This book by a non-creationist is hard-hitting, factual, and objective. It does not argue in favor of Creation, but is a clear, balanced, responsible, and scientifically accurate account of the ever-growing crisis in evolutionary circles.
Denton marshals a dizzying array of scientific evidence to bolster his conclusions. First, he examines the evidence from physics and chemistry for the inevitability that the development of a universe like ours would have the evolution of life as its goal. He discusses gravity, the nuclear energy levels of certain atoms, water, light, carbon, uranium and more as elements whose existence is perfectly orchestrated to usher human life onto the universe's stage. Denton then discusses evolutionary biology, arguing that the biocentric nature of the universe undermines the Darwinian principles of contingent natural selection. Denton's arguments are weakened by their circular nature
Denton claims that a long chain of pervasive coincidences is supremely fit for the existence of life and our own species as the determined end of this evolving cosmos. Grounded in both teleology and biocentricity, his directed evolution is a combination of the anthropic principle and natural theology. Glaringly absent, however, is any serious consideration of the ramifications of evil, mutations, mass extinctions, contingency, and exobiology. Most scientists will reject Denton's commitment to purpose evolution as ill conceived and unconvincing.
‘in many cases there does not exist in the biological literature even an attempt to explain how these things have come about’. A classic example, he says, is the lung of the bird, which is ‘unique in being a circulatory lung rather than a bellows lung [see box]. I think it doesn’t require a great deal of profound knowledge of biology to see that for an organ which is so central to the physiology of any higher organism, its drastic modification in that way by a series of small events is almost inconceivable. This is something we can’t throw under the carpet again because, basically, as Darwin said, if any organ can be shown to be incapable of being achieved gradually in little steps, his theory would be totally overthrown.

Also what about the LUNGS in birds and reptiles? remember air moves into its rear air sacs. These then expel the air into the lung and the air flows through the lung into the front air sacs. The air is expelled by the front air sacs as the bird breathes out. The lung does not expand and contract as does a reptile’s or mammal’s. The blood which picks up oxygen from the lung flows in the opposite direction to the air so that blood with the lowest oxygen is exposed to air with the lowest oxygen. The blood with the highest oxygen is exposed to air with an even higher oxygen concentration. This ensures that, in every region of the circulation, the concentration of oxygen in the air is more than that of the blood with which it is in contact. This maximises the efficiency of oxygen transfer from the air to the blood. This is known as counter-current exchange. Such very efficient lungs help birds to handle the energy demands of flight, especially at high altitudes.
its called tidal breathing
And, Reptile lungs, like ours, has an in-out bellows-like arrangement and does not have the counter-current circulation system. For a reptile lung to change into a bird lung by small steps, while remaining functional throughout and providing a greater advantage at each step. Source:Hamm

*snip*. No we dont need to stone our children and stone our wifes and have slaves. That is the OLD Testament. In the Old Testaments time people had to literally be sinless to get into heaven. Sin is the ultimate crime. Sin = Death. They did not have a savior they had to do as God instructed. And doing those things to keep sin out was what they had to do. The only way back then to be forgiven of a sin was to sacrifise a Lamb to God. Since Jesus came and died on the cross he wiped away our sins. Now we dont need the old laws. We just need to ask Jesus for forgiveness, and he'll for give us. Although that doesnt mean take advantage of him cause God isnt stupid. Maybe that cleared some stuff up for ya.
That certainly didn't clear anything up for anyone. You just raised a hundred new questions all of which do not have a place in this specific thread.
Sin=Death? Where did you go to church?
Don't die everyone, if you do you are sinning.

Means that if u sin ur soul will die, God hates sin, thats why he sent Jesus to die on a cross for us. So we can be forgiven just by asking him from the heart. So if i were u i would either not take things out of context or go back to school and learn instead of dealin drugs or wutever u do.
