over population simple solution

Ok. in one word, my simple solution is.... VASECTIMYS!!! yes its spelt wrong, but i mean that we need to make less people have children. mainly men. like, not cut theyre penises off, that would be too cruel. they can still have sex. but no children. unless they adopt. so we have to make them sterile. BEFORE YOU START FLAMING ME, HEAR ME OUT. YES THIS IS INSANE, I DOUBT THERE IS ANYWAY THIS COULD EVER HAPPEN, BUT IT IS A GOOD SOLUTION TO SOLVE OBESITY, GENETICALLY PASSED DIESEASES, AND MANY OTHER HUMAN INEFFICIANCYS.

so anyway, an easier way to solve all this would jsut be to kill alot of people. but, noone would like that idea. so, this is less cruel and gives almost everyone a fair chance. so what we have to do is design some test. mental test, physical test, maybe a few more. anyways, the entire population will be put through these tests, and teh people who pass will be worthy to pass on theyre genes. there will be lots of people who dont pass, so there will be alot of people who dont have kids. that means that in a couple of generations, the population will have decreased. and the people that are still there will be super smart, super strong, or both. and, mentally challanged people should be "sterilized" as well.

i kno many more will flame me, and it will take me alot of explaining to get my entire idea through to you, the forum readers. but its a good idea.

My question stands. If you think that's the best idea then I think you'd have already gotten snipped yourself. And don't give me a "My insurance won't cover it." excuse.

i dont think its the BEST idea over all, its just the best idea i can come up with. there are probably many people much smarter then me who have better ideas. but if they do, why havnt they been put into practice yet? and no i havnt been snipped, since theyre people like you who prevent my idea from being put into practice....

who are you to decide this. and better question intelligence is what our species needs? what about athletes? or how about instead of vasectomies we just kill people. no wait we need people in McDonald. okay so how about we just get better technology. build taller buildings underwater cities cities in space. sounds like sci-fi but give it another 50 years and we will get it.

well i tried very hard to see some way this was possible...and no go. but for your sake i honestly did think about it. problem is as people, most of us (especially males) feel the need to "preserve our legacy" so to speak, it wasn't anything that freudian for me, but i did feel the need to pass something on, and have children. to many people would go crazy about this idea, understandably, and it would not work.

thats the main problem behind this idea. who is there to say that "your too dumb" or "your not strong enough" there is no way that we can give someone that power to decide. besides, its just a crazy rant. i know that there is no way the gouverment would accept this, i know that there is no way that the people would accept this. like you said, we could just kill a bunch of people. but we cant. just like we cant do this. our problem is that we have evolved too much. maybe we should keep the dumb people and kill/ give a vasectimy to the smart people. then we wont be inventing new weapons and new ways to pollute the earth. i kno that noone will take this seriously, hell i dont even take this seriously, i just think that IF there was a way, this is one solution to over population.

The BEST thing we could probably do is A) in developed countries stop increasing welfare benefits per additional child and in the USA get rid of those **** anchor baby laws, and B) remove the religious stigma about using and distributing birth control world-wide.

Seriously, for me if it comes down to... not have kids, or fight for the space to have mine...

particularly on some level I'd know, everyone is too stupid to fund the space program, Terra form, invent and use vertical farms

seriously, if population is a problem for the human race, then, cull the herd for my future because it never has to be and people would be showing me that their gene pool creates others that are simply asleep at the wheel and I might as well make room for more optimistic characters...

All right I'll bite. Various religions and human rights groups would not make this feasible. On that logic we could just get rid of healthcare and let survival of the fittest prevail as in nature. I think the only answer is for us to take care of earth. The earth is really not overpopulated. It's the population's disregard to our environment and other life forms that puts us in our current state of overpopulation. If I recall correctly, the entire population of the earth could be granted a half acre of land and fit in side the boundaries of Australia, something to think about.

so, to quell anymore people yelling at me for being insane, i DO relize how stupid this idea sounds. its just something ive been thinking of. but, i relize that no matter what we think of, we can not solve the worlds over population problems in one life time. if i was a big important gouverment personell, i might think more on it. but seeing as im just a lowly civilian, theres no point in worrying about matters that are beyond my power to change.

Have you recently been reading Mein Kampf or something?

The Nazis already tried this when Hitler wanted to create a super race of Aryans. Also, the Nazis had a sterilization program aimed at the Jews whereby they would sterilize men and women using radiation I believe.

This is a ridiculous and oppressive idea to say the least. You should apologize for suggesting it and vow not to come up with any more "ideas" for at least the next six months.
