It is kind of funny that the average person doesn't know much about their actual diet. They'd rather eat and hope that it's good for them, rather then making sure for themselves. It isn't any coincidence that the US has the highest obesity rating worldwide.

I got my bags packed but the only problem with all that is, I think the Amish are pacifists so probably not the best place to be if the government is policing the populus.

Here is the original thread about this, since it appears many people never saw the original one:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Also, here is the County Sheriff's dept. that has the SWAT team that would have made the "alledged raid" www.loraincountysheriff.com...

I sent them an email but haven't had a response yet. I figured I would try that route first, before making a call.

LaGrange OH police dept:
www.lagrangepolicedepartment.com...

Their website says: Public records coming soon!

I am still very skeptical of this.

That was a good article about grass-fed beef and free range livestock. I have free range chickens and sell off excess eggs (about 2 dozen a week on average) to my coworkers and friends. According to my customers as well as my husband and myself, my eggs not only look different from grocery store eggs (the yolks are a deeper color, sometimes almost orange), but they taste different and have a lot more flavor. They probably also have more nutrients, lower cholesterol, and more Omega 3 fatty acids. They're also a month or three fresher!

It's amazing how quickly people have forgotten what real foods taste like. Last year I provided eggs for a campout event that I attended, and I can't tell you how many people came up to me and commented about the TASTE and FLAVOR of the eggs. I can't eat eggs in a restaurant any more, they're bland and rubbery ...

Anyway, I ramble. But why is the government so intent on protecting us from ourselves? If I WANT to drink raw milk because I know that pasteurization kills all the enzymes (and most of the vitamins) that would otherwise help us digest the milk, why can't I? Let me sign a waiver and assume my own risks. If I want free-range eggs knowing I might occasionally get an embryo, and if I want hormone and drug free grass-fed beef knowing that it hasn't been injected and inspected and disinfected, why shouldn't I be able to get it? Funny, I always thought that the availibility of goods in a capitalist market was determined by demand ( i. e. what people WANT), not what the government decides we should be able to have.

They aren't protecting us from alcohol and tobacco yet, and they're doing a sorry job of protecting us from illegal drugs. But real food .. yeah .. it's extremely difficult to get, especially if you live in a city or urban area.

That tells me two things: One, that they could do more about illegal drugs if they really wanted to, and two, they are expending more effort on controlling the availability of real (uncontaminated?) food than they are on the so-called war on drugs! Is fresh grass-fed beef that isn't full of antibiotics and hormones really more dangerous than crack or meth??

How did she email you to say that the armed men made off with her computers?

Not sure if anyone pointed this out but an email address is not linked to a computer but can be accessed from anywhere.
Also, the OP said that the email address was linked to the website. If this is the case then the "armed men" would need to know the ftp address of the site or the server on which the email is stored, and then they would need the username and password. At lot of effort just to send someone an email.
Sometimes people can be a bit to sceptical. However this is not to say the rest of the story is untrue just that it is unlikely that is was the "armed men" who emailed back

Yes I've already gone down the same route as you and haven't gotten any email back from the city or the police department. This whole situation seems fishy and the community seems to be tight lipped about it. I have already seen the "Coming soon" part of the police records page I stated that in an earlier post, I just don't know what to make of all of this.

Agreed I couldn't see the "powers that be" sending me an email to validate this families claim of a home invasion. I just don't think they would benefit from it what so ever.

I've had farm fresh eggs and your right they do look and taste completely different, almost more rich. But the whole problem with drugs being shut off and food being shut off is that our Government makes alot of money from the drug trafficing into this country. In contrast they make nothing off of what a farmer sells himself, except taxing they don't reep the same type of profits as in store bought foods. So in essence drugs are good to our government because they make money and organic food is bad because the government doesn't own it.

If it hasn't been said already (I couldn't see it), if you are raided by a government agency, under the Patriot Act they can now seize all property and assets, detain you for however long they like, without charge and without access to a lawyer, and PROSECUTE YOU FURTHER FOR SPEAKING TO THE PRESS.

I would imagine that they are not permitted to go to the press about their story.
Therefore, even if your massively manipulated media were willing to report this they probably don't even know about it.

