But this food is not in the PUBLIC supply chain anyone ordering from the coop is a registered member that has signed a waiver.

You do not know that for an absolute certainty. When all is said and done, and all facts are known, I'll wager that there was some infraction(s) committed.

As for the FDA being corrupt to obtain cushy private sector jobs: when I see proof or examples of that then I'll believe it.

This will probably be part of Obama's Carbon Tax that he wants to impose on all of us. Remember, he has already promised to bankrupt the coal companies.

If a tax is imposed on the ranchers, guess who will end up paying for it?

You and I, that's who.

I get a kick out of the quote 'We don't even have semiautomatic weapons.'

That is a definite lie by them. Semi-automatic is ANY gun that automatically chambers another round after one has been fired. One bullet for ONE trigger pul. 98% all law enforcement has a semi-automatic handgun. The other 2% must be revolvers.

FULLYautomatic is a gun that you hold the trigger down and it keeps firing. Entire clip possible for ONE trigger pull.

What scares me most is if this 'Officer' doesn't even know what his gun is.

It would cripple almost every farmer in the country. The only ones who would possibly be able to make it are the huge conglomerate farms but I seriously doubt they would be able to turn any real profit having to foot the bill for that sort of tax.

My question is this....if these men are to be taxed $1200-$1500 per animal...where will that money go to? How will it be used? How can the government charge farmers for animals releasing gas that is harming something that they do not own?

What is next...a human fart tax? Im not trying to be crude or funny here, this is getting to be ridiculous. I have a very hard time believing that these animals are producing so much methane that it is harming the environment.

As far as I know cattle have been here almost as long as we have...why hasnt the gas already destroyed the environment if it is as volatile and harmful as they claim?

This is just one more B.S. way for our evil government to rob us all blind and force our dependance on them for our food and survival

Edit: spelling

In Ohio the State Highway Patrol can not go onto private property except in "hot pursuit" of vehicles. The Sheriff is the agency that would be used in a case such as you presented.
My say on this is that there is a coming push to stop all small farming in this country. Our so-called "health" is being controlled by greedy, uncaring and sometimes crafty individuals for wealth, power and lowering the world's population. Listen to Warner and Rockefeller as they are in print and video saying that the world's "feeders" should be reduced 86%.
There was a Pittsburgh Post Gazette article last fall that stated an Amish man was imprisoned for selling milk from his farm...
It does appear that the Sheriff is responsible with the Agriculture Department's assistance. It will take more money than this coop will make in a decade to defend this intrusion into their legally binding agreement into this matter. The agent that came in to purchase those eggs can even lie and say that he did not have to sign those coop agreement papers. These coop members will need all the monetary support they can get.
I, for one, don't eat meat except on rare occassions because I know what processes and chemicals are pumped into "commercial" meat products. Look at the terminator seeds and genetically modified foods as well to see how far down these minions have stooped to make us starve to death. Look who owns the patent for terminator seeds. Could it be possible that the US Congress holds 80% of this patent?
My original thought was that it was a blackop group that was involved in this matter; in that case the group would be told to shut up or their families might be harmed. (I do know this is their MO first hand!) However, we all need to write the controlling agency (USDA) and Ohio Department of Agriculture.

www.agri.ohio.gov...

These could have been any one of many licensing requirements that were overlooked or avoided by the group.

It does appear that a coop would be exempt from "inspection"?

(P) “Retail dealer” or “retail butcher” means any place of business where the sales of products are made to consumers only, at least seventy-five per cent of the total dollar value of sales of products represents sales to household consumers, and the sales of products to consumers other than household consumers do not exceed the adjusted dollars limitation for annual retail sales published in the Federal Register by the food safety and inspection service in the United States department of agriculture.

codes.ohio.gov...

I don't know how this will look; I have not ever quoted before... Sorry...

This is the code that was used to obtain this warrent probably, section 918.00.

(H) In addition to any remedies provided by law and irrespective of whether or not there exists an adequate remedy at law, the director may apply to the court of common pleas of the county in which a violation of sections 918.01 to 918.12 of the Revised Code or rules adopted under those sections occurs for a temporary or permanent injunction or other appropriate relief concerning the violation.

same site quoted

In other words, the Ohio Department of Agriculture can upon any whim have the Sheriff issue search warrants, violate rights, seize property, etc. So, we need to get a copy of the warrant asap to see what was alledged so it can not be changed at a later date. This happens as well (from experience). Just a note of interest to the family involved: keep your original "so-called" search and seizure papers well hidden and numerous copies. It is a hindsight; but, don't leave one line blank in those papers as things can be added. Don't leave a blank between your signature and the body of text either. Don't allow any addendums by stating such at your signature.

I was reading the rest of the posts and noticed the USDA was attempting to pass the Cow Carbon Emission Tax on cattle at $1500/head/year. Guess who will have to pay taxes of say $500/year/person next? You had better head this one off now or you will be paying to exhale and fluctuate. It would we punishable by termination or work release?

