this article reminds me of the tv program i watched a while ago called "Airport"..... this american guy with a musical instrument case was asked at a major uk airport (forget which one) if there is anything in the case, he replys yeah, a shotgun....even though it was just a joking comment he was briskly taken to the local police station and charged......

Nobody here would not think twice if a bunch of Muslims talked about which seat on the plane is the safest.

Islam is a cult religion.

i can see maybe the family trying to work out who in the family sits where and the phrase being used would be "whats the best seat" as in certain kids next to their parents etc this has then been wrongly understood as "the safest seat"

even if the passengers did intend to do something to the plane there would not be any such thing as a "safest seat"

I would aways sit in last seat, in back of plane so when if it went down I could go stand against restroom wall. Then that thing happened with the engine exploding and killing person in last seat.
Then there was the time, we were coming in for landing and the guy next to me saw I was wearing all leather flying gear slow burn.
He was with his wife and kids, he had very strange look on his face when he finally relized why I was in all leather.
Most of time plane in crash is like accordion, the rear section will remain, if you can get past fire might live.
The heck with first class sit in back next to emergency door, if old guy is sitting there, tell stewartess to let you change seat with him. They know what's up, they will want out too.

Isn't that strange?

At the moment you should be WAY more worried about local crime. Your much more likely to fall down the stairs and die than get bombed to pieces by a terrorist.

For now I don't think you have to be so paranoid. At least not until you get more attacks.

See, that right there is one of my biggest gripes about this whole 'terrorism' thing. All this security on airlines and for what? 'They'* do the airplane thing one time and suddenly we got to go through hell and high water at the airport, yet, 'They' bomb public places seemingly at will, and what, no increased security at McDonald's? "I'll take a large fry and a pipe bomb to the sternum please." The whole airport security thing is a joke, and a utter waste of time. If 'They' want to get something nasty on a plane, then 'They' will. Hassling normal folks that are just trying to fly to the in-laws is ridiculous.

How stupid. Lots of people have conversations as to where the safest seats on an airplane are in the event of a crash. I don't understand how having such a conversation would be cause enough to have this family booted from the plane and the airline refusing to rebook them.

I didn't see Sikhs flying planes into buildings.

Nor Wiccans, nor Taoists.

Muslims.

So who would I look to and be naturally suspicious?

This isn't all that hard to understand.

Who was the male adult in the Belway sniper team.

Oh. That's right John Muhammed.

But don't anyone worry about Muslims. They are a peaceful religion.

Please, do not generalize. I am a Muslim and I haven't declared anything on anybody. I don't care if you are Christian, or Jew, or sun worshiper. I don't even care if you chose to vote the president a man who thinks it's OK for him to give 700 billion dollars of the federal budget money to his country club chums while you are denying yourself everything to pay back those student loans. Some dumb priest might declared jihad on the Western World. Well, that's what priests of all religions do - make a lot of noise. It's not like any of them have real responsibilities.

and you did not see Muslims fly planes into buildings, not unless your on the planes concerned, if you did then i must be talking to someone who is dead. whoops thats scary. All the information you got was from the US government, and yeah they tell the truth right. Just like Bush baby is blaming hamas for what is going on now in Gaza, yep it is the truth, not.

All news is propaganda, read it at your peril

Hey, if your terrorists wear silver-thread short pants, turpentine rags around their ankles, shave their heads, and wear purple hats, then by God, it's common sense that you keep an eye on everyone who wears silver-thread short pants, wraps turpentine rags around their ankles, shaves their heads, and wears purple hats.

So as long as people wear military uniforms ( American, Israeli, etc) and act on the orders of western governments , or western puppets, we can sit next to them as long as they have not branded us terrorist?

You don't think Palestinian suicide bombers would rather fly nice F-16
s and other fighter bombers to blow up their targets? Any chance your going to help fund such planes so they too can become deserving of your 'respect'?

Probably staged to enable a lawsuit anyway.

So your a paranoid capitalist? Figures...

Or, just good, common sense.

Common sense and support of state terrorism over individual terrorism hardly goes hand in hand.

No, the Christians or Jewish people drop bombs and call it 'wars in the interest of creating 'stable democracies'. Obviously the terrorist just blow things up because they are strangely not motivated by typical human driving forces such as 'independence', 'security'. Basically Christians and Jewish 'reasons' for causing deaths are almost always believed while Muslims are never allowed to even suggest that they have reasons. God forbid people may discover that they too employ reasoning before killing themselves or others! God forbid they may look human!

I didn't see Sikhs flying planes into buildings.
Nor Wiccans, nor Taoists,Muslims.

It has not been proved that Muslims piloted the planes or planned the attacks of 9-11. Obviously you can't consider or believe that so can i at least offer up the fact that there where no Palestinians or Iraqi's on the planes? Would you stand for Russia attacking bombing and or invading the US because they happen to believe that some French Christians were responsible for staging terrorist attacks on Russia? Any chance you can see how illogical all of this is?

So who would I look to and be naturally suspicious?

To those you have been propagandized to be suspicious of naturally. Well done for being such a typical puppet.

This isn't all that hard to understand.
Who was the male adult in the Belway sniper team.
Oh. That's right John Muhammed.

Yup, it makes perfect sense to attack foreign nations because of domestic terrorism. I mean i stopped sitting next to Christians after the Timothy McVeigh affair; just can't trust that mass/church going fanatics.

But don't anyone worry about Muslims. They are a peaceful religion.

I don't know of a peaceful monotheistic religion but and i don't know if that says something about monotheism or about my knowledge of such religions.
What i just don't see is how Islam is a more violent religion than Christianity when the modern ( or ancient, Christianity became the state religion of Imperial Rome) imperial powers who laid waste to much of world where all Christian.

Then again i think this is about politics and power with religions merely being employed to further the same old imperial ends.

Until you turn on the TV or read the papers.

And depending on where you live the state religion/media will paint you a nice picture of how a terrorist looks. The difference seems to be that it's almost exclusively Christian pilots dropping bombs on Islamic states or broadcasters.

If you can make Christians seem to be the victims in all of this you are truly a artist of note and i look forward to observing your mental gyrations.

Stellar

You lot seem to forget that when the IRA were busy bombing London in the 80's all Irish people were tarred with the same brush as Muslims are today, No peace loving lefties stuck up for us i recall, so though the 99.99999999% of muslims are safe , so were the irish. Tough #, put up with it .

Yeah. It reminds me of the guy who saw his neighbor sprinkling white powder all over his lawn. When he asked him what it was for, the neighbor said, "It's a repellent. It keeps crocodiles away."

"Huh? There aren't any crocodiles within a thousand miles of this place."

"Yeah," said the neighbor. "Works good, doesn't it."

P.S. I have tried to join this site three times and have been given three different passwords. None of them worked. Any suggestions?

Is that what America is coming too?
Stereotyping a generally peaceful religion?

This is reminiscent of the Red Scare and the negativity toward the Japanese during World War II. If only we could see past the skin. It was one thing to take his family off the plane and screen him and another to refuse him and his family a flight AFTER they had been specifically reviewed by the FBI. This is completely ridiculous.

They are as innocent as the guy who shouts a greeting to his friend Jack at an airport: "Hi, Jack!". I doubt Jack's friend will get on any plane. Stupid people don't have right to fly.
