This is ridiculous. Shoktek, you talked about military men knowing what they're going to war for, but this is entirely different. Kill soldiers, fine. Shoot them, etc. Don't kill them, burn their bodies, drag them thru the streets, and rejoice at their charred corpses.

What about what our soldiers did in Mai Lai? What about Winter soldiers? What about so many other things? What about that black man that got dragged down some country road a couple of years ago by a rope tied to a car? What about Ginto? Humans all over the world do stupid #ty evil things. None of us is any better, given the situation these people are in, you have no idea what you would do.

You have no idea of what it is to go through war. I dont either. But somehow, I imagine it as a lot less peachy then the people on this board who think the iraqis should be throwing rose petals and dancing to britney spears.

Somehow someone who doesnt go enlist, who isnt willing to directly kill people, will call for the blood of a village.

I guess it does take a whole village to raise a child, eh?

you keep referring to something that happend half a century ago and several aeveral different regimes ago.

Have you not seen the people all over this board talk about nuking Iraq? Wiping out entire cities?

I don't think human nature has changed in half a century, so therefore it is important that we examine these things with the hopes of human nature's benefit for the future. Fatal as this may be, people need to understand.

Wise words.

You get upset when an American is killed and then when an Iraqi civilian is killed you say "Hey it's war, sometimes it happens". Well, sometimes this happens too. Soldiers and mercenaries are paid to die.

I believe we call it collateral damage.
