We have observed speciation many times.......

Dave420, Hope all is well...been a while....

Some good points in your post....thanks...but?>"Speciation"???? Kinda shaky grounds there...have you read...?.... www.amazon.com...

The boy is certainly not Creationist, right?

This book by a non-creationist is hard-hitting, factual, and objective. It does not argue in favor of Creation, but is a clear, balanced, responsible, and scientifically accurate account of the ever-growing crisis in evolutionary circles.

i prefer dentons second book

Denton marshals a dizzying array of scientific evidence to bolster his conclusions. First, he examines the evidence from physics and chemistry for the inevitability that the development of a universe like ours would have the evolution of life as its goal. He discusses gravity, the nuclear energy levels of certain atoms, water, light, carbon, uranium and more as elements whose existence is perfectly orchestrated to usher human life onto the universe's stage. Denton then discusses evolutionary biology, arguing that the biocentric nature of the universe undermines the Darwinian principles of contingent natural selection. Denton's arguments are weakened by their circular nature

now he agrees with evolution and speciation just not the natural selection bit he is a flipflopper trying to sell books

and it went down well with the science community

Denton claims that a long chain of pervasive coincidences is supremely fit for the existence of life and our own species as the determined end of this evolving cosmos. Grounded in both teleology and biocentricity, his directed evolution is a combination of the anthropic principle and natural theology. Glaringly absent, however, is any serious consideration of the ramifications of evil, mutations, mass extinctions, contingency, and exobiology. Most scientists will reject Denton's commitment to purpose evolution as ill conceived and unconvincing.

Yes, good points as usual

he did, however say...and has OT thinking...

‘in many cases there does not exist in the biological literature even an attempt to explain how these things have come about’. A classic example, he says, is the lung of the bird, which is ‘unique in being a circulatory lung rather than a bellows lung [see box]. I think it doesn’t require a great deal of profound knowledge of biology to see that for an organ which is so central to the physiology of any higher organism, its drastic modification in that way by a series of small events is almost inconceivable. This is something we can’t throw under the carpet again because, basically, as Darwin said, if any organ can be shown to be incapable of being achieved gradually in little steps, his theory would be totally overthrown.

Also what about the LUNGS in birds and reptiles? remember air moves into its rear air sacs. These then expel the air into the lung and the air flows through the lung into the front air sacs. The air is expelled by the front air sacs as the bird breathes out. The lung does not expand and contract as does a reptile’s or mammal’s. The blood which picks up oxygen from the lung flows in the opposite direction to the air so that blood with the lowest oxygen is exposed to air with the lowest oxygen. The blood with the highest oxygen is exposed to air with an even higher oxygen concentration. This ensures that, in every region of the circulation, the concentration of oxygen in the air is more than that of the blood with which it is in contact. This maximises the efficiency of oxygen transfer from the air to the blood. This is known as counter-current exchange. Such very efficient lungs help birds to handle the energy demands of flight, especially at high altitudes.

And, Reptile lungs, like ours, has an in-out bellows-like arrangement and does not have the counter-current circulation system. For a reptile lung to change into a bird lung by small steps, while remaining functional throughout and providing a greater advantage at each step. Source:Hamm

its called tidal breathing

many dinosaurs have also been shown to have a similar system to birds which is where its first observed even T-rex had it, its yet another piece of dinosaur > bird evolution evidence

i can think of working intermediary system that would infact be beneficial for anything that had it

maybe i have a better imagination then he does

the fact he cant imagine how doesnt mean its impossible

I don't know why people disbelieve the idea of less complex organisms evolving into more complex organisms. You can see traits passed down from one to the next and you can see a clear line from the beginning to the present in which your modern animals have all the traits of the creatures that came before them. Specific traits that have advantages which develop from time period to time period. Theres an excellent video demonstrating this. I could probably find a youtube video trying to prove that pigs can fly, theres a video for every side of every argument.

