I do see some activity on several of the helicorders today. The times match up. You can see it the most on yla, but it's also on the others, and looks a bit different on ysb.

Threesome @ YLA; Can someone give me perspective on this thermal sat image prob taken around 06/07 - I'm interested in the portion NE of YL and cant decide if we are getting a thermal view or not. The map enlarges for bird eye view..

What would be really kewl is if someone who has the abilities could mark up that sat image and put the station locations and plot of activity as a top layer of sorts..

Here is that last satellite image from 12/12/08 that was posted many pages back:

And the most recent that I'm guessing was the one they had marked as urgent on the priority coordination calendar (I wish I could remember who originally posted the calendar - if you are still with us please comment) - though it is dated 1/13/09 and the scheduled date was 1/22/09. I am keeping my eyes peeled for any more recent one from the specific 1/22 date in case it just hasn't been updated yet.

I tried finding the original post that provided the priority coordination calendar for the ASTER request made by Yellowstone officials that soemone else provided many pages ago - I must keep missing it so I apologize. However, to get the satellite images you go to: glovis.usgs.gov... and plug in lat 44.37 lon -110.19 and enter Jan 2009. You're not ignorant - there's just so much information in this thread it's hard to go back to find specific bits.

3.2 reported in Wyoming. According to my firefox earthquake monitor. Just recently got into the earthquake/yellowstone topic, but haven't seen many register on FF in Wyoming. Just FYI

I looked on the USA earthquake map. It's towards the southwest corner of Wyoming. They really don't get many earthquakes there that I know of, so this is a bit unusual. It's about 2-3 hours south of Yellowsone/Teton area right off I-80. I'll add the link here:

earthquake.usgs.gov...

There's a bit of unusual activity on YFT today. Not big, just a bit different:

I saw this on USGS website. It showed 3.2 mag in southern Wyoming. The little red square showed up on this map and then 20 mins later, the little red square disappered.

They removed the Wyoming one from my widget - they only do this with Wyoming ones.
This is the 5th one over the last 4 weeks. Could they be drilling/quarry?

The Wyoming ones they pull off are the weekly open pit mine blasts they always hit about a Mag 3 or a little over.

Would be real fun to set-off.

Really ? So - this can't be good for an already sensitive area - is it?
