HONESTLY SAD!!!!!

Angus123,

Hi, you don't know me...and OT doesn't know you...let's ACCEPT that as a foundation, ok?

With that said....I will be reviewing this thread, (IF the ATS folks can keep it?) in 20 yrs....and I guarantee you a FACT...

Here it is....

1) YOU WILL REGRET these words!!!!

2) You will get a curve from LIFE!!!!!

3) You will MAKE IT YOUR LIFE'S mission to undo these words...

And....

Bottom line.....

4) YOU WILL BE HAPPY....and the LORD Jesus' Best Friend!!

Like this fella above haha

MarktheSkepticUK,

You think people who believe in a God are thick?

What do you believe in?

The Holy Bible is a collection of myths and parables having to do with ancient Judaism. If you don't relate to ancient Jewish tradition, it is a difficult read.

I would advise folks to explore all the religions out there and be open-minded. Also, get up to speed on history and philosophy.

There are some wonderful passages in the Bible and the King James wording is quaint and charming, but some of what's in there is kind of wrong-headed and psychedelic.

I've been studying Tibetan Buddhism which, I don't completely buy into either, but it is very interesting.

Me personally, I try to have an open mind about all of the religions, but I think Christianity is more Jewish than most people realize (that's why they call it Judeo-Christian) and I personally don't relate to the Middle Eastern ancient Jewish traditions as much as someone in that part of the world would. I can't relate much at all to the Muslim faith either, but I know it isn't all bad.

Seems like religions all have some drawbacks. They aren't simple enough for my taste and I really dislike the old guilt trip that it seems all religions spout which goes something like "this is the only truth, the only way to salvation" and so forth and so on. Whatever.

.......

Ditch the bible - it's quite nasty, and it adds fuel to the fire of hatred and discrimination. No place for that in todays world.

Why do angry atheists want to take from people the freedom that we have in this country to read the Bible and worship God?

It's very easy to prove that God exists, you cannot have a creation without a creator. You cannot have things made without a maker. So all it takes is a little bit of common sense on the part of thinking people to realize atheism is a complete farce. It's intellectual suicide. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Atheists believe that everything was created by nothing, and they call Christians naive?

And it's an absolute tragedy because every atheist is going to learn a terrifying fact at the time of their death. They've got everything to lose and nothing to gain. If the atheist is right and there is no God, he doesn't even get the joy of saying to theists- "I told you so".

But, if there is a God, and he's the God revealed in Holy Scripture, then he's rejected his only salvation, because heaven and hell are realities. Have they ever considered even for a minute what it would mean if they were condemed to a place of hellish torment for all of eternity? They gamble their short lives here for absolutely nothing, and risk all eternity in burning torment if they are wrong- geniuses!

The darker a nation gets, the more it hates the light. The more a nation throws itself into sin, the more it's going to hate righteousness. This site is certainly a reflection of that growing darkness. What a time we live in!

I can easily say, why do you belive in something just because a book says so?

you along with anyone on this planet has ever seen god, and never will.

And i most likley garentee that if you reply. It will be one that turns a blind eye on my question and makes an excuse up that doesnt make sence.

All of you god belivers do it.
Most of you are probs realy nice people.
but yous are a total and utter bunch of cracker jacks!

Would you like to have a convo with me? I can prove God exists, and I can show Him to you.

Would you be willing to hear me out?

Not everyone believes in God "because of a book". It is actually possible to find, and get to know God, without any external input.

Nice question Thanks..

I dont belive in anything m8.
Why should i belive in a something?
i just accept it.

I know where i came from. My mother and farther.
How sperm and and egg makes another human is prettyt damn fantstic.
But its certainly no work of a "god"
Just sperm and an egg

Where the first humans come from, i and no one else knows.
But im sure it wasnt from a bloke called Adam & a lass called Eve haha

Best off just looking how other species evolve
I just take a good look around and take things as they are.

The sky at night, you can look up and see stars billions of miles away.
theres no hevan up there. Theres certainly no hell under our feet (in the centre of our planet i should say since its a sphere)

To top it off common sence.
If god is what people to belive him to be,( yeah they do belive its a man haha) hes got no reason to be invisable or to hide oneself away.
Wouldt you think he was a bit better than that?

PS: Is it not fair to say...perceptions (in the present) don't a REALITY make? Life will bring us more than we CURRENTLY know, right?

Yes T, I did review before responding...

His last statement is a nice thought, I acknowledge....BUT it smacks in the face of the truth found in John 14:6...scarry as it may be...JC said, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

NO ONE....whew....harsh for sure!