I love when people get all offended when you say they descended from monkeys. We are monkeys, we have all the same behavior patterns and similar development. I'm not saying a chimpanzee birthed a hairless ape called man one day out of the blue. I'm saying over millions of years of adaptation and breeding and mutation we found our current form. In the distant past, your long long lost ancestors were hairier, more hunched, tree dwelling, fruit eating primates. Watch a pack of baboons on animal planet, they have the same social hierarchy, the upper class get all the girls and all the food and they are very aggressive untill they lose power and then they become depressed and sick. All the 98 lbs weakling nerdy baboons get ulcers and depression because they don't have any power in their society untill they can have a coup to take power or perhapse they can be more sneaky and mate with the females behind the back of the king baboon. These sentances could replace the word baboon with the word human and the story is the same. Every time I see someone being a bully on a power trip I think, what an un-evolved baboon. Its instinct from our animal origins which drives us to do many of the things we do.

While I watched, the only thought that kept coming back to was that this aeries "disproves" evolution, and there are hundreds upon hundreds of videos and documentaries "proving" evolution.

All I'm saying is; you can prove or disprove anything you want. Now, whether it's right or not is another story.

Simple reason really. We no longer need to adapt to suit our environments. We currently force the environment to suit us. There is no reason to change, humans are in a stage of static evolution.

What really interests me is whether God had any choice in the creation of the world. - Albert Einstein

= = = = =

Great question by Einstein!!!!! Osiris, thank you for that, good stuff!!!!!

You know who his mentor was?

Michael Faraday , who lived from 1791-1867, and was the Inventor of the electric generator and the transformer. Did you know he discovered Benzene--used to make plastics, nylon and dyes

Did you know he produced the first test tubes and was one of the first to describe’ Field Theory’

Yes he was ‘Hailed’ by Albert Einstein as the foundation for his own scientific discoveries

He was an Elder in his church for over 20 years!

His famous quote was……"Speculations? I have none. I am resting on certainties. 'I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.'"

"A Christian finds his guide in the Word of God, and commits the keeping of his soul into the hands of God. He looks for no assurance beyond what the Word can give him, and if his mind is troubled by the cares and fears which assail him, he can go nowhere but in prayer to the throne of
grace and to Scripture."

"Since peace is alone in the gift of God; and as it is He who gives it, why should we be afraid? His unspeakable gift in His beloved Son is the ground of no doubtful hope."

And...

"The Bible, and it alone, with nothing added to it nor taken away from it by man, is the sole and sufficient guide for each individual, at all times and in all circumstances…For faith in the divinity and work of Christ is the gift of God, and the evidence of this faith is obedience to the commandment of Christ."

Interesting huh? OT would like to know what you think ok? Was he confused?

Or understood that existence is not EITHER/OR??????

*snip*. No we dont need to stone our children and stone our wifes and have slaves. That is the OLD Testament. In the Old Testaments time people had to literally be sinless to get into heaven. Sin is the ultimate crime. Sin = Death. They did not have a savior they had to do as God instructed. And doing those things to keep sin out was what they had to do. The only way back then to be forgiven of a sin was to sacrifise a Lamb to God. Since Jesus came and died on the cross he wiped away our sins. Now we dont need the old laws. We just need to ask Jesus for forgiveness, and he'll for give us. Although that doesnt mean take advantage of him cause God isnt stupid. Maybe that cleared some stuff up for ya.

That certainly didn't clear anything up for anyone. You just raised a hundred new questions all of which do not have a place in this specific thread.

Sin=Death? Where did you go to church?

Don't die everyone, if you do you are sinning.

Mod Edit: Removed previously removed material from quote.

Look man u just took another thing i said out of context. Maybe u should go back to school instead of dealing out drugs and wut not and actually learn. Sin=Death. Means that if u sin ur soul will die, God hates sin, thats why he sent Jesus to die on a cross for us. So we can be forgiven just by asking him from the heart. So if i were u i would either not take things out of context or go back to school and learn instead of dealin drugs or wutever u do.

Dude thank you so much for posting that. That is by far the most hilarious and awesome video I have ever seen. I would have never been able to appreciate this hilarious video if it were not for you, thank you so much!

As for this guy's interpretation of it, it should be taken as seriously as everything else that comes out of preachers mouths.

Edit: Trying to stay on topic here!

I don't even know where to begin. Did I take it out of context, or did I just interpret what you said differently than you were hoping for?

Your thread is titled, "Evolution Officially Debunked". The videos you provided were not significant enough proof (not even close) to call it debunked. End of story. This truth is the same for drug dealers as well as everyday citizens.