It makes me chuckle that so many of you accept that your media is restricted and controlled, and then don't accept any story unless they report it.

I've been following this story through googling 'manna storehouse raid'. What I've read also says the family follow the seventh day sabbath and homeschool their children, so I'd bet they already are known to be 'different' in that area, which, in so many peoples minds = dangerous. Also, the husband is serving in the Army...I believe it was, and is overseas right now in Iraq. Note: there are no mainstream news sources following it yet that I have found thru google. I know organic farmers, preparedness folk, 7th day sabbath folks around here (my area) fairly well. They have been threatened verbally but never had this kind of armed response. They always figured the verbal threats were just to see if they would 'flinch', when they didn't nothing ever came of it.

A few of the links I followed:

Well, you see... email is located on the World Wide Web. We use computers to access the web, and different computers can access the same web!
So if your not on your computer, you can still connect to the web from a different computer!
I know, its insane!
Did you know that people can now even access the World Wide Web from their cell phones!

We are living in fast time my friend

I agree since the MSM continues to manipulate anything and everything said but if a major news article does report on this, it would be a step in the right direction. Also the woman I mailed had promised a statement "when" she makes one; so I suppose they couldn't have told her to keep too quiet.

Yes I've read all of the articles you have posted. There is no major news article on this because no major organization has yet to cover it. She promised me a copy of the original transcript when she does actually make that very statement. I will keep you all posted if and when I receive that document. I was well aware that they had odd visits before the initial raid but this just further states the unconstitutionality of this whole situation. Keep looking for something new, we're bound to hear more abou this.

I think people forget that we live in 2008. There is such thing as emailing from your phone. Maybe even emailing from a work computer? people need to think of the options instead of jumping to conclusions so quickly.

Would you also know if it is unlawful to post an IP? Would anyone know that?

No it's not in fact, IP addresses are all over the place and no it has no concern to you.

It's bad mojo to post an IP address. It's a warning to anyone messing with it first of all.

Second of all I can't tell you why. My post would be instantly erased. The last board I did something similar on and explained why. Post was erased and I was banned. Live and learn I guess.

Edit: for clarity: It would be erased for my explanation and was on another board I never posted an IP address there just explained why not to.

From official Cleveland OH news:

"The problem is these people on the Internet, from who knows where, were not there," said sheriff's Capt. Richard Resendez. "They make up all these innuendoes and create all these issues that are basically not true."

One of the highly charged postings reads: "SWAT team with semiautomatic rifles . . . herded the family onto the couches in the living room, and kept guns trained on parents, children, infants and toddlers, from approximately 11 AM to 8 PM."

Another says: "It reeks of police state, lack of Constitutional Rights, and excessive use of force." Yet another site adds a photo of a SWAT team with guns pointed. The SWAT photo is from Long Beach, Calif.

Resendez said four deputies conducted the search over three or four hours - not the nine claimed on some sites. There was no SWAT team and no semiautomatic weapons.

"We don't even have semiautomatic weapons," he said.

Yeah, I don't believe the official story at all!! I was skeptical from the moment I read it. Maybe they are NOT speaking out, because they are lying...well grossly exaggerating on what really happened and they know they will be caught.

I have to side with the "exaggerated and fabricated" story. *Fail*

In another thread, I gave the telephone number for the local PD. Has anyone called it? It would be much quicker than waiting on emails.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

For those that think this is some type of conspiracy to somehow manipulate our diets, I wonder how the gov't is going to manipulate the commercial fishing market?

It's going to be difficult to get all those swimming little creatures to ingest a malevolent chemical.

Edit: I just read greeneyedleo's post. Good work!

What- you think they are gonna just sit there when the govt breaks out the horns and pitchforks? I am willing to bet $$ The Amish would pack up and be gone (or a lot of them) before Uncle Sam Hain shows up.....

BTW- I agree about the fresh eggs. I used to have chickens- and my only regret is a) they are still in SC, and I cant get to them, and B) 4 stupid chickens- and I only got like 3 eggs a week. And then I found out one of my hens was a rooster.....