I have called and left a message for John & Jacqueline Stowers, giving them my personal cell number for the ATS MIX show to contact me. One, to see if Katie Stowers is a real person and did in fact respond to the OP and two, to see if their attorney will allow them to talk to Johnny and I regarding this incident and get to the facts of this story.

I will keep everyone advised in this thread.

Fact is neither of us know what is actually going to come up in a trial, I would bet in favor of said government. Sadly but at the moment thats the truth understandable but neither of us know where their sales were going, this is supposable a private membership coop, so quite possibly we will see their transaction records.

I've also heard about this Cow Tax, maybe another end of why they would start to shut down private farms but I would wonder why they wouldn't just Tax the private farmer? I suppose we'll be hearing something about Tax evasion of some sort as well.

cp.onlinedockets.com...

This is the lorain county, ohio court website. Does anyone know what other documents would be available online if this raid just occurred?

I must leave to assist my daughter because she has to remain with her smallest while I take the older daughter for her sleep study II. I will look at this with interest.

First I would like to say that this story is pretty crazy. If it all went down as original said, I think it's just the kind of rights violation to make everyone mad at the govt. How can you be divided about food theft...it's one of the most basic things you can do...eat that is.
Second: I wonder if this has anything to do with that Codex Alimentarius lady...? You guys know who I'm talking about? She claimed that there was a giant conspiracy by food and drug companies to control everything we consume...?
Third and last: Maybe this will inspire some one on here to stop eating meat from ANY commercial source. I started being a vegetarian of sorts one year ago next month...I've never felt healthier. I feel like I am doing good by the earth but more importantly I am helping to stick it to big business...
That's my three cents.

Very good I was unaware of the law in that state, at least gives us further proof that it was a sheriffs department. I live in Massachusetts and like maybe 6 months ago there was a Raids across the street next to my house crawling with staties... Wasn't aware of the difference between states.

From official Cleveland OH news:

"The problem is these people on the Internet, from who knows where, were not there," said sheriff's Capt. Richard Resendez. "They make up all these innuendoes and create all these issues that are basically not true."

One of the highly charged postings reads: "SWAT team with semiautomatic rifles . . . herded the family onto the couches in the living room, and kept guns trained on parents, children, infants and toddlers, from approximately 11 AM to 8 PM."

Another says: "It reeks of police state, lack of Constitutional Rights, and excessive use of force." Yet another site adds a photo of a SWAT team with guns pointed. The SWAT photo is from Long Beach, Calif.

Resendez said four deputies conducted the search over three or four hours - not the nine claimed on some sites. There was no SWAT team and no semiautomatic weapons.

"We don't even have semiautomatic weapons," he said.

Yeah, I don't believe the official story at all!! I was skeptical from the moment I read it. Maybe they are NOT speaking out, because they are lying...well grossly exaggerating on what really happened and they know they will be caught.

I have to side with the "exaggerated and fabricated" story. *Fail*

[edit on 12/10/2008 by greeneyedleo]

Umm.... so the Cleveland PD doesn't have semi-automatic weapons? I guess they all go around with bolt action rifles...

Edited to Add: Contagion2012 you beat me to the punch on this one!

Good afternoon. I do not think you are skeptical at all. I would recommend a documentary called "The Future of Food" it is an eye opener for me. It goes deeply into the reasoning behind taking out every small farmer and replacing with good old Monsanto farms. Check it out I got it on Netflix.

all those who are skeptical about the story, there was a similar incident here in NYC. an amish farmer from upstate was selling raw milk (which is a million times better for you than the stuff at your local grocery store) had his farm raided by a SWAT team who took his supply of milk and slapped a bunch of charges on him. I'll try to find the link, but im just letting people know that this type of stuff definitely happens. all the conspiracy nuts here should take a look into the food industry, where probably the biggest conspiracy is taking place right under our noses

Thanks for the positive feedback, I think some should have a more open mind before shutting the book. this website; here, deals with a proposition called the Alert Codex Action. Which may have something to do with the lady you mentioned; talks about the FDA labled natural remedies as drugs and taxing them as pharmacuticals.

It is true they want to impose a tax. It was posted elsewhere on ATS a short time ago. I can't remember the thread though.

Cow Tax Proposal

lmao.. I just mentioned this in the "It's Too Late" thread about global warming, and bam! by golly they're gonna do something about all the methane those animals are emitting - wow, what's next? a personal tax on the CO2 and Methane we emit annually?!...

lol, probably have us all wear these little gas meters so they can acrue the amount of taxable emissions we produce - probably see it in a few years on the form 1040...

Really !! and just think how much Methane was being produced when the Dino's roamed the earth ! (yet life survived)

Will they use the money to build big Air Filter systems to filter out the gas ? What a farce !
