That's funny because absolutely no one I know voted him for re-election. Most people I know just assumed it was somehow rigged.

I know Blaine every thread I start is some conspiracy with no valid points. You come on my threads and tell me how Im a conspiracy mongerer. Let me ask you a question. What do called conspiracies do you feel is actually real. In other words what story that we are told to believe do you not buy. You can bring up anyone 3 tell me 3. It can be from UFOs to JFK I dont care list three. The difference between a guy like yourself and a guy like me is I dont buy everything that comes off of the MSM and the government. Both have lied to me and everyone else WAY to many times. So when I hear news I try to look from all angles. Critically thinking is what they call it. I could be right I could be wrong but Ill do my homework first. Also all my "conspiracies" are backed up by evidence. Whether you choose to listen to it is up to you.

In fact I tell you what let me share some of my "conspiracy threads" that have been shown to be true shall we? Ill do it my next post give me a sec.

Does it occur to any of you to actually research Illinois politics before assuming you know why we are in the situation we are in?

Being Governor of Illinois requires BIG donations to the campaign war chests, GOP or Democrat alike and there's no easier way to fill up those coffers than with shady deals. Then, in return for the votes, you get favors. He who carries the most influential money wins the votes.

C'mon, it's obvious that the individual Illinois voters are screwed before the candidate is even announced to us, so, keep your wise cracking comments in your head, please.
Don't you see why EVERY ILLINOIAN that has posted to this thread is relieved that the law, whatever it's motivation is, is coming here to clean up the corruption? Don't you hear it in the blogs about Gov. Blago's arrest? Do you understand that we, as Illinoisans, WANT some integrity to grace our Capital's halls?
Go scoff at your own voters, for whom you have some understanding of. Because Illinois politics, from the Governors position down to the lowly village board, is different than anything you have understood before.

Learn about it, then come and stand aghast at it. Until then, you all just speculate how it ties into YOUR favorite conspiracy like you have been.

Either the corruption on the BOA is that big and well connected or th BOA is actually scare to death of a mad American consumer doing runs in their banks.

To tell you the truth I see elections now a days in this country to be nothing but a scam, it most be a lot of money laundering and been passed under the table if the governor of Illinois won the second term when his popularity was so low.

Good Old Chicago can never shake their glorious and colorful past.

Obama is in on this because he was going to make Blago "Head of a Priate Foundation". Also Resko and Obama are in trouble on the land deal. Bank fired an officer that is turning on Resko and Obama. GRAND JURY SUBPOENAS ISSUED ON REZKO/OBAMA LAND DEAL, all this stuff is on www.drudgereport.com.... I doubt if Obama will make it to the Presidentcy, there seems to be alot of dirt around him. Jesse Jackson seems to be one of many lobbying for the Senator seat which Blago was auctioning off to the higest bidder. He must of had some dirt on Obama because he was trying to get a position under Obama in the "Change to Win" and get a salary. They are all dirty, It will come out.

sure it could of been. My only issue with this is why didnt he do it before? Are you telling me he knew the exact date he was going to be arrested? I doubt that because the FBI says they woke him up at 6am to do it. He had no clue when he was gonna be arrested.

You are not reading posts on this thead are you? This is the third time I have stated this....and others have gone over it as well.

The Feds said that they had to move today because Blag was going to appoint someone to the seat TODAY OR TOMORROW...according to the wire-taps...

Yes he can still make an appointment while he is in custody BUT by doing so he would further the case against himself...Get it? If he gives the seat to the candidate that promised him money then the Feds case gets made for them.

ALSO...who would accept the appointment now that they know the feds have them on tape negotiating for it? They would be giving the feds a strong case to arrest them...right now it is just "conspiracy to defraud"..

In the meanwhile the State Senate is maneuring to remove Blag's authority to make the appointment.

An injunction barring the appointment would be easy given the evidence.

Lastly...who would accept the appointment from him given the news that he was SELLING THE SEAT? The guy that offered a half million up front and a million later?...Does that guy want to complete the feds case for them? Anyone that was not in the bidding would be worried about what it looks like to recieve the appointment given the news.

No...Blag is cornered and won't be making any appointment from jail. He will likely try to negotiate with prosecutors for a more lenient sentence if he resigns and relinquishes his authority to appoint someone to the seat.

