers of this vote that I take issue with.

Why can't it simply be about what they want to create?

I'm a business owner, and I have my own style in what I want to present to those looking in. As the business owner I have that right, and have no requirements to explain myself.

The owners of ATS have this same luxury. It makes no sense to hate on them. As I said earlier.. they owe us NOTHING.
