Thanks for that link again. Your right, it is blocked, but, I did a backspace in the bar to pull up what I looked at in previous days, and found this page that is current. Look at the depths, and the strenght is going up a notch.

I take it back, the latest is 5:51 this morning, I guess the whole US has not had one quake for 8 hours or more. cool - not...............

Ah man I have been gone only a little while and tons of new things have happened! Well it is good to be back.

Alright so now the cams are reporting, for now... we do not know how long this will last. And worst of all!!! We have lost all that precious data from yesterday when things were picking up. They have possibly hidden it from us...

All facts now point to a possible hydro explosion or an earthquake. I am only afraid of this because it could open a crevice.

Thanks Mike, I'm doin' my best to keep up and to not get too worried. Have been trying to divide my time between getting informed and preparing for action.

I'm a total noob at participating in forums. What is the best way to monitor this thread other than keeping my browser open and hitting the refresh button?
RSS?

I use Outlook 2002, but they didn't include RSS until Outlook 2003.

Thanks In Advance.

I use my Opera browser to load the RSS feeds for me automatically. I believe Firefox does the same.

On topic please! If you want to talk to each other about something else, do so by u2u. Or another thread. This thread is about Yellowstone

I've been checking the closest live camera that is not controlled by the govt. on weather bug. Livingston, MT. I am glad to say that the deer are still doing normal trails this morning and nothing but normal crappy weather and overcast. This is about 35 to 30 miles to the north of Yellowstone.

on the other hand.. if its so that the public is blockt off te data... we are in serious troubble..........
my guesses are that off. warnings will come out soon....

forgett not that the only reason they waited so long is the economic position of the states for the national park.

Edit:Spelling

Sorry, didn't know who to send a u2u to. Figured one question wouldn't ruffle too many feathers but I guess I was wrong. I'll try to conform the best that I can.

Is it me or is the average depth becoming more shallow?

Maybe I am just looking for trends. It is obvious that they are migrating northward, toward the inflating plain, but are they slowly coming up?

UofU Quake List

I know the list is incomplete and growing, but I think I do spot a trend.

Anyone?

Researchers at the University of Washington believe that the December 26, 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake triggered tremors on the San Andreas Fault

Wasatch Fault Flyby
December 29, 2008 | Utah Geological Survey

The Utah Geological Survey has a video titled “Wasatch Fault Flyby” that explains the Wasatch Fault and how earthquake activity there can impact nearby urban areas with over 1.6 million residents.

Could the recent Nevada earthquakes and the Yellowstone Park earthquakes be connected?

There may be other connections between locations that the science world is just discovering. Science is still learning about this one and from what I have read, the massive size of Yellowstone Park (volcano) is worrisome to all.

The National Park Service in Yellowstone has been kept fully informed of the ongoing seismic activity via electronic means and by phone contacts with the University of Utah and the U.S. Geological Survey USGS). The Wyoming Office of Homeland Security is reviewing Earthquake Response Plans and monitoring seismic activity.

In my opinion, the above means that "Homeland Security" is in preparation mode.

Data!

I kinda feel sorry for the techs at www.seis.utah.edu, this outage was probably a boo boo somewhere in their network. Funny that mbmgquake.mtech.edu... stayed up and reporting for LKWY the whole time...

It is the oblong deformation. or the cause of it located sw to ne.
The EQs as we have all seen appear to be moving to the high point which is that upper inner circle.

Ummmm is right...

Maybe you missed my video of earthquakes movement over time, I'm reposting the link again. It definitely shows the trend you're talking about:

North is at the left of the screen, EQ depth is at the vertical axis of the video. Please note that the EQ data used to make this video is updated to December 31st.

Just called the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security for information and got a recording.
That's REAL comforting. Guess they're off for new years?
Was directed to a number for the duty officer but it sounds like they're closed.

Ahhh okay. Has anyone noticed that on the Lake Mary graph that is back up and running it seems like the same activity we saw just before it went out the day before. Could it have really continued for that long!!