If not the State Senate will take away his authority....they are strategizing now.

Well, let's see here. Look up the stories centering on how Blago made it free for Senior citizens to ride the CTA KNOWING it would kick the crap out of every other rider of the CTA in the city? How it would blindside the CTA and effect routes and fares of every bus, Metra or El line?

He didn't look into it, he was padding the eventual Jury.

Look into the recent city-wide, county-wide and state-wide "good deed" of Rowdy Rod. The effects are deep cuts, but, the benefits are very, VERY shallow.

This guy has been neck-deep since he got married to Rep Dick Mell's daughter.

1) cnn's original headline stated that he was arrested for corruption relating to obama's seat AND that he was under investigation for 3 years (without any other addendum) ... only hours later did they throw in the Tribune Co. thing ... the seat has been vacant for what 2 months? Why not talk about what else he's been investigated for? And why nothing was done last week? Last month? Last year?

That's because hours later Fitzgerald had a press conference and revealed that information. Nothing was done because they wanted to build the strongest case possible. As I stated earlier, the more accounts you have the guy for, as long as there is reasonable evidence, the more likely you will put him in jail and send a message.

2) Notice how the Republic factory occupation/BoA is suddenly out of the headlines? I only checked a couple mass media sites but if someone can point out that it hasn't totally dropped out of the national media, I'd appreciate it.

It may have dropped off the mass media because it was yesterday's news and today a governor just got arrested for TRYING TO SELL A SEAT IN THE SENATE!

3) The only reason I can see for arresting him today would be if he was about to announce his pick today or tomorrow, and it was a corrupt pick. But think about it ... arresting him does nothing to his power to make a pick. He would have to resign or be impeached to lose the power to pick Obama's replacement. He can state his pick in jail if he'd like. If you really wanted to prevent him from doing wrong, wouldn't you just leak a story to the media about it and call for impeachment?

let's say they wait a week, what happens if he puts someone in office? Then the FBI looks like crap and Fitz gets canned. It seems that they probably made a case out against him for this charge and then moved as quickly as possible to avoid blame and questions from the public. We complain that the US didn't act fast enough with the information that there was likely to be a terrorist attack on the US. yet here, you say its a conspiracy because they acted suddenly? I don't see how someone can take one point of view, and then question why someone else would act in a way similar to that point of view. They were pre-empting the damage. The truth is, we have no idea how close he was to putting someone in the senate, but it seems to me that acting sooner than later was better for everyone.

Now the more I think about it, I can see that the BoA link isn't the strongest. But just seeing how everything unfolded today SOMETHING shady is definitely going on, whether it is indeed the BoA thing, that TPTB didn't like his pick, or that he has some evidence of corruption with regards to Obama and they are shutting him up.

I see it as exactly as we have explained it.

Let's face it Illinoisans, this guy should haven't even made it to a second term. But you really need to look not into WHY he was arrested, but why he was arrested AT THIS TIME. A simple "he was about to pick a corrupt replacement" isn't a 100% fit for me with all the other surrounding events. It's just my opinion, of course, but if we can't explore these avenues what is the point of even having a conspiracy board? Something smells fishy and it's not just Blago's dirty laundry ...

No, I totally agree, however, we weren't exactly given a Saint to take over his office. It was crook A or crook B, take your pick. At least we were familiar with crook A.

It's not about him picking a corrupt replacement, its about the fact that Peter Fitzgerald would have lost his job, and the FBI would have looked like idiots if they allowed someone to pay their way into the Senate seat. A seat which is supposed to represent the citizens of our state, and be qualified. Qualifications are not met by who can pay the highest and benefit Blagovich.

Why do you need to attack when people don't agree? Why not just link to more evidence regarding this governor that proves the B of A caused this to happen immediately afterward. Also show that this investigation started after his interaction with B of A. That would be good evidence. Show me that and I'll apologize.

This guy was a bad man who people have wanted gone for some time. That State has long been a hotbed of corrupt politicians. I can empathize because our State has just been cleaned up.

Of course if you just want people posting who agree with everything you say?

Blaine I dont care if you disagree if you read the thread 90% of the people disagree with me. What got me was when you said this was another fake conspiracy thread.
