About 02:25 the call to morning prayer will be in about 2 hours or so. But roosters and drones will be common for a good bit.

I just heard an emergency vehicle go by.

Can you imagine what it must be like to be a police officer or a paramedic working in the middle of a war zone?

2:23am (+2GMT), the roosters were there yesterday night and morning too. It was very surreal yesterday especially with the explosions going off at the same time.

As I'm typing this I can hear emergency service vehicles driving by with their sirens on, I guess that means the area is secure and they have been allowed in to deal with civilian casualties. The detonations have virtually stopped too, it's quite an eerie silence bar the drones.

White phosphorus is illegal to use on civilians, I assume, but legal to use against enemy soldiers. And legal to use as markers or smokescreens, we've seen a lot of smoke.
Collateral damage, dang, oh well.

when the Pentagon admitted[5] to the use of white phosphorus while stating that its use for producing obscuring smoke is legal and does not violate the Chemical Weapons Convention.[6] A Pentagon spokesman has also admitted that WP "was used as an incendiary weapon against enemy combatants", though not against civilians.[7]

From:
en.wikipedia.org...(weapon)

White phosphorus, notes the BBC, is "a solid, waxy man-made chemical which ignites spontaneously ... and produces an intense heat, bright light and thick pillars of smoke." It is used "in munitions, to mark enemy targets and to produce smoke for concealing troop movements. It can also be used as an incendiary device to firebomb enemy positions."

The effects on humans are not nice at all, like burn to the bone bad.

Some good video reports from Reuters, if you would like to watch them... After the first report, let it continue to the next report.

In the first you will hear an Israeli official claiming that a school they attacked was "booby trapped" by Hamas and other places etc.

It helps put in context what we;ve been watching and hearing on this live feed.

The sound of the drones has become soothing in a twisted way.

Or am I going insane?

Bloody eerie, my heart goes out to those who are not involved in the fighting.

And whoever is feeding us this, thank you.

I understand the distrust in the word, but in a forum and specially on a thread that everyone in contribution for the "effort of doing good" I dont understand why you guys need a link to prove common sense.... what you think I made that up just to contradict you? I didnt even contradict you.... WP it is in deed legal because its "legalese" only applies to the ones who signed the treaty. The US and a coupple of more didnt sign it, therefor making it legal for them to use.

But... heres your link... from a UN site, I hope thats "real enough" for you...

I have been watching the feed and wondered
what area I am looking at.
Does anyone know if that is Egypt along the shoreline?
I also could not find the population, does anyone know?

I did find this in Wiki and was shocked to learn the area is very small
**

Gaza Strip is a coastal strip of land along the Mediterranean Sea.
It borders Egypt on the south-west and Israel on the north and east.
It is about 41 kilometers (25 mi) long,
and between 6 and 12 kilometers (4–7.5 mi) wide,
with a total area of 360 square kilometers (139 sq mi).
The area is not recognized internationally as part of any sovereign country
but is claimed by the Palestinian National Authority as part of the Palestinian territories.
Since the June 2007 battle of Gaza, actual control of the area is in the hands of the Hamas de facto government.

Fresh fighting is now breaking out about 5 miles or so in the distance. Some large explosions coupled with rocket/tracer fire - as it's so far away it's hard to tell what's going on but it seems quite widespread. The city surrounding the cameras is still quiet, even the rooster has silenced... are people still having problems with the feed?

*EDIT*

Automatic weapons firing can be heard quite clearly and closer to our brave crew, seemed a short burst and all is quiet again. Does anyone have updates from other news links?

You Pals have made yourselves quite the little HELL HOLE.

Instead of creating a marvelous sea-side resort and getting rich, you choose to kill Jews.

I'm happy for your pain.

You deserve it.

Sorry, but after reading your posts I just don't trust anything you say.

Why don't you look up the various sourced ATS threads on the subject before you call foul? Are you lazy?

I actually did some research on the subject (I am not a big fan of Israel's use of WP in Gaza), and the man is spot on. His post is factually correct in every sense.

Can we get back to talking about the cam now?

I need a direct line to the Gazan on the anti aircraft gun.
Tell him to shoot that damn drone down.
After listening to that sound for hours I am annoyed.

P.s does anyone think the crew is armed.
lol, I some IDF got in distance do you think and RPG would come out of the camera and blow up a tank.
